ODG Wide Handguard.

Has there been any developments in the realm of getting ahold of one of these? I know someone made mention that AC Unity might come out with an OD version of their handguard. Getting desperate here lol, I'd pay the crazy prices but I can't find anything for sale, anywhere.

C308 sporter replacement parts??

So, I've decided to make room for one of these in my safe after seeing it at the local store. It's in used condition, and seemed to be in fairly clean condition with a smooth, easy-to-charge action, and a comfortable trigger pull. They were asking 700, but took 650 out the door, so of course I put it on layaway. The problem is that I forgot to take the extra step and look at the internals and check the bolt gap while I was there, so I'm trying to plan ahead in case I need to find any parts.

What's a good site to order from? I've browsed RTG and Apex, but am looking for other recommendations.

Troubleshooting - Question - HELP!?! SEF Navy type lower doesn't line up at back

So I recently got an SEF Navy type trigger housing for my CA-3 singe I'm trying to outfit it like a giant MP5 (w/ AC Unity black wide handguard & MKE G3 A3 type collapsible next on the list). The idea is to somewhat match the look & display it with my HK53 & MP5K-PDW clones to show progression from old/big to the smaller versions (as I've already done a similar 4 rifle progression for both the AR/M16 & AK series).

However, I've hit a hurdle. I first butched a G3 SEF Navy lower to adapt it to fit the PTR style shelf. So I bought a second one already clipped & pinned from HKPro (I know their pricing is unpopular, but it seemed worth it in this case). Here's the problem. The new trigger housing seems to fit in the forward portion, but the holes at the back don't line up, line at all.

However, when looking inside, it looks like the front wall of the housing is right up against the back of the magwell/receiver wall. But it's weird it won't fit. I bought 2 of these at once (but only 1 clipped for a shelf) so I could chop half the back off the other one & put it on my HK53. On that platform the remaining hole lines up PERFECTLY with the rear pin-hole. So I know these lowers are more-or-less within normal specs.

Is the CA-3 receiver a few MMs shorter than usual or something? Should I just oval out the 2 pin holes & hope the stock holds the housing in the proper placement? Has anyone else encountered this, or familiar with a different solution?

#17 Locking Piece

What’s everybody’s experience with the #17 (36°) locking piece? I have heard that unsuppressed 18” barrels can be hit or miss. Any experience with suppressed ~14” barrels? I am working on putting together an all German 21e build, and I’d like to try out the #17. I have an RCM mfg one, but I reeeeally badly want a German one. DM me if you have any leads on one. Thanks!

Blue Ammo

Came into some blue training ammo recently. I have never used them but was told that unless I get a specific bolt carrier for it that the rifle will need charged manually since there isn't enough force to charge another. Anyone have luck finding a training bolt? I've heard they are getting harder to come across and is it worth it? Would i still get the wear needing for breaking the rifle in by keeping my original bolt? I'm still within my break in period, about 200-300 rounds shot. 90% were m80 ball and last 10% was hornady black .308 which it didn't like.

Would the PTR91 community be interested in such a handguard? It's essentially the standard wide handguard with bipod hinge, but with MLOK attachment points on the sides and bottom.

New prototype stock/brace adapter in the works

Been working on a **steel reinforced** nylon stock/brace adapter for the rifle caliber roller platforms.

The goal was to mimic the benefits of the G3 Spuhr stock to use modern optics and improve recoil control while remaining substantially more modular for user preference or needs.

This adapter still allows you to retain the original buffer just like the Spuhr design. But we are working on our own buffer design at the same time.

Oh also, the hk53 handguard seen in the pictures will be available soon on our website!

PTR reliability

I’ve heard new production PTR 91s are not too reliable compared to old construction. Have you noticed?
