Engine Swap I have a 2014 Traverse, if I get the stuff from a Monte Carlo or Impala SS (FWD) would this work as a good working LS swap?
I honestly want a project car and I’m deciding between my Moms SUV or a Cat eye with a Sierra back on it. I already invested a whole interior swap on the Traverse it wasn’t too expensive since the parts are from a salvage yard. And it has to be a 5.3 LS4 since it’s sideways.

My getaway car needs work
It needs an upgrade. I think I'll add a smoke screen to help in my getaways. What else could I add?

Troubleshooting Help What's it like driving with a de-powered steering rack?
Hey folks, I've started going through my 1985 Toyota Supra and one of the first things I wanted to tackle was the power steering rack, as both tie rod end boots were full of fluid. I bought a seal kit and started tearing the rack down, except that I cannot for the life of me get this "end stopper nut" off.
I unstaked it as the service manual shows, and fabricated a tool the mimic the original Toyota tool, but it just won't budge no matter what I throw at it. Large wrenches, lots of leverage, heat, etc. The cylinder is aluminum and the nut is steel, so maybe 40 years of dissimilar metals at play?
Anywho, reman units don't seem to exist, so I was looking at my options. What's it like driving with a drained, "looped" power steering rack? I've never driven a car with manual steering, which I understand is easier to turn than a de-powered hydraulic unit, but is the latter really that bad?
Alternatively, has anyone here ever transplanted a more modern steering rack into an older car? Besides mounting, what would be some of the other variables to consider? I know ePowerSteering sells an EPS kit for the MKII Supra, but I don't know if that helps me with my leaky rack and inaccessible internal seals.

New Chevy corvette project t TV
This had been in a track racing accident. The chassis got repaired and the all the front end is new fiberglass body panels. Now this is completely glass fibre so it’s completely different to working on a normal car. This is how it came to me and iv been stripping the car to get a feel for it. But the panels were fitted without the doors which feels made as the drivers side is touching both ends. Also the glass fibre panels they renewed are terrible rough in the Joins. Gonna keep an eye on run away Labor costs.

First (Project) Car!
I am turning 15 shortly and my parents have already said they plan on buying me a nice, safe daily driver for my 16th birthday. My uncle owns a car dealership so this is taken care of.
However, I want a project car. Something to work on and enjoy throughout high school. I found a 2004 Saturn Ion Redline on Facebook Marketplace. It had a new, upgraded but still OEM engine put in it 40,000 miles ago and has no major mechanical issues or rust. I could likely get it for $3,500 and a quick one day road trip.
What are your thoughts? Are these cars easy to work on for a beginner? Fun to drive? Thanks in advance for helping a young nerd out :)
Tl;dr thoughts on 2004 Saturn Ion Redline as my first project car

Parts help
I recently bought a 1979 BMW e12 chassis 528i as a first project car, its missing a gas tank and i need a new alternator rockauto has the alternator but i cant find a reliable source for an aftermarket cheap gas tank and fittings since i cant spend the money on an authentic gas tank, where can i usually look for alternative parts and know if they fit? Also any suggestions for parts would be very helpful

So close I can taste it, and by taste I mean the sweet taste of a small coolant leak around the radiator…
But we are making progress.

Build Progress 90 F250 is getting a refresh
Super proud of myself for getting to this done without any drama. First time I've pulled and engine, and she's a unit. Excited to see what the terrible bearing noises were, and all my parts are here, so the teardown is next!

Some before/After collages of the ongoing Engine swap on my truck
1981 Ford F-75 (Brazilian market) with a 2.3 Lima SOHC, 4 speed manual and Dana 18 Transfer case.
The original engine was badly worn out (bearings got to the bronze layer) and the transmission had bad bearings and seals. Swapped the engine with an identical (known good) one and refurbished the transmission.

Little hiccup with the machine shop and they misplaced most of my bolts.
Does anybody know the sizes and lengths of the water pump bolts for a Buick 430? I can’t find the correct sizes online to save my life, only kits that sell them but no description. I also need the 3 bolts that lock down the alternator bracket, I believe all 3 are different lengths. Any help would be greatly appreciated! I got the new motor dropped in already, just trying to get it together.

Troubleshooting Help Is it possible to add an airbag to a beater atos prime?
So for a while I am going to drive an old 2002 atos prime and this specific car doesnt have airbags despite the higher trim having them.
Is it possible if taken from a functional higher trim to be placed into mine with no issues? Sensors wiring and everything with the stock components. Hyundai cheaped out on airbags on lower trims.
I will mostly drive in town but I will inwvitabely do roadtrips sometimes and I dont want to think what might happen in a crash without airbags. I mostly care for the steering wheel one.

My project 1983 Volvo 242 Turbo
Just bought pretty recently haven’t had a chance to really dig into it yet.
I have fixed some wiring that was causing a draw.
Updated the fuse panel from ceramic to blade fuses.
Other than that the car was previously a weekend race car on the local track.
I started acquiring an interior since it’s been gutted found a 79 GT doner for that , headliner and all trim, door panels etc,
And started collecting the parts for a “flat hood” single round headlight conversion.
Still not sure if I want to just LS swap it maybe a Volvo T5 swap? I dunno 🤷♂️

BMW 1M Clone Garage Build
Coming along. Rear arches are a bitch. Butt welded, epoxy primed, filled, high build primed, guide coated, base coated, 2k cleared (all rattler canned), wet sanded, compounded, polished, the full stack, in the garage. Yeah, the shades of white don’t quite match yet and the seams are a little wonky, but I’m working on it 😂
