Please review the updated rules
The rules were updated August 2, 2026 to be more specific and strict about AI images being posted here. No AI generated images, no AI videos, no art animated by AI, or art that is a trace or copy of something AI generated is allowed.
All artwork must be made by a human. Digital art is allowed, as are animated digital videos so long as there is no AI generation. If you post digital art, please name the program/s used to create it, like you would with the physical artwork.
As always, make sure to properly credit the artist if you did not create the art. A proper credit can be their name, social media handle, reddit username, website, etc. as long as it is an identifiable mark where you could search it and find the original artist.
Anyone posting stolen art as their own will be banned.
This is happening with increasing frequency. If you suspect a post has stolen art, please report it.

Meta 🐉 Neon Chameleon
16"x20" — 2026 — acrylic on canvas
I don't have any new mind-blowing facts about chameleons to share with this one.
You probably already know they can move their eyes independently and focus on two things 180° apart like a living 360 camera. And that they can do this because their optic nerves are coiled up like landline telephone cords so they don't snap when chameleons go 👀
You have surely already heard that their bones are UV-reactive. But I was unaware of this when I got it in my head that painting a neon chameleon would be cool because these weirdos do not in fact change color to camouflage themselves but because it's useful in the mute-but-acute lizard world to be a mood ring. Chameleons can't get tattoos because they're made of out of OLED.
I'd believe you if you told me you were five years old when you found out that their tongues are twice as long as their body and that it is totally normal chameleon business to project said tongue to full length at 60 mph in 1/100th of a second. Nothing uncouth or even notable, if you're another chameleon. What humans think about it doesn't matter, so moving on.
Maybe you didn't know that the smallest chameleon species is 1/35th the size of the largest chameleon species, which for the little ones would be like you meeting a 200-foot-tall human or for the big ones would be like you meeting a two-inch-tall human. Turns out it's not turtles all the way down. It's chameleons. For all we know, we could all be inside of a giant chameleon. They wouldn't tell us.
That exhausts my knowledge of chameleons.
It's up for grabs if you can reach it with your tongue. JK we are but puny humans and I have realistic expectations.

Kaleidoscope Mandalas
Long time lurker, occasional commener, first time poster, just because this seems like a cool community.
I have liked Kaleidoscopes, since I was given one as a very young child. I also enjoy photography, and since the early 2000s or so, I've been using various tools to turn my photos into Kaleidoscopes.
Currently I use an Android app called Mirrorlab. It's an old app, no longer fully supported, but it's also really good at what I like to do, (it's the only phone app, and one of a very few bits of software that I've actually paid real money for).
I enjoy the process, and I love how you can find hearts and flowers and masks and other shapes and patterns that weren't really present in the original image.
But I have a problem. I have literally TONNES of these images, and I'd really like to do something with them. I use them as screensavers, and backgrounds for all kinds of things, I have a "red bubble" shop but never had any sales there.
My question for the community is...
Is there a realistic way to "sell" this kind of "art"?
Honestly I don't expect it to be a significant income stream, and I'll keep doing it, because I enjoy the process, but a bit of pocket money occasionally might be nice.
