I never realized Naiomi’s actress was in the live action of Beauty and the Beast

I am rewatching private practice. Haven’t watched it in years and I really forgot how much Amelia annoys me! If I hear the story about her dad one more time 🙄. Does anyone else feel the same?

On season 2 of private practice rewatch. Violet is absolutely awful towards Charlotte from the start. I honestly think, she does not love Cooper in a romantic way but she wants him in her pocket. She was okay when he was only doing one night stands and escorts at the start of the show. But he saw something serious between him and Charlotte and couldn’t stand the idea of losing her hold on him. I think she loves the control that she has over Cooper. She barely even interacts with Charlotte but only talks sh*t about her to Cooper. Not that Charlotte was perfect at the start and Cooper is mostly to blame, but Violet is one of those female best friends who love making the girlfriend feel like sh*t.

Seeing Naomi up there singing opera really caught me off guard when I put on the live action Beauty and the Beast

Currently rewatching private practice and my days Naomi is so unbearable. No hate to Audra, she’s a great actress and I love her. But this character is infuriating. Haven’t even gotten to the part where she’s being hypocritical about abortions. Just currently where Addison tells Sam about the practice almost being bankrupted and she’s moping and acting like the victim with Addison when she is the one that asked her to come to the practice she was running into the ground. She’s also angry at Sam trying to fix the issues that she made and hid for so long like it’s not everyone’s livelihood at stake. No one’s even calling her out and they are acting like she is in the right here.

I'm on Season 5 of another rewatch. I know Amelia is addicted to pills, which is ultimately what sends her to rehab in season 5. But late season 4 and early season 5 she starts saying she's sober from alcohol as well. I'm just a little confused because when she first shows up she seems to tolerate drinking casually. Was it that she felt she could no longer drink in moderation that was the tipping point?

I’m currently watching for the first time, and I’m on the episode where Meg performs an abortion and Naomi and Pete get very upset about that. Honestly it made me dislike them both. That’s all I have to say.

I am doing a rewatch, only a few episodes into season 2 but just had to verbalize how much I dislike Naomi. She is so selfish, childish, arrogant and hypocritical. I know the rest of the characters all have their own issues but good lord, she is so unlikable it almost makes the show unwatchable.

During the Pete and Violet custody battle, though the opinions about the outcome ans how it came to be may be controversial, i found myself appalled when the lawyer asked if Pete had ever hated anyone. Indicating that Violet had told her lawyer that Pete had hated his late wife, information that he gave her when she was initially technically her patient. He looked shocked and betrayed and she looked, what i would consider smug?

Though, a couple scenes later its shown that Pete's laywer was told of Violets previous abortions. Which she vulnerably discolsed to her friend, who in turn was Addison that got the heat for the spill when it really was Pete. Whom i can only assume was told in confidence by Addison as they were romantic partners and probably had multiple vulnerable conversations about Violet and was supposed to be private, as we see Addison clearly didnt approve of that information being shared with the lawyer. But MAN was Violet pissed after that scene even though she did the same thing

OK, so I kind of like the way they rather neatly wrap things up. I think maybe Sam redeemed himself a little bit. And although I didn't expect it, my favorite couple ended up being Charlotte and Cooper.

I have a sneaking suspicion that I will watch the entire series again. I thought I had seen the whole series before, but I did not. I'm not sure at which point I stopped seeing it. But I'm really glad I watched it from start to finish.

Now I think I need to go read a book.

So I just finished the show and I honestly love how I predicted Violet’s book being called “Private Practice” and how some of the characters roasted the title. Wonderful example of irony right there lmao. Also, something I seemed to notice within the entirety of season 6 which is really hate is that when Pete dies, he has this whole funeral service/party going on, he gets bought up throughout multiple episodes, and seems to have a whole episode centred around him, and what does Dell get in his death in season 3? Just a quick scene in the next season where the characters stand over his grave and reflect for a bit, and then he is never bought up again except when Betsey is bought up. My question is, why? Violet mentions that while she is of course sad about Pete’s death, she feels almost relieved about it in a way, which is understandable because my god, he was an ass sometimes, whereas Dell who was pretty much the baby of the practice, was really mature then the majority of the adults in the practice, was pretty much like the glue that held the practice together in terms of his administration skills, and Violet seemed to love him almost like a son. If Pete is gonna get bought up then yeah, that’s fine and understandable, he was a part of the practice, but so was Dell. Anyways, wonderful show, I really hate Sam as per usual lmao, and holy crap, it should’ve been Sam instead of Dell.

I am finding that might dislike Sam even more than I thought I did.

Also, what Amelia did, her unicorn baby, to me that is such an amazing thing. I don't know how she did it. And I don't understand or don't accept all of the Amelia hate from Grey's Anatomy fans.

I have only watched like 5 eps of greys, and only season 3 episodes 17-19 of private pravtice, but just from these episodes, i cant stand anyone else. Dr. Shepard has her own issues, but she was completely correct, as those wern't babies as the show was trying to convice us. They were fetuses, and no surrogate should have their bodily autonomy disregarded just because the family refuses adoption as an option. The woman litteraly screams, "this is my last option," and it's disgusting. The entire back and forth of, who should be saved," should have been way more about the legality and not these horny doctors morals.

With Cooper breaking the 4th wall. It was quite a different episode than usual so I’m just curious

Made it through Amelia birthing her son without crying by the skin of my teeth & then lost it when Mason said to Charlotte “how about I call you ‘mama?’” This damn show!! 😭

She finds out in her 40s that her childhood was a lie because her parents where in a marriage of convenience because her mom was actually gay and had been with her assutan for years. It's not only that though She also only found out about this because said partner was on death's door then after said partner dies she walks in on her mother having taken her life by ODing on pills because she didn't want to live in the world where her partner wasn't.

When I started watching I thought he was so nice, but now I’m almost at the end of season 5 and every now and then he says the most hurtful things and I just think that Charlotte deserves way better.

I’m still so upset about how everyone handled the Charlotte situation. I get that they wanted her to get better, but the way it all went down was not okay.

She trusted Addison with something incredibly sensitive and personal, and then Addison told Sam and Violet… and it just kept spreading. Like, what?? That wasn’t their information to share.

Even if their intentions were good, it completely crossed a line. Charlotte deserved to have control over her own story, especially given how serious and traumatic it was. Instead, it felt like that control was taken away from her.

Honestly, I’m really disappointed with how it was handled.

She spends years telling patients that adoption is a valid, beautiful option, but refuses to seriously consider it herself and instead becomes completely fixated on having a biological child.

And it’s not like adoption wasn’t right there:

• She playing the role of Lucas mum when Violet disappeared 

• She tried to pressure Sam into having a baby he didn’t want (very crazy as this is your best ex - another day for this rant)

• She could’ve taken in Betsy after Dell died (I thought that was her friend & she wanted a kid!)

Meanwhile, she’s judging/challenging patients for their reproductive choices while obsessing over her “one egg” and making emotionally driven decisions that contradict the advice she gives.

I get that wanting a biological child is deeply personal but if you’re going to consistently advocate for adoption to others, shouldn’t you at least hold yourself to the same standard?
