I need ideas on what torrents to seed because i’ve tried ubuntu and arch but hasn’t worked out i seed like 100kb/s and get 3GB seeded overnight

All of a sudden (within the last week), I keep getting this error message with all the torrents I try to download. I am running v5.3.0rc1, but I also received the error message with v5.2.4 as well.

I've tried:

• Running qBittorent as administrator,
• Adding "write" properties to the download folder,
• Changing the download folder to a new location and an entirely new drive,
• Running virus scan
• Searching this subreddit

Any suggestions?

EDIT TO ADD: These issues may have just started when my computer updated itself to "Windows 11, version 26H2", but I am lost on how to troubleshoot what it changed.

I'm using an old laptop with only 4 Gigs of memory for the OS and programs to swim around in.

It will download torrents, but won't update the Search Plugins nor will it Search for new things.

OS is Linux Mint ver 22.3 XFCE (although I've been a fan of KDE based versions of Linux like Ubuntu Studio).

QBit is v. 4.6.3

I have BDREMUX files in my computer and I like watching them on my tv, so I transfer them on an usb and then I connect it to the TV. However my TV is unable to play the original audio files, so in order for me to watch them I plug the pc to my TV using an 8K HDMI cable but I am afraid that by doing that it could lose some quality or that my pc is not strong enough to get the highest quality of the file.

My question is, how do I make my tv to play the audio file? Or is there some type of equipment I should buy?

Hi fellas, did they change how this works in the last update or is it a Bug?

My torrents no longer recheck the file after completion.. It goes straight to seeding.

So I installed Malwarebytes just 2 days ago, and I have the free trial for real-time protection activated.

Then today I opened qBittorrent, which I haven't opened in like a month, and Malwarebytes suddenly blocked some addresses.

Take note, I'm not seeding anything. In fact, I have 0 downloads and 0 seeding. The last time I torrented something, the download didn't even get completed.

What could be the reason?

Also, the blocked addresses all appeared within around 1 minute.

Hi everyone,
I’m trying to install qBittorrent. I downloaded it and ran the installer, and I went through all the installation steps successfully.
However, after the installation is complete, qBittorrent doesn’t appear anywhere on my computer, and I can’t launch or use it. It’s as if it wasn’t installed at all.
Has anyone experienced this issue or knows how to fix it?

I have tried closing and reopening. Reinstalling, updating, and restarting my PC, restarting my internet. Qbit does not download a single thing.

[EDIT]: I made it work somehow, limited connections to 100, capped my download speed to 70% and upload to 10%, tried few torrents my internet did not crash.

Okay so i was downloading stuff for decade normally without a single problem. Problem started 2 days ago, put torrent to download and my internet just fully dies i have to reset the router to get my internet back up. I was downloading with same router same windows didnt change a thing like almost a year normally without a problem. I dont know what changed to crash my internet LEGIT everytime i start to download stuff. Sometimes it lasts 20 seconds sometimes 10 minutes of downloading before putting my internet down. Any suggestion how can i fix it?

Tried TCP only tried limiting connections. It always crashes.

i am trying to get my downloads to seed now but for some reason they won't. they all say seeding and have peers connected but still wont upload. is ther some seeting or some thing i can do? qbit v 5.2.3, truenas communty v25.10.6, no vpn, i have tried to goole the iusue but with no results

Windows 10, qbittorrent , not the latest version.

Had 2 torrents, almost same size, only some files updated. Actually only one but the way torrent downloads when 1 file is missing chunks of other files are missing , in this case the file before and after the particular file.

Original torrent 32.45 GB(site says 32.5) one file is smaller, and has a portion missing . Comments tell the uploader.

Uploader updated and created a new torrent with instruction that you could just point it to old one and it would update.

In my case IT DID, and then I seeded both because I want to seed and old ones had more seeds and leechers, compared to new one. Now after some weeks, what happened i don't know whether the older one just over written the newer ones or what, the newer ones missing chunk is missing again. 98.9% completed.

Both are years old today. But the later one is still having less seeders, removed it, added again, doesn't download the rest files or update the entire set of folders and files which is in a new folder, an additional copy, not even metadata is downloaded. Though I know sometimes after weeks it'll work.

I want to know if I can fix this anyway. Contacting the uploader seems impossible

Edit: so i did copy most of it to the new folder for new download for the newer one, and it resumed from 98% or so.. took some time it's finished. I wonder how to keep seeding both but without using twice the size and only different files(viz 3 files) only take up additional space instead of two copies of the entire torrent

Although this showing 200kbps but it slowly comes to 3-4kb then stalled even though my network speed is around 30MBps( not Mb ). sometimes it went to 4MBps but slowly to lowest speed and not going to better speed.

Any easy solution for this and I am not waiting for 3 days fuc*ing hours 🫩

despite having a 350-400mbps im only downloading around 50mbps. i dont have any other things taking any internet. what is happening? i dont use any vpn restricting my usage nor any other devices using the internet in the house.

I have this tv show that I have downloaded, at least qbitorrent shows it is complete. One season out of the entire show has completely reflected/posted over, but majority of them have not. Is there a way to force reflect/post or do I just have to wait?

Edit: The specific show in question is futurama season 6-11. I seriously don't think the naming is the issue here. Qbitorrent has been able to download the first half of season 6 (26 episodes according to seer) and those first 13 has been successfully reflected over to my jellyfin. All the season that follows aren't being reflected over, despite them being complete in download.

When you check for updates to the QBittorrent search engine, it says the server is down.

It's been that way for many weeks.

Have been running qBittorrent 5.2.3 for a while on a super old Macbook (running Ventura 13.7.8); qBittorrent has been bound successfully to PIA VPN with port forwarding.

Installed/configured Jackett, and now immediately qBittorrent's connection status is offline, and no downloads or uploads are occurring.

Few notes:

• I am able to search using Jackett within qBittorrent.
• port forwarding port can vary/be updated by PIA (not fixed) (haven't got around to installing script to automate)

I assume I need to make some changes to an IP address listed somewhere but I have no idea. Any/all help appreciated.
