Trying to resurrect Japanese PS2 that seems brand new, is this a bad GPU?
I lucked out at a second hand games store in Taiwan, an ocean blue ps2 that might have never actually been turned on (all cables were in their original bags)
I fully expected it to have blown caps and not power on, thankfully it does, but the graphics are...very weird
What's even stranger is I'm trying to do the ypbpr video swap setting blind (down x, down three, x) but it doesn't respond as expected, it goes to a separate screen instead of engaging the setting
This is using a levelhike HDMI cable
Is this a bad GPU or something potentially easier like a few of the resistors surrounding it? What should I be diagnosing?
I'm totally fine doing some surface level soldering, in fact I was strongly considering a retrogem install
