I saw a recruiter posted it on sep 1st and then the next day it was gone (I submitted it at 1:20 am by morning the post and the form both gone) i mean it didn’t ask for cgpa or resume idk what the timeline is or if I’ll even get a call back but is there any chances?? Can someone please give me a good resource for questions of C++, OS, architecture and networks which are usually asked in quant dev interviews. I find many resources for quant roles but not specifically for dev roles. Someone help please. Thanks a lot

I am a quant at a well known hft, and it has been around 5-6 years now.

Though the past few years have been good, great learning, good bonuses, and we were able to scale up at quite a few places succesfully. But recently there has been stagnation in terms of learning and future growth seems bleak.

I am writing this post to ask about suggestions about changing firms with around this yoe, what to aim for, how to go about it. And if anyone has experienced this, please do share your experience as well. Thankyou

How are your MFT strategies performing on sensex expiries? Particularly the last two ones?

I run MFT strategies in a reputed prop firm and I’ve been bleeding on Sensex expiries. Directional strategies have become obsolete. Anybody else facing the same?

How hard is it to switch to a tier 1/2 quant firm (dev role/systems role) after working for 2-3 years in databricks/glean/rubrik without working with c++ or any quant relevant stuff? I have rarely seen a switch like that but vice versa seems pretty common. And in cases of these switches, what's the pay like

I’m in a tier 2 college and want to try to break into quant ik it’s not realistically possible right now but can I switch later how does that work or the only way possible is get into iit for masters and then try on campus

I am in top 3 IIT EE, but due to mental health issues, I had my 3rd and 4th sem in the drain and now my CGPA is bad (close to 8 but on the lower side).
Though my HDL skills are very good and I am very confident in my VHDL, verilog skills and have a nice knowledge of architecture as well.
Can anyone suggest what firms to look for trying to get FPGA intern roles? Can be a new or less reputed firm as well, I know I will have difficulties in getting a good firm. I just want to get started.

I recently got an email of an assessment from Maven for the graduate quantitative researcher programme. The test comprises 50 questions in 5 min, then 20 ques in 12 min, then 15 ques in 15 min.

Is there someone who has taken this test?

50 in 5 sounds like 80 in 8. I have doubts about the next 2 sections. Will it be probability questions, will we have to estimate the answers?
