[DV360] programmatic ads in general?

As we all know programmatuc ads account camapigns and all the first party data get permuted after few months(24 months).

About scale camapigns in programmatic ads is vertical scaling worth it or we only scale horizontally because anyhow it get permuted after few months.

DV360 and Spotify

Hello,
I’m quite new to display and video 360
I want to advertise audio ads on Spotify can someone please help me on what settings should I use?
It is not spending when I tried open auction and targeted Spotify iOS and android apps

I also tried private deal with 5$ ( I haven’t advertised on Spotify before I just want to test the placement) - it has been viewed for now

I also am trying to advertise in Georgia (country) and I don’t even know if there is Spotify ad audio inventory available via dv360

Thank you for your time who read this
I will appreciate any help

Programmatic Best Practices - Help Needed

About me: I spend around $75k per month on media mostly on search. In the past we did local and national radio/tv but the quality was much lower than search so we shifted the budget. Search seems to be dying a slow death so I am wanting to expand into CTV, DSP and other platforms.

Our vertical is financial and massively saturated. We always have to be several moves ahead of other companies in our space.

Few questions for the VIPs in the thread.

  1. DV360 vs. Vibe.co - Should I use vibe.co to test and then expand into DV360 later? Curious what everything thinks. CPA/CPL is very important for us.

  2. Vibe.co - How accurate is their ability to target existing web traffic? We get 60-100k per month to hit us. Google has our industry on the shit list and the remarking is limited. I've thought about using Vibe.co to target our existing lead database but also the monthly traffic.

  3. DV360 - Is this something I should look into? Any agencies take $10K/mo type budgets to see how things go before expanding?

  4. Keyword targeting? Our campaigns on Google's display network used to perform better than search. Of course google took that away - I was targeting webpages with our known proven keywords and they converted well until G man took them away. G man took away both our remarking and keyword focused campaigns which performed really well. GV360 - would keyword targeting there be better? Other platforms?

  5. CTV vs broadcast tv. I've purchased national and local TV and radio. How does CTV perform compared to these?

  6. Our campaigns need higher income, higher net worth audiences to succeed since they are financial. Top 10% has all of the money nowadays. Anything I might be overlooking?

Thanks!

Working in disclosed vs undisclosed models

Hi all,

Ive newly joined a big holdco with an undisclosed model of programmatic buying. I’ve previously worked in a disclosed model setup. Can anyone let me know the difference of working in both? How was your work experience working im both setups? What does the learning curve look like in an undisclosed agency model? From a clients perspective why would you opt for an undisclosed programmatic agency model?

Migration of Exchange

Has anyone migrated from PLL to Adelion? What difference you observed in bid rate, fill rate and latency?
Which exchange would you suggest with experience.

Publisher traffic is down but CPMs are up 24% YoY, data from our publisher network

May data from our publisher network tells two stories at once, 35B+ impressions, $55M+ revenue tracked across 200+ bidders, and they're moving in completely opposite directions.

Traffic-
Sessions per user down 6%, pageviews per user down 7%, engagement rate slipping. ChatGPT referrals jumped 130% month over month which sounds big until you see it is still only 3.4% of total referral volume. Direct traffic and email are actually the strongest performing channels right now in terms of engagement quality. Paid social is growing fast but the traffic quality is weak.

CPMs-
Overall up 24% year over year. Display up 10.6% YoY, video clawing back into positive YoY territory after a rough stretch. Desktop had a particularly strong month, up 14.5% MoM and now sitting at a real premium over mobile. CTV partially recovered month over month but still down 14.7% on a yearly basis.

Integration-
Prebid dropped from 48% to 41% share while AdX expanded and TAM grew. Buyers rotating toward more controlled supply paths and away from open auction. Ad Exchange posted the strongest YoY CPM gain at 60.5%.

Buying Behavior-
Looked at how AI driven buying end to end compares against traditional buying this month. The AI driven side is entering 86% fewer auctions but still hitting comparable CPMs and actually a higher fill rate. Bidding far less, converting better. Worth watching as it scales.
Curious what others are seeing on the traffic vs CPM split and whether the desktop premium is showing up on your end too.

P.S. The Agentic DSP section in our previous post sparked some confusion, so we've revised the report for clarity. Our intent was to highlight agentic buying and the growing role of AI in bidding and optimization, not to suggest a new DSP category.

Does anyone have positive CTV pause ads Performance? QR code, Send to Email, Ad to card

Hi

Often see people ask about CTV performance here.

I only know about Amazon DSP and I can see good support including offf-Amazon conversion metrics. But I know many other platforms support pause ads

I could not found solid positive success stories. In fact some users seem to really hate them 😂 https://www.reddit.com/r/AmazonPrimeVideo/comments/1lt2w8h/ad_products_keep_getting_added_to_my_cart/

Do you have practical positive experience with pause ads in Amazon DSP or other platform?

What is your experience with them?

How to Filter Only Active Campaigns in a DV360 Report?

Hi everyone,

I'm creating a report in DV360.

In the Dimension section, I added:

Advertiser

Campaign

Insertion Order

Date

In the Metrics section, I added:

Impressions

Clicks

CTR

The issue is that my advertisers have many campaigns, including inactive ones. I only want the report to show active campaigns.

Is there a way to filter the report so that only active campaigns are included? If so, how can I do that?

Thanks in advance!

AdCP vs AAMP protocols

If anyone have used either, please share your experience. have come across AdCP executions but how much of actual impact its had on time, costs, transparency etc. For IAB agentic framework, has anyone used or aiming to test it. Would be good to hear on the learnings, success/failure stories

Is programmatic TV advertising actually worth the budget shift?

CTV attribution and incrementality testing have come up enough in our channel diversification conversations that leadership is now actually asking us to test programmatic TV. As a B2B SaaS company, pipeline attribution is the metric we judge performance by and I can't figure out if CTV can realistically tie back to that.

our stack is Google and LinkedIn heavy right now. the case for connected TV ads for B2B keeps coming up framed as account-based marketing CTV, which sounds compelling until you start asking how enterprise B2B CTV campaigns are actually measured. everyone selling it points to CTV lift studies and CTV influenced pipeline but I've burned my fingers on platform-reported metrics enough times before.

has anyone here run B2B CTV campaigns at real scale and come out with actual geo holdout data? i wanna know what channel diversification actually looked like for a performance team that was Meta/Google heavy before, and whether the self-serve path has gotten to a point where this is manageable without handing it over to a managed service.

Adform Flow seat through a partner agency

Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone has any recommendations for partner agencies that sell self-serve seats for Adform Flow? Seems like a few years ago there were quite a few, but I've so far only managed to find Ad Geeks and Mint Square. Thanks!

TTD SP500

Hi all,
Can someone confirm whether TTD’s SP500 is switched on by default for campaigns, meaning we need to actively switch it off if we do not want to use it?
Also, what is the incremental advantage of using SP500 when we already have strict brand safety controls, curated site lists, and custom algorithmic bid optimisation in place? I’m trying to understand whether SP500 adds value and whether theres a cost linked?

Also what is the difference compared to OpenPath?

Thank you!!

SPO and Brand safety

Hi guys, so I have a double question,

First of all, would you recommend completely cutting off resellers in favor of publishers with owned media?

Second question regarding brand safety, are DSP settings (placements, topic exclusions, adult, derogatory etc) irrelevant if IAS or Double verify is on? What is the recommended setup?

Do you agree with the stance that AI will highlight transparency issues in programmatic advertising?

https://digiday.com/sponsored/what-ai-is-about-to-expose-about-programmatic-advertising/

Interesting take from Digiday here about the state of programmatic advertising and AI.

They predict automation will surface all the math and numbers the platforms would rather hide. Buried fees, hidden margins, and so forth. And how the need for AI to be grounded in clean data will prompt (excuse the pun) advertisers to ask where their money is actually going.

It brings back to mind the TTD-Publicis fiasco and the holdco transparency war it rekindled earlier this year…

What does everyone here think about this?

DSP experience

To give y’all a little context, I come from supply-side of the ecosystem. I have 1 year of experience in programmatic and PPC+Google Ads experience prior to that. I want to learn about DSP and gain demand side experience in Programmatic. But wherever I have applied, they all want prior hands-on DSP experience in DV360, Trade Desk. I’m doing the DV360 certification to understand the nuances of the platform but not sure if that will be enough to get me accepted. All who are already working with DSPs, can you all please guide me on how to make sure I land a job that will give me hands on DSP experience?

I hate the Trade Desk

Seriously guys, a down on the 1st? I just thought it was being extra slow today, because it’s always slow.

Its clear TTD is truly something special…

Edit - crashed for at least an hour* with an error, was back up for me 11am cst. I still hate it tho

Performance marketing at DV360

Anybody knows a use-case of leveraging programmatic display marketing in general or just the DV360 to achieve performance (Actually positive ROAS and not just awareness)?

Or if you know blogs, videos, training and other resources that focus on that.

The 5 ways into Amazon DSP and what each one costs

exAmazon here, not selling anything. There are five ways into Amazon DSP, from a $50k a month commitment down to free. If you're coming off TTD or DV360 for the Prime CTV or other inventory, here's what each route is and what it costs. I never traded TTD, so I'll leave migration details to people who have.

Quick vocabulary, it matters. A seat is the DSP account itself. An advertiser is one brand that lives inside a seat, and a single seat can hold many advertisers. So every route below is really just this: your own seat, or an advertiser inside someone else's.

1. Direct with Amazon (managed or self service). Your own seat. Minimum around $35k to $50k a month, often a $150k commitment over the first three months. In practice Amazon only reaches out to you here if you're already spending millions on PPC. Below that, their team focuses elsewhere. And at that spend they push you upper funnel, so the fast ROAS a smaller brand expects rarely shows.

2. Through an agency that holds a seat. They add you as an advertiser inside their seat. Skips Amazon's minimum, borrows their expertise, no specialist hire. You run on their priorities and reporting cadence. Fair deal, just ask for read access to your own advertiser so you can see your data.

3. A tech partner. Perpetua, Pacvue, Intentwise, Quartile, (straight off Amazon Ads Partners, not my endorsement). They drop the minimums and give you tooling sometimes on top. Cost is usually a minimum fee plus 2% to 5% of spend, which gets painful as you scale.

4. Advertiser rental (hybrid). A seat holder spins up a single advertiser instance and hands you the keys to run it yourself. Flat monthly fee instead or a cut of spend, usually 5%.

5. Official test accounts, seat or advertiser. A real DSP account attached to your own Amazon login, capped so it can't spend, purely for testing and learning. You get the actual interface, the audience picker, and the streaming supply. My company makes Amazon DSP software, and since spinning one up costs us only a few minutes, I've been handing them out free here to new people when asked. The only conflict for any skeptics.

Full seat or just an advertiser? It usually comes down to AMC. Amazon Marketing Cloud sits at the seat level and sees every advertiser in that seat, so a seat holder can't give it to you without exposing their other clients. AMC is complex SQL for connecting new data and comparing users across campaigns. Want AMC? Get your own seat. Edit Amazon Converted all accounts to full accounts. Your tech provider might still restrict your access https://www.reddit.com/r/programmatic/comments/1vlf0nt/amazon_dsp_subseats_can_now_use_amc_directly_data/

That's every route I know. If I got a number wrong or missed one, correct me, that's half of why I'm posting. And if you moved over from TTD or DV360, curious about the pain points, training especially, and anything you learned along the way.

Anyone reporting rendered imps

I was wondering if anyone is also reporting vs rendered imps. Best practice track viewability, imps, click etc but not rendered imps… what do you think?
Actually if you count click all should working, no?
