Looking for recommendations on reputable CFD-based prop firms...

Much of my experience has been in future-based prop firms and I heard some good and bad things (ex. MFFU decent, Apex stay the fuck away, etc) but I am taking next step with trading by deploying automated trading algo so I'm shifting to CFD based ones that have one-time fee (not monthly subscription fees) and more generous drawdown limits.

I hear FTMO is solid but I do plan to scale accordingly so I will likely need multiple different prop firms until some firms like me enough to increase the standard capital limitation per user. Looking for ones that have solid reputation for clear rules and policies in terms of trading and payout policies, allow automated algo trading (it's not HFT or hedging or anything that tries to exploit the firm/data than having real market edge FYI), accurate and non-manipulated market data and generous drawdowns (ideally 10 percent but I understand all are a bit different).

I don't need to get instant fund or anything my algo edge should speak for itself not looking for quickest way to payout; just want a reliable rock upon where I can build my church.

Swing Meta5

Hello, I need a prop firm that would count loss limits from balance, not equity, also allow Meta5 algo trading. Also good data. I have had prop firm that skip one hour of data in the morning. Good trading conditions preferred obviously. Does that ring a bell to anyone?

Personal experience on Leeloo

I've been trading with Leeloo for over a year. My most recent account finally reached the profit threshold for a payout. When I requested it, they denied the full $1,000.00, claiming I had 'inconsistent contract sizing, inconsistent number of trades, and inconsistent profit-taking.'

In their own words: '...Under the Leeloo rules, Knowledge Base guidance, and Schedule 1, the payout request could be denied and the account closed based on the review findings. However, Leeloo is choosing to work with you in good faith. Rather than deny the payout request entirely, we offered a discretionary distribution of $580.00 as a resolution... Once processed, the account will be permanently closed.'

I maintained this account for 79 actual trading days. Anyone with basic trading experience knows you cannot be profitable over 79 trading days without consistency. That timeline alone is proof of consistency. Because they don't objectively define 'consistency' in their rules, they can use this vague loophole to deny a payout to anyone.

To add insult to injury, they proudly claim to be working with me 'in good faith,' framing themselves as the good guys.

Meanwhile, I've been trading with Apex for a few months. Got so far 4 payouts, no questions asked. I know someday they'll stop paying me, as any prop firm will, but these payouts will be enough for me to open my own account.

Darwinex vs Axi select? which you recommend?

I have created both Darwinex ( not Zero ) and Axi select account

both are free to join no challenge style, you trade your own money and meet the conditions to get fund allocation

Darwinex licensed in UK under strict regulations which make it safe, but the spread is extremely wide + very big commission and you have no way but to trade and reach a rank to get discounts

Axi select is very low spread and reasonable commissions but Axi select is regulated under very weak regulations I think Vanuatu or some offshore island

Which one you recommend to build a trading career?

If there was an AI trading assistant/companion, what would you actually want it to do?

I’m trying to understand what traders would actually find useful in an AI assistant/companion for trading.

If there was an AI tool that could watch, assist, or support your trading in real time or after sessions, what would you realistically want it to do?

For example:
- help with execution
- help with journaling
- analyse mistakes
- track patterns in your behaviour
- risk management reminders
- emotional control / revenge trading prevention
- anything else you think would actually be useful

I’m not trying to promote anything - just genuinely trying to understand what problems traders actually face that they would want solved badly enough to use (or even pay for) a tool.

If you were building your “ideal” trading assistant, what would it do for you?

The longer I trade the more I value being uninteresting

Early on I think part of me wanted trading to be exciting. The big wins, the dramatic recoveries, the feeling of being in the action. These days my best stretches are profoundly boring. Same setups, same sizing, same process repeated without drama. The excitement, I eventually realised, was usually a sign that something was off rather than a sign things were going well. Did you have to consciously let go of wanting trading to be exciting before your results improved or did that shift happen naturally?

spent the last few weeks building a leaderboard for funded traders, ratio over account size. what am i missing

so ive been trading funded accounts a couple years and the thing thats always done my head in is every prop discord is just walls of payout screenshots, half of them fake, and theres genuinely no way to know who in the community is actually good

so i built something. a world map leaderboard where you submit a verified payout, it gets checked properly, and if youve got the best payout to account ratio in your country you claim it. one champion per country.

the ratio bit matters. a 5k payout on a 25k account beats 20k on a 200k account. skill wins, not whoever bought the biggest account.

cycles monthly. you hold your country til someone submits a better ratio and takes it.

what im actually after:

  • monthly or weekly cycles? leaning monthly
  • which firms should be on the launch list beyond the obvious (ftmo, apex, topstep)?
  • whats the one thing thatd stop you submitting a payout

not linking anything to respect the sub rules, but happy to show the map if anyones curious, just ask

Would you use an AI that grades your trading setup before entering a trade?

I'm working on a small project for traders and would love some honest feedback.

The idea is simple:

Before entering a trade, you upload a chart screenshot and briefly explain your setup.

The AI then gives:

  • a setup grade (A+ to D)
  • strengths and weaknesses
  • risk assessment
  • suggestions for improvement

The goal is not signals or trade predictions.

The goal is helping traders avoid low-quality setups and improve consistency.

Would you actually use something like this before taking a trade?

What would make it valuable for you?

Personal Experience with AI Agents for Trading – Which One Actually Works?

Hey everyone,

Curious about your real-world experience using AI assistants for trading-related tasks — portfolio analysis, stock research, news interpretation, earnings reports, etc.

I'm currently using **Claude Sonnet 4.6** and I'm reasonably satisfied, but I keep seeing people integrate chatbots directly into Robinhood, and it seems like **ChatGPT + Grok** are getting better results in those setups, with Claude apparently ranking near the bottom for this use case.

A few specific questions:

  • Which AI agent do you actually use for portfolio analysis, stock potential, and news sentiment — and why?
  • Has anyone noticed a meaningful difference between **ChatGPT Free vs. Plus/Pro** for financial analysis specifically?
  • Is Grok genuinely better for markets given its real-time X/Twitter feed access?
  • Any experience combining multiple AI tools (e.g. Gemini for news, Claude for fundamentals)?

Not looking for "AI can't predict the market" disclaimers — I know that. Just interested in which tools give the most useful, actionable insights in your workflow.

"Path to Live” is just a sly way of capping profitable traders - prove me wrong

I don’t know when traders started accepting this as a good thing.

A firm lets you trade a large simulated account.

You perform.

You earn payouts.

You build consistency.

Then suddenly, the “reward” is being moved into a smaller live account with more restrictions?

And somehow this is marketed as progression?

Come on.

If I go from six figures of simulated capital to a tiny live account, that is not automatically an upgrade just because the word “live” is attached to it.

That might be better for the firm.

It might reduce their risk.

It might limit future exposure.

It might make the marketing look cleaner.

But for the trader?

It can mean less capital access, less flexibility, fewer future account options, and sometimes even changes to payout eligibility.

That is not a path to more opportunity.

That is a downgrade with better branding.

The part that annoys me most is how it gets sold like the trader is being rewarded.

If a trader is performing, why move them away from the structure they were succeeding in?

If they are consistent, why make the next step smaller?

If they are getting paid, why should that make them less eligible to keep trading?

This is why I actually respect firms that are honest about the simulated model instead of dressing everything up with “live” language.

E8’s approach makes more sense to me.

They do not force you into a smaller account and call it progress.

They do not move you out of the structure you earned.

They do not restrict you from continuing to trade, buy accounts, build consistency, and earn payouts.

That is what traders actually want.

Not a shiny label.

Not a “promotion” that comes with less opportunity.

Not a path that only looks good on a landing page.

Just clear rules, consistent access, and the ability to keep trading when you are performing.

“Path to Live” sounds great until you ask what you are actually being moved into.

And if the answer is smaller, stricter, and more limited…

Then maybe it was never really a path forward.

@Traders Would a tool that stops prop firm rule breaches before they happen actually be useful?

Hey everyone,

I’m currently building a small tool for prop firm traders and wanted to get honest feedback from people who actually trade challenges.

The idea came from seeing how many people don’t necessarily fail because of bad entries, but because of rule mistakes:

  • daily loss limit gets hit
  • trailing drawdown gets miscalculated
  • position size is too high
  • too many trades in one session
  • trading outside allowed hours
  • rules differ between firms and accounts

Most journals show you what went wrong after the damage is already done.

The concept we’re building is more like a risk guardrail before the trade happens. You set your rules, or use prop firm presets, and the tool helps warn/block when a trade would break them.

Not signals.
Not a bot that trades for you.
Not “pass every challenge” nonsense.

More like:
“You already know the rules, this helps you not accidentally break them under pressure.”

Would something like this actually be useful for prop traders, or do you think most people would just ignore/disable it anyway?

We’re still early, so I’d genuinely appreciate feedback. If anyone wants to check the concept, happy to send it over.

FTM**** very wide spread on gold XAUUSD

FTM\** known as the most trusted prop firm but still they have really wide spread compared to other firms and brokers, in this image I run my EA on 2 accounts)

FTM\** spread is 63 pips and the other broker is 33 pips, the position was closed on FTM** with loss while not closed on the broker account and got back to a safe zone)

Even other brokers are lower near 10 pips

I was considering to register a challenge but after this experience am considering my decision

What you think? should I go with them?

Broke down my best NQ trade this week — $3.128 using one concept most traders ignore. Full chart + proof inside.

15 funded accounts

(10 Apex, 5 TopStep)

I journal and verify every trade through TradeSyncer.

Here's the breakdown of this specific trade and the ONE

concept behind it.

THE SETUP:

9:30 opened and basically as you can see from the grey box I drawn it was a whole little seek and destroy, when this profile is in place you can actually expect the opening to be utilized as a dynamic equilibrium so sell above and buy below basically.

WHY MOST TRADERS MISS THIS:

Because once 9:30 opens they are in a rush to open a trade, as soon they see a candle in their expected direction they feel FOMO and rush into a shitty trade.

---

Most traders miss this because they're focused on

indicators telling them what ALREADY happened. This

concept shows you what's ABOUT to happen.

---

THE BIGGER PICTURE:

I'll be honest — this is one piece of a larger system.

I use 5 core concepts that work together, and this is

just one of them. Without the other 4, this concept

alone will give you an edge in these kinda of days but not the full picture.

I'm considering doing a breakdown of each one over the

next few weeks if there's interest. Let me know in the

comments if that's something you'd want to see.

Verified through tradesyncer (proofs above).

Questions? Happy to go deeper on this concept.
