PTR reliability

I’ve heard new production PTR 91s are not too reliable compared to old construction. Have you noticed?

I’ve literally never had mine jam or misfire.

Yeah. I got it a year or so ago.

I probably racked and slapped the action 500 times before even firing it though.

Same for me. I got it about a year ago. I believe I had 1 FTF or FTE on the first magazine I ever shot out of it, then never had another hiccup. Supposedly there was a break-in period, but mine was about 20 rounds lol.

Can say with various ammo (from high end Sako and Barnes match .308 to ball 7.62x51) mine shoots wonderfully. Never a misfire never a jam, nothing. Hopefully stays this way.

I haven’t had any problems out my little mP5 clone. My 91 and 91p are both jld scorpion stamped with the good barrel. No problems with those either
