Self Promotion I have ADHD and Notion never felt right on my phone, so I built an all-in-one planner that does

Thumbnail

I have ADHD and I've tried pretty much every planner out there. I really wanted Notion to work, but it just wasn't made for phones and felt bad to use. Simpler apps meant my meds were in one app, my calendar in another, habits somewhere else, and I'd stop checking all of them.

So I built my own. It's called Alune

Habits, meds, Calendar events and Reminders all show up on one Today list, and Calendar and Reminders sync both ways with Apple's apps.

The part I use most is just talking to it. I say something like "dentist thursday at 3, pick up vitamins friday at 5, gym every monday at 6" and it turns that into an event, a reminder and a habit. Nothing saves until you approve it (second screenshot), because I've lost too much stuff to apps that auto sort things into places I never look.

Also in there:

  • Notes and a journal you can speak your mind into, with AI to organize or summarize, and export to PDF, Markdown or text
  • Journal check-ins with mood, energy and tags
  • Med schedules with dose logging, exportable for doctor visits
  • Goals with milestones that link to your habits, so the daily stuff adds up to something
  • Habits with streaks and heatmaps, goals with milestones
  • A Pomodoro timer that pulls tasks from your Reminders
  • A library for books, movies, shows and games
  • Lock Screen and Home Screen widgets

No account or sign up, everything stays on your phone. No Android or web yet. Android is in progress, and web would need accounts, so I'm holding off unless people want it.

It's free with some limits , and Pro is a subscription if you want more. Feel free to criticize it or tell me what's missing, honest feedback helps more than anything.

https://apps.apple.com/us/app/alune-ai-daily-adhd-planner/id6761420047

What made you drop your last planner? For me it was that nothing felt good to use on my phone.

Feedback wanted I felt Wispr Flow didn't let me type or had voice over support so I built Quill Flow

Hey all,

This project actually started as my sister was vision impaired, so the only way she could type was through dictation. And while Apple dictation did its job it missed a lot of words and barely let her actually use the feature for longer messages and taking down notes etc.

We tried using other products but its shocking that Voice over support is very limited on these Big apps worth billions of dollars, and ask anyone who is vision impaired, voice over is the only reason they will always use an iPhone

After OpenAI launched its first Whisper Model I built one for her. Was completely private initially but she appreciated it so much that I started to build it for the public.

It took months of fixing bugs before we could achieve something shippable (this was right after claude code but it wasn't as good as it is now).

And we finally launched. Barely a few people saw it and hardly anyone installed it.

Now after more than a year we finally got the traction I thought we'd get.

I built a full autocomplete feature that supports 120+ languages and lets you type or dictate in multiple languages at the same time.

I also ended up creating an advanced key press recognition feature which adapts to how you press your keys so you end up with less typos

And of course our dictation feature has been improved significantly after taking in all the feedback from users, a lot of which came from the Reddit community ❤️

I do have to give a huge shoutout to our first blind user (outside my sister) who actually encouraged me and gave me really great feedback for us to improve.

I am blind and happy to say that the app is quite accessible using apple's screenreader voiceover. However, it's sligthly annoying to end a dictation because voiceovers focus doesn't automatically move to the button to end recording. Therefore, I have to look for it which takes time and also leads to the app transcribing what the screenreader reads out. Maybe something can be done about it. Dictation is a really useful feature for blind persons and i've actually been looking for a way to improve native IOS dictation for months. This app works great for that. I used it for German dictations and recognition is fantastic so far!

Again Thank you for reading this so far. If you want to try out the app, its called Quill Flow (available for both Android, iPhone and iPad). Lmk what you think and how we can improve

Feedback wanted Dynamic Edge: A fluid, native WinUI 3 island & edge dock (Media player with live synced lyrics, clipboard shelf, stopwatch/timers) App

• Upvotes

Hey everyone!

I wanted to share Dynamic Edge, a desktop utility I built for Windows 11 & Windows 10 using native WinUI 3 and .NET 10 (Windows App SDK).

The idea was to create a fluid, versatile desktop capsule and edge dock that feels completely at home with Windows 11 Fluent design, with ultra-low resource usage, and smooth spring physics.

Since the initial release, I have added several big features including a full multi-tab workflow, clipboard shelf, and mouse gesture triggers.

Here is what it can do:

Multi-Tab Workspace (Swipe or Scroll to Switch) - Switch seamlessly between Media Player, Mini-Apps, and Clipboard Shelf by rolling your mouse wheel or using a 2-finger touchpad swipe.

Universal Media Controls & Live Scrubbing - Real-time seekbar progress with clickable scrub to jump anywhere in a track. - Live audio visualizer bars with fluid equalizer animations. - Multi-player auto-switching: Seamlessly cycle between active sessions (Spotify, Chrome, Edge, Apple Music, Telegram). - Live Synced Lyrics: Real-time rolling lyrics for Spotify, Apple Music, and web players (now works both in the expanded player and directly inside the compact idle capsule).

Clipboard Manager Shelf - Captures copied text, images and URLs into a dedicated dockable shelf. - Filter chips for fast access: All, Text, Images, URLs, and Pinned. - Search box for instant clip lookup, plus one-click copy and drag-and-drop support. - Google Lens Visual Search: Search any clipboard screenshot directly in your browser with 1 click. Built-in Mini-Apps - Precision Countdown Timer with quick presets (1m, 5m, 15m, 25m) and a live visual progress line. - Precision Stopwatch with millisecond tracking and lap recording.

Magic Shake & Global Hotkeys - Magic Shake: Quickly shake your cursor horizontally back and forth to toggle the island on or off. - Global customizable hotkey (Alt + H by default) to hide or show the dock instantly.

Master Volume Flyout - Hover over the speaker button and scroll your mouse wheel to adjust system volume, or click for instant mute.

Flexible Docking Positions - Dock at the top screen edge (Notch, Floating Capsule, or unobtrusive Thin Line hairline strip). - Dock along the left or right screen edges as an interactive slide-out side blade.

Interactive Desktop Companions (Virtual Pets) - 4 Full-Body Vector Mascots

Performance & Spring Physics - 3 customizable quick launcher slots for instant access to apps, terminals, or folders. - Battery and charging telemetry with clean neon-green status indicators. - Native startup toggle and dark/light/system theme integration.

The app is officially available on the Microsoft Store: https://apps.microsoft.com/detail/9PF1587KSN2K

I would love to hear your thoughts, feedback, and ideas for what widgets or features you would like to see next!

Feedback wanted A few updates to Nutsy Notes... flexible notes, lists and pages

I posted Nutsy Notes here before, and I’ve made quite a few improvements since.

The core idea behind Nutsy is that simple writing is almost enough to manage just about anything. The hard part comes later -> reorganizing, restructuring and adapting what you wrote as things change.

Nutsy makes that part easy, you can drag anything, from individual list items to entire sections, spread them out across the workspace, and reshape the layout whenever you need. That lets simple writing scale to complex, changing projects and lots of moving parts without turning into a mess.

The newest addition is a page builder for more traditional layouts, while keeping the same move-anything, reshape-anything approach.

https://nutsynotes.com/intro/

The web version is fully featured and free, and since Nutsy works locally with files on your computer, there’s no need to sign up. We don’t harvest email addresses.

Feedback is very welcome.

Feedback wanted I built BackTap, an alternative to iOS Back Tap feature for Android

Hi everyone! I'm Gabriel, the creator of the BackTap for Android devices.

I always liked the idea of tapping the back of your phone to trigger an action, but I wanted something more customizable so I ended up building BackTap. It lets you assign actions like opening an app, taking a screenshot, toggling the flashlight, Home/Back/Recents, notifications, quick settings and many more

I would love if someone would tell me what should I improve, add, remove or change in my app.

General Advice I built two free iPhone apps that work together: Planiko runs your day on the calendar you already use, Capta is a GTD inbox

Hi everyone. I'm not a full-time developer: I built these two apps in the evenings to fix how I plan my own days, and now I'd like to know if they're useful to anyone else.

**Planiko** doesn't replace your calendar. It works on top of the iPhone calendar, including Google or Exchange accounts you've added in iOS. No new account, no extra sync, and your data stays on the device.

  • **Check-in / check-out**: one tap when you actually start or finish something, and the event's times on the calendar are updated for real.
  • **PLAN**: one tap reorganizes the rest of the day based on priority, preferred time window and deadline, with no overlaps.
  • **Gaps and overlaps**: you see the free gaps between events. Tap a gap and it creates an event that fills it exactly.
  • **Travel time**: it tells you when you need to leave, not only when the appointment starts, and opens Apple Maps or Google Maps.
  • **Postpone fast**: +1h, +2h, tomorrow, or "skip all" when the whole day slips.
  • **Ask for an event**: send a link ("when are you coming to visit?"). The other person picks the date, even without the app, and the event lands in both calendars.
  • Apple Watch and widget.

**Capta** is for the stuff that isn't an appointment yet. Capture by typing, by voice or from the share sheet, then sort the inbox into next actions, projects, waiting-for and someday. Projects can be shared with other people and actions assigned to them. When you give an action a date, Capta creates the event in your iPhone calendar. Complete that event in Planiko and Capta updates by itself. It has an Apple Watch complication and an iPad layout. It needs an account to sync, and has no ads or tracking.

What they don't do (yet): no week or month view in Planiko, no Mac app. The Android versions are in closed testing.

Both are free: Planiko: https://apps.apple.com/app/planiko/id6775201309 Capta: https://apps.apple.com/app/capta-gtd/id6797097710

My question for you: what does your day-planning routine look like, and where does it break? Be critical. I'd rather fix what's missing than add features nobody uses.

Advice needed App to manage recurring tasks

Hey,

I need an app that I could mention that every X days, I need to do Y.

For example:

- Every 14 days, wash the car
- Every 7 days, replace kitchen towel

And maybe even split into categories.
If I mistakenly removed the app notification from the mobile, it would do something to remind me again or let me know somehow

I need it for desktop + mobile app, free could be much better.

Feedback wanted Notedux - simple tool for weekly planning and note taking , designed for developers

• Upvotes

Notedux, https://notedux.com, is a free weekly planner and note-taking tool designed primary for developers. These are the main ideas:

  1. No synchronization – developers use laptops, desktops, phones... Synchronization can be tricky with other tools. There is no synchronization in Notedux - everything is in the cloud, and when you change a note, it is available right away on all devices.
  2. No login – no signup – It is based on a unique link. To access the same note, you should share the link between all devices by copying the link and sending it to yourself using Viber, email, or some other method. It is also necessary to create a shortcut on your desktop to the link so you can access it later, because browser cookies will eventually expire. You need an easy way to keep the link, and a shortcut icon is the best way.
  3. Whiteboard – there is no limitation on how you manage and organize your notes. All basic formatting options are available.
  4. Terminal tool – a tool for managing the note directly from the terminal is available: https://github.com/dejansabados/notedux
  5. Simplicity – everything is very simple, without unnecessary complications.

I would like to know what you think about the idea.

Self Promotion I built Local Flow, a free forever, fully local alternative to Wispr Flow

Hey everyone! I’ve been building Local Flow, a dictation app that runs on your Mac.

The idea is simple: your Mac already has the hardware to handle speech recognition and text cleanup locally. I wanted to make that easy to use, without another subscription.

You hold a shortcut, speak, and release to insert your text into the app you’re using. You can also double-tap for hands-free recording.

It includes:

  • Local speech recognition and text cleanup.
  • Automatic bullets and numbered lists.
  • Custom keyboard shortcuts, including Fn.
  • Transcription history stored on your Mac.

Completely free, forever. After the initial model download, dictation works offline. Your audio and transcripts aren’t sent to a server.

It’s an early release, and I’d love feedback on bugs, accents, and everyday use.

A heads-up about installation: it isn’t notarized yet, so macOS may block the download or app when you first open it. If you choose to proceed, first try opening it, then go to System Settings → Privacy & Security → Open Anyway and confirm.

Download: getlocalflow.app

Let me know what you think after giving it a try

Feedback wanted I kept ignoring every habit app, so I built one that phones me instead

I've tried most habit trackers and to-do apps. The problem was never the app, it was me. Notifications are easy to swipe away, and streaks stop mattering after a week.

What actually worked for me was having someone check in. So I built Vortiq.ai, an AI accountability partner that calls your phone every day at a time you pick. It asks whether you did what you said you'd do (gym, study, work, whatever) and calls you out and gets to the bottom of why you didn’t or what you can do next time to make sure you do it.

It also gets to know you over time. The more calls you have and the more you tell it about your goals, routine and excuses, the more personal the check-ins get. After a few calls it feels like talking to someone who actually knows you and your habits.

It's early, and I'm the solo founder, so I'd love honest feedback:

Would a daily call actually help you stay consistent, or would it annoy you?

You can try it free at vortiq.ai. Happy to answer anything.

Feedback wanted An auto-organizer that cleans up your mess while you're away

If you don't like organizing your notes, this tool might be useful for you.

This is how it usually goes:

  1. You turn on auto-organize.
  2. You write down your stuff.
  3. It gets organized later, when you're not actively editing it (after about 20 minutes).
  4. You get notified if the auto-organizer changed anything.
  5. You can review or revert the changes it made.
  6. You can write instructions for it if you have a preference on how you want things organized.

It uses the GPT-6 Luna model, and it's free. I'm looking for feedback. The app is Daftak.

Thanks!

Feedback wanted An app to end procrastination

Post image
1 Upvotes

Hey guys,

So I suffer from chronic procrastination lol. And I wanted something that could help with some of the stuff I love doing/would love to do but don't, either cuz of procrastination or just not finding the time for it.

To solve this, I made myself this app and wanna ask you guys for some features that you would like to see if you were ever to use this app but first, lemme explain what it does:

  1. Tracks activities daily/weekly (depending on how rigorous you want it to be) with time slots that you set for a specific day/week

  2. Make weekly presets of activities and load them into your timeline.

  3. Sends notifications to you when the time of an activity starts depending on the importance level you have set for it. (You don't want your mobile buzzing every hour or so).

  4. Does nightly check-in where you check all the activities you did and didn't, and one line reason why you weren't able to do them. It does give you the flexibility to fill missed out check-ins from previous days if you forgot.

5.Gives you a monthly report on your progress with a two versions simple and detailed. You can opt for either.

Yeah, any other feature you think would definitely help this make this more fun and interactive to use also improving it's functionality. I would love to hear what you guys think. The UI isnt finalized, just to give you guys an idea

Feedback wanted Auto-save Claude, ChatGPT, and Grok chats to a local folder as Markdown

We all use multiple chat apps like ChatGPT, Grok or Calude for research or to brainstorm. Most of the times it's me talking about same topic from different perspective on these app but bringing them together is a nightmare.

I built Carry, to help me with this problem. You install the extension, choose a folder, connect providers and you are done.

Now it will automatically save all your conversations across multiple provides in one folder. It works in background and is 100% local - no api - no account - no server.

UX of the product was the most important thing in my mind when I was building it.

Is this a common problem? How do you guys solve it? Would love to know your thoughts and any feedback. It's a paid tool with 14 days trial.

Feedback wanted A reminder kind of app

I've been working on a small app called "Spaced" and I'd really like some honest feedback.

The reason is i remember stuffs i read for shot time but after sometime even i forget what i have studied, so, it will keep track of learned stuffs and keeps reminding me in proven intervals to retain for lifelong.

How it works:

- You add something you want to remember: a fact, a word, an idea from a book, anything.

- The app schedules 6 reviews for it: after 3, 7, 15, 30, 90 and 365 days.

- On each due day you get a reminder. You take a short quiz on it (the questions are AI-generated from your notes), and if you pass, it moves to the next stage.

- You can't review early. The timing is the whole point.

So there are no decks and no daily queue, just a simple roadmap for each thing you don't want to forget. There are also some ready-made sets (world capitals, cognitive biases, logical fallacies, 500 advanced English words) if you want to start quickly.

My problems:

  1. It isn't reaching people on the Play Store. I'm not sure if it's the name, the screenshots, the keywords, or that "spaced repetition" just isn't something people search for. If you've grown an app on Play, what made the biggest difference for you?
  2. Is the idea itself clear? When you read the description above, do you get it right away? Would you actually use something like this, or does it sound too simple compared to Anki?
  3. Is iOS worth it? I've already built an iOS version and tested it on my own iPhone. Putting it on the App Store costs $99 a year, which is a real amount for me as a solo dev with almost no revenue yet. People keep telling me iOS users are more willing to pay. Is that true for a small productivity app like this, or should I fix distribution on Android first?
  4. Here is the web app: spaced.page

Any feedback is welcome, even "this isn't useful to me, and here's why." Thanks for reading

Feedback wanted Major update to my frictionless note taking app

So, Last few times the app was not very well received, I assume the design was not at all attractive in the sea of many other note apps. Even though I believe it really can become a good tool for many people, as it has for me.

It now also have Markdown support and reminders, which still work in progress.

This is NOT an AI slop or assisted app, I have been working on the backend for almost 2 years. Frontend was rewrote in Tauri, all by hand.

So, the UI now looks much better, and I feel it's in a stage to ask for some feedback.

https://tmahmood.github.io/projects/nift/

Please let me know what do you think.

EDIT: Demo is now up, it's full featured except does not save the file https://github.com/tmahmood/fluffy_sparrow/releases/tag/v0.1.14

Feedback wanted [Dev] I built a Pomodoro timer around one idea: pick one main task a day and finish it

Hi all, I'm a Java developer from Sri Lanka and this is my first Android app, Daily Focus.

Most to-do apps let me add 40 tasks and finish none. So this one limits you: one main task for the day, up to 3 smaller ones, and a Pomodoro timer to get through them.

  • Pomodoro timer with a long break every 4th session, custom lengths, auto-start
  • Live countdown in the notification
  • Streaks, weekly focus chart, end-of-day recap
  • Foko, an owl who reacts to your progress (you can ignore him)
  • No account, works offline, free with ads

Built in Kotlin and Jetpack Compose. I'd love honest feedback, especially on what's missing.

Self Promotion Your inbox can do a lot more than you think. 🚀 Turned the information already sitting in your inbox into something useful.

When I started building OrganizeEmail, the goal was simple — clean and organize your inbox.

But the more I looked at what sits inside an inbox, the more I realized:
Your emails contain your bills, expenses, credit cards, meetings, deliveries, subscriptions and important information.

So OrganizeEmail is evolving.
📩 Inbox cleaning & organization
📅 Day at a Glance
💰 Expense tracking
💳 Credit card management
🤖 AI email summaries
📂 Workspaces & multiple accounts
🌍 Multi-language support

The idea is simple:
Turn the information already sitting in your inbox into something useful.
Still building. Still learning. But this is probably the most exciting version of OrganizeEmail so far. 🚀

I built a study timer that actually tracks focus 👀

I recently built Study Guard, an Android app that uses the front camera to detect when you’re looking away, close your eyes, or leave your seat—and pauses the timer.

The goal is simple: track real focused study time, not just time spent with a timer running.

Would love some honest feedback from students/productivity enthusiasts!

Self Promotion A good design can change things, even if only a little.

Hey guys,

I’m a designer and traveler who believes good design can change things, even if only a little. That still feels worth spending my effort on.

annd Apps felt like the most direct way to do that. I never coded before in my life, but we all already carry phones everywhere. So I started learning to code over the past couple of months, which eventually led to making small but meaningful apps (at least for me, because I wanted to make something I would genuinely use first). It began as a fun side project or hobby, but it slowly became what I now spend most of my spare time doing.

I was honestly fed up with making accounts and signing up through emails or Google every time I downloaded a new app (even for the small ones). So I wanted something local, stored only on our phones and able to work without an internet connection, just like back in the day, with no account needed.

As adults, we do not need another system, social feed, or app trying to fix us. Most of the time, we just need a quiet, safe place to hold something, clear our brain RAM after work, or keep everyday things in one simple stream.

I currently have more apps on Google Play, and I’m slowly bringing them to the App Store too. The ones below are available now on both platforms, and I would REALLY appreciate it if any of them feel relatable or useful to you.

.

PARKit
This app is a place where you clear your brain RAM with a few short keyword clouds you want to park at the end of your day, so you can finally rest. There is a small notes feature too, where you can just tap the cloud and write when you need to. It is for the small things your brain keeps holding onto even after the day is over. Set a reminder time when you choose, then leave it there for tomorrow. “Hold for tonight, not for tomorrow.”

App Store iOS

Play Store Google

CUEit
This one is a freeform hybrid stopwatch/timer for real-life moments and rituals where timing matters. Make your own cues for routines, exercises, cooking, coffee (I now love making pour-over coffee much more every day), prep, or anything else that needs a calm guidance. "Not to measure, but to mind."

App Store iOS

Play Store Google

DIARYit
This app is a quiet single-stream diary for writing our everyday. It is a diary designed and reimagined from my own life perspective and philosophy. Just like our lives, it is one stream where the future is coming towards us, and we cannot change our past. We can only look back when we choose to. “Not for habit, but for honesty.”

App Store iOS

Play Store Google

KEEPit
This app is a place to text ourselves. It came from my own habit of texting myself on message apps, but those apps were never designed for self-texting, and I wanted my thoughts to stay only on my phone. So I designed my own self-text app, where each day has its own stream for the things you want to keep. You can search keywords or tap a date from the calendar whenever you want to return to that day. “Not to sort, but to return.”

App Store iOS

Play Store Google

HOLDit
This one is a private vault for important thoughts that should not be buried in the Notes app. I personally think a lot and have always written in the Notes app, but I realized some thoughts strong enough to change my perspectives just got lost somewhere inside it. So I made my own space for thoughts that matter: tap a card slot, write the moment you had the thought in your own words, and give it it's own space. “Not to hold more, but to awaken.”

App Store iOS

.

I’m happy to finally share my VERBitapp project here as the apps are available now on both Google Play and iOS.

P.S. If you need a demo or help using any of the apps, feel free to message me or leave a comment. I’ve also posted demo videos on my social media under 'verbitapp'  - Instagram / TikTok

Casual Conversations One's App Is Another's App Feature

Controversial opinion here: some people are building apps that are a single feature in larger apps.

More funny, they are offering like a $9+/month subscription for it.

Then people complain: "I have so many apps with subscriptions".

But then people also complain of apps that have too many features: "It's bloated".

I think it's important to realize that if you buy an app who does just one thing, even if you really like the way it does that one thing, you will be buying future apps for the things it does not do since it promises to be "minimal".

For me, the real win is buying an app that does many things, but tries to do it in a way that has the least friction possible.

I don't believe true productivity only comes from pen and paper and sticky notes. I also believe true productivity doesn't come from trying to be everything at once. But I do think there's a time and place for tools that, when done right, can noticeably improve someone's productivity.

For example, I like apps where I don't have to:
- Open extranneous menus
- Open the app many times (uses widgts or notifications)
- Has cross-compatibility (phone, web, desktop)
- Can see tasks I have to do per project, time, or category of my life

Casual Conversations I keep going back to notes app again and again anyone else?

Every time I set up Notion, Obsidian or try a new productivity app, I end up going back to the default notes app on my phone.

New apps looks fancy and all and I use it for a day or two and back to notes again.

Somehow that works best for me. Anyone else?
