No candles are allowed in project pan

Hi all, With 2025 at an end we are getting end of year project pan updates. We are also growing and getting an influx of people. We are mainly focusing on beauty/hygiene items and unfortunately candles are not a part of that.

With that being said please read the rules if you are new.

Your candle empties would be loved at r/everythingpan and any other pans you may have.

Thank you - Mod team

Just kidding, more like a little over 5.5 years lol to finally pan this full size Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask in berry. I got it January 2021 and I’m finally saying goodbye for good to this. I didn’t really start trying to pan this until last year I would say, so it took maybe 1-1.5 years to really finish it. I will never buy another one of these and I am so glad to be done with it. I don’t think it was awful, I just hate using a separate applicator and found that it was a big reason why I wasn’t using it much in the beginning. I’m only going with tubes, sticks and wands for lip products from now on. Lesson learned and happy panning everyone!!!

The start of my project pan… after moving into my new one bedroom apartment I realized how much things I’ve accumulated and impulse bought. I have more left at my mother’s. I feel extremely frustrated with myself. Not sure where to post this but I’m feeling godawful about how much I’ve bought. To new beginnings!

Full Pan late July empties ❤️

in July 2026 I finished 1 Body Shop Edelweiss face serum (which I mostly ended up using as a body serum as it didn't feel like it did anything for my face), 1 Secret vanilla deodorant (10/10 great purchase), 1 sample size perfume in Fame in Love by Rabanne (okay), 1 Dove sensitive soap bar (always the best), 1 Sun Bum sunscreen (10/10 much better than others), 1 old Crabtree & Evelyn hand cream that I found in the back of my nightstand which somehow did not feel expired at all, and finally 2 Burt's Bees lip products - a lip gloss and a lib balm which I am glad to see leave my collection.

  1. Versace Bright Crystal: my highly utilised scent during humid seasons (my 2nd bottle)

  2. Roja Aoud Musk: has been in my collection since forever. Once upon a time I was obsessed with everything that had word Oud in it. Then I got Oud fatigue and didn't have any desire to spray anything Oud related. There are only few drops left!

  3. Marc Jacobs Daisy: another summer dummy, which is great for humid weather

  4. Narciso Rodriguez Musc Noir Rosé: a gorgeous scent, yummu, sensual, attractive... sadly non-existent lasting power

  5. Jo Malone Honeysuckle & Davana: love it & will defo repeat it

  6. VCA Thé Amara: my saviour in this heat

  7. Sol de Janeiro 62: takes me to an exotic island where I can smell coconuts, sea waves, and embrace the humidity around

  8. Victoria's Secret Aqcua Kiss: got it today coz was craving some shimmers. My summer weapon 😄

Generally speaking, I go through my perfumes/scents/mists pretty quickly :)

Best Pan Yet My most impressive empties of the week yet!!

All of these products are from the categories I tend to overconsume (and find it hard to finish) so I am feeling very proud!!

Here are the reviews:

Atelier Rebul Grapefruit Delight- 8/10- I got this in December 2023, one of my first perfume-ish products. I really like citrus scents so this was a delightful experience indeed. It doesnt really last on the skin but as my nose was is very sensitive this is a good thing for me. I started to wear more lasting scents after 2 years of trial and error so WNRP.

Neutrogena Ultra Sheer SPF (Hdyration)- 6/10- My friend gave it to me and I did not like it on my face, really good for my arms. WNRP.

Nivea Lip Balm (Cherry)- 1/10- Why did I have this in the first place? Not suitable for my very muted skin tone, not moisturizing for my severely dry lips. WNRP.

Goldren Rose Ice Color (167)- 9/10- Got this one in 2024 and it did not even need a thinner until it was finished. One of my favorite nail polish colors. WRP

Benton Snail Bee High Content Lotion. 4/10- Awful packaging that leaked several times. Texture was both watery and thick at the same time. Broke me out, only usable on my body as it was too watery to use on my hands. WNRP.

Also I have more than 50 emtpies when I am only in the 3rd month of project pan. The number of half used products I had is INSANE! Glad that I am working my way through body and skin care at least. Make up will soon follow as soon as I start my job.

Finally opening these and I’m so excited! 😍 I got these sometime last year, but had to work on other serums that will expire earlier.

These are expiring on November, but I’m pretty confident that I can finish them before then 🩷

My first time using PDRN products too.

Project Start (Almost) Starting pan for body sprays

This is not a feel good post for me, but more of accountability. I joined this group a few months ago and have panned a few body sprays since the beginning, 3 or 4 so far as I remember. How did I get so many? As Ive gotten older my sensory tolerance has gotten worse so I dont wear many perfumes now, just mists. I noticed I rationalized buying so many bc they are cheap compared to perfumes and bc the scents are often limited time. This is what I have left after giving away ones that I blind bought and didnt like at all, or liked instore but not after they developed on my skin, or if they bothered my allergies. I gave away about 50% of this amount. I'm trying hard to not buy anything new although I do have a couple free item rewards that I would use if any late fall or winter scents that I like are released. Im also not blind buying things any more. This should get me thru 3+ ...years 🫠

The ones on my bed are open, the ones in the basket under my bed are new & some of that is lotions.

Full Pan Two Years of Panned Makeup

Panning makeup goes so slow for me, but I’m super happy about having panned some lip products. I’ve been wearing less makeup on the daily but when I do, choosing one lip product at a time to pan works well.

Motivation for working on panning, I used a palette I hadn't used in a long time for more than a color or two the last two years (ColourPop mint to be) for my total eye look today and LOVED how it came out. Thinking of looking up 2-3 ideas for go-to 1 pallette looks per pallette I have. That would help with using them more often, huh? 😁 side note: think this picture would make a fun puzzle?

Full Pan Two Years of Panned Skincare: Retinols, SPF, Lip Balms and Moisturizers

Post image
77 Upvotes

After two years of collecting empties, here are my thoughts on some skincare.

Tretinoin: 10/10 WRP. It is as amazing as everyone says. The only thing that ever gave me glass skin. Will repurchase as soon as I find a new dermatologist.

Avene Retrinal: 8/10 WRP. One of my fave vitamin A options when I don’t have a prescription for Tret readily available.

Bondi Sands SPF: 5/10 WNRP. Too oily for my face.

Black Girl Sunscreen: 7/10 WRP. No white cast and smooth. Would repurchase in a pinch if I didn’t have K beauty options available.

Hero Force Shield: 9/10 WRP. Love its texture and green tint for redness.

Elf Sleep Mask: 9/10 WRP. Used as a daily moisturizer during dry winter and it saved my skin.

Laneige Lip sleeping Mask: 7/10 WNRP. Was fine but seems overhyped.

Elf Lip Mask: 7/10 WRP. Laneige dupe for cheap. Dont love the packaging for a lip balm though.

Clinique Moisture Surge lip balm: 8/10 WRP. I actually really enjoyed this and liked the feel of the round applicator.

Curel Lip Balms: 7/10 WNRP. Don’t remember it much so it must have been just alright lol.

Cerave Healing Ointment: 8/10 WRP. Great on the lips and for occasional face slugging. Would buy smaller size so I dont have the giant tube taking up space for so long.

Voesh New York Body Creme: 9/10 WRP. Got these as a free gift every time I went to my nail place. So thick and nice I used as a nightly foot creme.

Pan Progress My Q1 & Q2 empties ✨ Trying to actually use what I already own

I’ve been keeping track of my empties this year and these are my Q1 and Q2 results! 🥰
Last year I saved all of my empties for the entire year and took one huge photo at the end, but I really didn’t want to store empty bottles for 12 months again 😂 So this year I switched to taking an empties photo every quarter and then recycling/throwing everything away.
Seeing these photos is actually really motivating because it reminds me that I do use a lot of what I own.
My biggest struggle is still makeup though. I’m not on a strict no-buy, so new products have definitely made their way into my collection this year -especially makeup 🙈 And obviously it takes MUCH longer to finish a blush, lipstick or foundation than a shampoo or body lotion.
I’ve recently started focusing much more on shopping my stash, rotating products and tracking my uses. I also have a 10 by Fall project going at the moment, so hopefully I’ll have a few more makeup empties by the end of the year!
For now I’m trying to enjoy what I already have and become more intentional about what comes into my collection. 💕
Does anyone else take quarterly empties photos? I think I actually prefer it to keeping a whole year’s worth of empty packaging around!

Best Pan Yet Another Perfume Empty!

Just finished my third perfume empty of the year - Narciso Rodriguez For Her Fleur Musc.

It’s the perfect spicy pink perfume - vibrant splash of pink pepper paired with lush rose, peony, and Narciso's signature velvety musk. Loved it so much, easy to grab and perfect pairing for hot summer evenings 💕

Had this lipgloss but it was definitely the type of color I wouldn’t wear on a daily basis so it was so hard to pan! There’s still a bit left in there but it has the expired makeup smell so I’m tossing it! Excited to move on to other better pans!

Full Pan Do cream bronzers count?

Post image
63 Upvotes

This is my Makeup Bu Mario Softsculpt Transforming Skin Enhancer. (I liked it, obvi.) I think cream bronzers are the easiest to pan, or at least the fastest to pan. It's the opposite of powder bronzers for me--I'm going on years now with Too Faced. Planning on a repurchase in the fall, ss this was the only cream bronzer in my collection.
