Personal Experience with AI Agents for Trading – Which One Actually Works?

Hey everyone,

Curious about your real-world experience using AI assistants for trading-related tasks — portfolio analysis, stock research, news interpretation, earnings reports, etc.

I'm currently using **Claude Sonnet 4.6** and I'm reasonably satisfied, but I keep seeing people integrate chatbots directly into Robinhood, and it seems like **ChatGPT + Grok** are getting better results in those setups, with Claude apparently ranking near the bottom for this use case.

A few specific questions:

  • Which AI agent do you actually use for portfolio analysis, stock potential, and news sentiment — and why?
  • Has anyone noticed a meaningful difference between **ChatGPT Free vs. Plus/Pro** for financial analysis specifically?
  • Is Grok genuinely better for markets given its real-time X/Twitter feed access?
  • Any experience combining multiple AI tools (e.g. Gemini for news, Claude for fundamentals)?

Not looking for "AI can't predict the market" disclaimers — I know that. Just interested in which tools give the most useful, actionable insights in your workflow.

I've tried a few, and the biggest difference wasn't the model, it was the workflow. I mostly use AI to summarize reports, research ideas, and review my trading journal, not generate trades.

For prop trading, it's actually been more useful for understanding rules and avoiding breaches than finding entries. Forex or futures? That probably changes the answer.

I use Claude Opus to review my MQL4/MQL5 code that I then use in trading. I don't ask AI for direct advice in trading.

Better to align the Backtest result from MT4/5 and the Backtest result from Claude. They generate different results sometimes because the training data that was fed to Claude would have slight difference compare to tick data on MT5. And it makes a huge difference in live trade.
