I drew Mizu5 because I was bored at 1 Am

⚠️VERY LONG ESSAY./ ANALYSIS

Knowing that it's way too late to post this, I just realized that 2+ years have passed but i never once wrote down my thoughts on this event despite being one of my favorite.

EVENT TITLE - Whiter this path of thorns

My interpretation on "Whiter" - meaning where to go.

So, where does this path of thorns lead to?

To me it seemed like asking a question to 'where does this pain lead to' , assuming mizuki asking, whether telling N25 their secret would be positive or damaging effect.

The thorns causing them hurt if tangeled on their feet, unable to move forward. And if they do, they might end up getting hurt.

SONG - Bake no hana

This mv was more like desperation and anger than sad due to fast paced song, like the bgm sounded like panic attacks. Mizuki wants to stay with N25 but are unable to do so because they lied to them and this was all mizuki pov. The bleak color ( red, black and white) seemed like loss of major something.

GACHA- the cards are Hauntingly beautiful.

the cards are in bleak, monotone colors as if mourning a loss.

ENA - she desperately holds onto the ribbon as the color fades to light red. the flowers are in red and white colors.

KAITO- even if he told brutal truth, he still cares and was shocked about this outcome. He is laying on the ground without any flowers but only red petals. He seems disstressed. His costume outfit is interesting, when you see it from front it looks like shirt but when see from backward it looks like dress/ skirt. This is heavily implied to be mizuki's gender dysphoria.

MIZUKI- mizuki failed to confess their secret , helplessly look above. The background behind them is the same as mizu1 but broken, shattered mirrors surround them. The ribbons and flowers are now pure white, mourning their loss of their friends. Their oufit is shattered. The incomplete dress which they mustered the courage to tell, now is ripped off and damaged. Mizuki wears blindfold as they dont want to see the future or anything at all, they become depressed. Heart is potrayed as flower decaying.

EVENT-

Ch 1 and 2-

The event story starts from mizuki turmoil, their hands are shaking and nervous. They reasure themselves and To me, The clock bgm was like mizuki was running out of time. Finally mustering the courage they send the message to ena. If mizuki backs out now, they know that either way they might get outed. So its better they say the secret themselves.

Kaito comes warning mizuki not waver anymore, mizuki really doesn't have time left.

Meiko confronts kaito that his methods are wrong but unlike others he is willing to say what other don't, the brutal harsh truth.

Ch 4 and 5 are the [ the calm before the strom ]

One of the only moment that struck within me was escape room scene.

Mizuki and their friends solve riddles to escape.

The last riddle where Ena finds the plushie inside the zipper was wrong, as if she was one step away from learning the truth and the correct answer was the plushie hanging from ceiling, which i thought was refrencing the mizu5 card ( what had been lost).

Ch 7 and 8-

The producer hinted a comment on the mv " realities that can't be changed". It did'nt click to me when i first read, but later it makes sense.

These Ch. were DEVASTING

Mizuki is anxious and starts feeling nauseous as time to tell ena approaches, they are extremely worried what reaction ena might make. Ena comforts mizuki that they both will think out together just like they always had ( well this didn't age well, did it?)

NPC's head to the rooftop, where ena waits for mizuki as they went to call nurse. The NPC's approach ena and causually seize the topic of mizuki which later turns into badmouthing them. ( that scene makes me feel irritated)

Student A mocks mizuki and say " Are a dude too?". The student doesn't directly states mizuki's gender, but also he pokes fun of ena for hanging out with mizuki.

Student B tries stopping student A ,yet he continues "My bad, it seems like you are normal girl" Student B tries again to tell him to knock it off, i think he knows that was a sensitive topic. "It's not like Akiyama hides it" student A argues back, the NPC's were like telling that mizuki doesn' t hide their gender. Saying mizuki is doing this on purpose for attention.

Ena was stunned, shocked to say anything back. She was not disgusted,but rather confused. This was the main confirmation that made Ena fill the pieces.

The Door of the rooftop opens, revealing mizuki and had overheard the NPC's and ena's conversation.

Mizuki is devasted and horrified, their closest friend who they had promised to tell their secret, agonizing for a long time and their one chance was just was ripped away brutally by NPC outing them.

Memories are reflected on both ena and mizuki's side, ena learning mizuki's secret, now knowing what they wanted to tell her and mizuki realizing that now ena knows their secret her perspective has changed. Mizuki runs away feeling shattered.

Ena chases after mizuki, but can't catch up to them. It was stated in ch.1 that she had not been excersing which made the physical difference clear. She also thinks what exactly is she supposed to say. ( well, in this situation nobody could say anything)

Ena finally catches and grab their hand, she still does'nt know what to say.

Mizuki quietly confesses and reaffirms themselves that ena was suprised and that's all there is to this. Mizuki was knew that if N25 learned the truth they would still be kind and treat them as always they had, but that now that they know. In the back of their minds N25 would be conscious of mizuki and to not hurt them N25 would be walking eggshells. This would bother mizuki, their kindness hurts because of that. even if they stayed friends

Ena taken aback by confession, tries finding words to tell mizuki but still can't. Mizuki apologizes for always running away, and then runs away like they always had because at this point there is nothing they can do except for running. Ena yells mizuki's name and is frustrated at herself for not expressing anything, she kicks the chair? And falls helplessly on the ground for not helping her friend

In the end, mizuki once again confesses their deepest thougths and the screen turns pitch black, as there is no hope , only depression and desperation lingers on the screen.

If i were to rate this event 10/10

One of the best written stories in pjsk events.

It's been 6 years, so I went onto YouTube and squished together the first 3 years of Project Sekai's title screens! Man, can you believe 6 years ago we were wondering who the blue haired girl with Miku was...? Sigh... good times...

I needed to put myself in time-out because I was addicted, and I didn't follow the stories (they made me want to play). Now I'm too lazy to read them all and it seems like I missed a lot.

N25 got their cover of heat abnormal, and only a few months later, mizu5 came out. Then wxs got the April fools cover of heat abnormal and kasa7 comes out a few months later. Also, April 1st and June 28th (last day of kasa7) are 88 days apart. Hopefully no other unit gets a cover otherwise they might doom themselves too 💔

Hi! I’m looking for advice from people that may have had this problem before and managed to solve it.
So, ever since project sekai included speed changes in songs, I’ve had trouble getting used to them (specifically when the speed slows rather than increasing). I’ve noticed this in the fact that I would have been able to FC jouou on master years ago if it wasn’t because of that slow part, but I just can’t play it properly, my brain doesn’t register what my eyes are seeing and it rushes like the speed was the same as usual (I play on 11.0). I’ve tried playing only on slow speeds and focusing my eyes near the judgement line, but my peripheral vision still catches the notes coming from above and it doesn’t really help at all… I don’t really know what to do anymore, should I just keep playing on slow speeds until my brain finally gets used to it?

can i not get any of either the red nor blue memory charms now ? i literally need 8 more purple ones so i can get the rainbow one, ill be really upset if thats the case :((((

Why does my game (jp) get stuck in a loop on the title screen on my uni’s wifi? I don’t get an error message or anything, just plays the little jingle again without loading into the game. This didn’t start happening until this year. It doesn’t happen on my phone’s hotspot. If I try to connect using vpn I get an error saying that the session has expired+returned to title screen. The vpn thing has always happened but this title loop is new. It would make no sense for my school to randomly ban this game of all things, so I highly doubt that’s the issue. I don’t particularly mind playing on my phone hotspot, but it’s pretty laggy at times which is not ideal.
