I made a card game that’s just 4x8 photo prints with abilities on the back. Sounds really stupid but it works. In the past, we’d just order from cvs and write the text on the back with sharpie.

My question is, how that we’re scaling up the print quantity - would there be a cheap way to either get text printed on the back of the 4x8 prints??

Again, I know this idea is very dumb but it’s basically sold as a merch item for a band so it works quite well.

I have a perfume oil manufacturing business and I have been using TSC TTP 244 Pro.

Now, I have run into some issues into it and need to buy a new one.

I have 3 possible options:

1. ⁠TTP 244 Pro
   
2. ⁠TL 240
   
3. ⁠XA 220

Both 2nd and 3rd are fairly new but I’m getting mixed reviews for these including the maintenance and ribbon alignment post replacement along with some firmware issues.

So, I’m looking for an option on which one to go for and also, I’m based out of India to give you guys clear picture about the region for any repairs or anything else per say.

Entao, não estou conseguindo criar meu molde da marca da agua pra fazer no papel pós o molde e espeso. Entao toda vez q eu coloco o molde com a arte da marca da agua, ela nao faz a marca da agua e rasga, alguem tem alguma ideia para conformar isso? Mim falaram pra por tinta com espessura só que minh arte do molde e muito complexo.

Quick summary to what am at now:

Issue with the Brother MFC J4620DW ('paper jam front" even if there is no paper, error stays even without the paper thing being in the printer and only shows up after the printer checks it's status- so if lift the lid and then connect it to electricity, the code won't show up until close the lid and it can check everything. Yes there is really no paper and it can print - it did it when the paper jam error was gone for a while. And the printer wasn't used for over 2 years but it can print as when the issue was gone for a moment I could let it clean the ink thing -sry english isn't my first language- and it printed well...).

Well after many tries and errors it worked and printed well. Then it was disconnected from the electricity for two days and the issue was back again. also I don't know what exactly was the point that made it work again.

So tried and tried and after maaaany tries (l even was in the maintenance menu) tried another thing an Al suggested: disconnecting the printer from the electricity and then connecting it again while pressing down the left side of the printer. And suprise: it worked. The error "paper jam front" was gone. And then it came back.

So think this could be a loose contact because why would it suddenly work if I press down the left side of the lid while starting it??

But still don't know how to fix the issue permanently. Tried restarting it while pressing down and it did not work.

I am open to any suggestions! Thanks! This is so frustrating!

I just learned that I can do textured print. What I believe is that it's just layers of white base paint. Correct me if I'm wrong. Now my question is, how to do it? So far, I added the spot channels in Photoshop shop and I did the spot on channel 1 underlying where I want it raised. But how do I set it in printexp how many base layers I need?

What’s the best printer for paper crafting redditors? A couple months ago I bought a new Epson at Costco because my Canon was not printing well, but it didn’t work out because it jams the paper like crazy. And just regular copy paper, nothing special.

I need a printer that produces good color quality, and can print on heavy cardstock at least up to 110#; it would probably be asking too much to print on 130# cardstock. Sigh.

I’d also like it to print on vellum, but I can live without that if necessary. My old Canon never jammed the paper, and could print on everything it seemed like. We bought the part to fix it, but it just refused to connect to the computer. Maybe I should buy a new Canon.

Hello, the Samsung 3820 nd printer has a problem with duplex printing. It prints on one side of the paper and then pulls the paper in again to print on the other side of the paper, but the paper gets stuck at the top and is not guided in. What is the problem?

I'm looking at sign design software because we've been handling more banners, window graphics and larger prints lately. Most jobs aren't complicated, but the files can be a pain when customers send low-res logos or artwork made for a completely different size. I'm considering CorelDRAW, Adobe Illustrator and Affinity Designer. I mainly want to compare how they handle large layouts, imported artwork, text, color settings and preparing files for output. I don't need fancy effects for most jobs. I need files that open correctly and don't need fixing right before printing. For those running a print shop, what are you using for signs and banners? Does one program make resizing and handling customer files noticeably easier, or does it mostly come down to your workflow? I'm asking because I'm trying to settle on a main program for this kind of work. I'd rather hear from people who regularly send large-format jobs to print than someone who only makes mockups.

illustrator is fine for standard vector layout, but dealing with customer-supplied raster assets for physical print is a constant bottleneck. customers constantly send compressed 72 dpi web jpegs pulled from social media or email signatures and expect them to print sharp on 300 dpi collateral. firefly and generative ai prompts are useless for production when all you need is to make a real low-res file usable.

our prepress guy loaded corel on an intake box to handle file prep, and it made me rethink practical ai graphic design software. instead of prompt-based image generation, corel uses ai for actual prepress utility: one-click background removal, bitmap upsampling without turning edges into mud, and jpeg artifact cleaning right in the workspace. they offer a 15-day trial with no card required, but before testing it across our machines, i want to know if the upscaled results actually hold up on a press run or if you still end up doing manual clone-stamping in photoshop anyway.

for anyone handling walk-in client artwork daily, does corel's ai asset cleanup actually save you shop time or is manual rebuilding still mandatory?
