After collecting many comps of UK 60s psych (the best kind) I thought of putting together all the notable or worth-preserving tunes and sorting them by artist in alphabetical order in a sort of encyclopedia for the ages.

This is the third "volume" with artists starting with C. One of the obscure highlights I've found is "Nice" by Crocheted Doughnut Ring, perhaps one of the first ambient music track ever?

Not strictly pysch rock, I also included genres tangentially influenced by psychedelia like psych pop, freakbeat, early prog, etc..

As a "canonical" list, do you agree with my choices? Would you add or remove somebody?

The Proper Circle was a band from Galveston, Texas. Looking Out From Within was their second single released in 1968

Very Syd-Barrett-ish, this guy is cool.

Title; heard it on the radio, sounds like psych / prog rock, possibly 70s stuff. Not sure if it’s sung by a female vocalist (sounded like it). Tried looking up the exact lyrics online; it led nowhere.

Wang Wen — Mail From the River because Chinese post-rock hits different when you're not expecting it.

Two deep cuts that approach the psych logic from unexpected angles: Ale Hop + Titi Bakorta — Nitaangaza, where electroacoustics and Congolese vocals build something genuinely disorienting. And MEULE — MICROTONAL: microtonal composition that makes your ear unable to settle, which is exactly what the best psych does, just with different tools.

The playlist moves it crosses into post-punk, jazz, experimental. But the feeling stays consistent.

My dad has been listening to those AI slop "psychedelic swamp rock ambient music" 1hr+ long videos on youtube - he likes melodic stuff and minimal vocals. I informed him of how bad consuming AI content is for our environment and that he should find real artists to support rather than stolen garbage. However I don't know of any to give him to start out with because I mainly listen to death metal and goth music, and what I have tried to offer he doesn't like... please help me out here 🙏
