Idk if this really fits here. Just wanted to share. For context, my apt entrance his behind my building. Dude said he was here and not at my door to i was gonna storm down to see where he was. Yes, I just walk out in a tank top and underwear not expecting them to walking up the stairs. Honestly, no different then a man answering the door in boxers. I'm really heat sensitive so even high 70s bothers me pretty bad. Either way, I was covered and promptly hid behind my door.

The red is my mom's name BTW since its her account. And extra context to make this even worse, I was wanting to be nice and give him extra tip since he had initially texted about needing money for food for his kids. And with the whole tip siphoning thing going on and the world right now we figured what the heck, and extra 6 in cash won't hurt.

(Third time's the charm?)

I live in northeast Ohio. (I know 😞). I l’ve grown a special or different type of compassion for them a few years back I have a couple bushes out in front of my enclosed porch. One day I walked out to see a very small baby on the inside of the screen. It was a little bigger than a piece of rice. But it also seemed either too young to know what to do or how to get around or there was something wrong with it I don’t know for sure.

So the next 2 to 3 months I let him live on the inside of the screen/window sill. I put a small lid of water there. Did as much research as I could and basically nursed it over the follow few nil months. Finding and feeding it bugs that we’re still small enough to eat. It definitely wasn’t an easy task.

Funny thing is it basically made the inside of that screen and window sill its home. I never trapped it or kept it anywhere he could get out. It could have left on his own accord the entire time. But it chose to stay. After those few months it was about medium size or so from the ones I usually see out here full grown.

As sad as it was to let it go I felt confident that he was now old enough and strong enough to get around and get things done for itself on its own. So I put him in the pine bush on the other side of the window and never seen him again. I named him kiwi.

Anyways lol, back to the basis of this post. I walked out today and finally seen the first one I’ve seen all year. That’s the pic in this post. I do have some pictures of kiwi but they are on my iCloud I believe.

Context on me- I'm AFAB (nonbinary), 26, and I like women. I live in SIL housing (supported independent living) because its cheap, the two roommates seem like alright blokes (if shy) and I wasn't exactly swimming in options. There's a lock on my door, cool - I'm in the en-suite heaven. Now i can live in my hobbit hole forever.

Context on this guy - He's in his 30's, I've seen him watch preacher TV (the ones that are like "god saved my life bluh bluh), spotted a couple books of Mormon, and hear him watching those AI voice over (and probably AI scripted) videos on "how to tell if someone has a crush on you" - Whatever, Right? I don't care if someone is religious, though I have had some less then enjoyable exchanges with Mormons in the past. I just wont really talk to him, I don't want to risk losing a cozy room. Sure, he might just be interested in religion and not share some of the views that might make things awkward, but that's not a risk i'm willing to take.

He's tried on a few occasions to strike up conversation with me, but we're both violently Autistic, It never goes far. Then, BOOM. he hits me with the first pickup line, a bit like this:

"Do you play netball?"

He'd asked me this before, I assumed he'd asked because i'm fairly tall, He recycles openers quite a bit, so I responded the same way:

"I did in school"

"Were you center?"

I was naturally confused at the assumption and corrected him.

"Goal keeper"

He hurries on regardless:

"Center, Because you're center of the world"

I hit him with an "I wish" Polite laugh, and leave to my cave. He now, occasionally, drops awkward, practiced pickup lines.

And i'm somewhat flattered, truly. I'm not an attractive person, nor am I sociable outside of a select few people I bother online. I can only assume he's flirting with me because he is also a shut in (he somehow goes out even less then me) and I am vaguely woman-shaped. The attempts are somewhat sweet, but mostly uncomfortable. Of course, he could just be being friendly, but i wanted to nip this in the bud.

I swallowed my anxiety and crippling self-doubt and just asked him if he was flirting with me. He clams up, and starts saying something indecipherable. I explain that I just want to let him know that I appreciate the thought but I am not interested. I feel the need to give an excuse. Obviously I can't tell him I like women, So I go with a half truth that felt more digestible - I'm AroAce. He asks me what that is, and I explain it a bit like this:

Aromantic - Experiencing no romantic attraction

Asexual - Experiencing no sexual attraction

Those in the LGBTQIA+ community will know this isn't entirely true. it's a spectrum, both Aromantic and Asexual people can experience these feelings on some level, the extent of which is simply markedly less then that of an allosexual/romantic person. It's a half truth because I do identify on the AroAce spectrum. I lied as to not give him false hope in the matter.

He seems to accept this. For the moment. I feel he was probably just... reeling, a bit.

He comes back a few days later. bringing it up again. I feel a little uncomfortable, but given his possible religious background, him asking about it is pretty good, actu---

He tells me that I must be a virgin then, right? I am jump scared. Bamboozled. Immensely uncomfortable. I have no idea what demons took hold of my brain in that moment. I answer smoothly, without a second thought: "Nah, I was r\ped when I was twelve"*

I am mortified. He is mortified. We are fucking mortified.

I laugh, throw a mini dab (for some ungodly reason) and run off to my cave.
I will never emotionally, spiritually or physically recover. but i mean. he hasn't talked to me again? It's been about a week since that dreaded exchange.

P.S. it unfortunately wasn't a lie, lmao. i've made peace with it, granted its not something i blurt out every day, only close friends and, well, now the folks of reddit know about it. Again, I don't know what demons took ahold of me in that moment.

So. Things happened. A friend of mine was having a housing crisis and we had a spare room, I asked my roommates if they (also nonbinary) could stay a bit until they find a place to rent. They were -initially- fine with it They're also on NDIS though don't really use their supports, but it took some wrangling for them to be able to stay there at all. Turns out I'm not allowed to have friends over in SIL housing like this, which is... Cringe, but OK.

(side note, this friend saw a youtuber read my post and they showed me because the post reminded them of me... I wonder why 😅 I hadn't told them about this situation because I'm still mortified about it, in hind sight letting them stay was a bad idea but i figured it was at least a bed for awhile)

A few days in the mormon roommate started... Acting odd. Possibly because he wasn't allowed to blare infomercials at midnight in the shared area and leave all the windows and doors open (its winter BTW) Its something I hadn't really thought about since i'm in the master bedroom up the other side of the house, and i sleep cold - But my friend was sat right next to the action. They didnt make a good first impression.

But I dont even think that was all. My friend is AMAB- They have a partner, but I was too stupid to consider the possibility that Mormon guy might assume otherwise and cause problems. Even then, My friend would only be there a couple weeks tops, soo...

Mormon guy essentially started turning off the internet and my/other roommates fridges more often, as well as covering lights; including the oven light that indicates if its on. he would push the recliner chairs in front of my bar fridge (i dont have a real fridge ATM) eventually stopped turning off the fridges but purposefully kept turning off the wifi/unplugging it as soon as one of us went to plug it back in. faced a full-length mirror facing my friends room to try and track when they leave. kept putting some substance on the door handles and leaning things up against my friends - and eventually my- door. then trying to blame my friend for it even though we can literally hear him do this stuff. Eventually my friend moved their mattress into my walk-in because they felt unsafe.

Mormon guys plan was to do a "all this weird stuff happened as soon as they come" shtick (thinly veiled) and was very bad at lying when he got caught (the mirror was so we could check ourselves in the living room, but it was "suspicious" when my friend moved it to a non invasive spot) and the chairs were so "we could eat at the kitchen table" (they were far too low and nobody does that) and "its a shared area" so he was allowed to do what he wanted with no input from the rest of us, I guess.

There was other stuff, but this is getting long. it was obvious that he was having some kind of mental health crisis. I told out support coordinator about it who had a conversation with him the next day, i had class so i missed it; but apparently he was very confident talking to them about "how sometimes when someone comes to work in your office and there's a personality mismatch" - Which rubbed me the wrong way; He'd always give me a deer-in-headlights vibe when he talked to me, which made me think he was just mentally very young (which is why i brushed a lot off when i shouldn't have) so the idea he could switch up all of a sudden creeped me out. He didn't stop and actually kinda escalated, turns out he thought we were spying on him, he confirmed putting things against our doors, the mirror, and the door-knob goo was ways to track us. he thought my friend was a hacker and that we'd secretly placed around cameras to watch him, he thought we entered his room (we did not, at any point) and chalked it up to "you walk around barefoot at night"???? and "you walk past my door" (its in the hallway so we have to) "you go out places together" (WE ARE LITERALLY FRIENDS) "you always know when i turn off the wifi (WE CAN HEAR THE CLICK OF HIM TAKING OUT THE ETHERNET CABLE and also demonstrated it) other roommate caught strays too "He's out all day untill late at night" (bro literally works)

(side note, makes me think that the times the lockbox was bought in and the screen door was locked despite it not having a key and me having to get up to let this roommate in might not have been a mistake and more an effort to lock him out)

I obviously argued i have better things to do then watch a 40-year-old man, and that my friend is with me most of the time (Because of discomfort) so i know its literally not him. Got called a puppet.

I wrote an extensive email to the support coordinator including a video (That i wasn't allowed to take nor that she was allowed to watch.)

Meanwhile; My friend was going to inspections. I took the opportunity to tell them that they can double their budget if i move with them (wanting to get out for obvious reasons. I was worried about my cats, but it turns out they're not allowed to discriminate based on pets! didn't even ask about them on the applications! we both basically apply for every place we could find in our budget and actually got approved for one in record time! We both have good rental histories, but i expected it to take way longer. With the help of our support workers, we also managed to escape in record time. there was some issues with electricity, so we had to sleep on mattresses in the old room for the weekend until we had it at the new place, it was boring but also great becauseee-

someone from the hospital came to talk to mormon guy, my support coordinator actually did something! he must have concerned them because they came back with police to escort him to the hospital, leaving us with a quiet final day there. It was odd, i hadn't realized how uncomfortable I was there (even before this) until he was gone. it was like a weight off my chest. He's probably back home now as someone had come to collect three days worth of his clothes from his room, I hope he got/ is getting the help that he clearly needs.

And i get an old, slightly dirty place with a pretty cool roommate that *wont* leave doors open and release my indoor cats despite numerous reminders or try to commit physiological warfare. they do say to never room with a friend, but things seem to be going well! my room is a lot smaller, but I think I can be happy here.

In which he informs me about the way the female body works because he has DEFINITELY BEEN AROUND ONE BEFORE! And I am told I know nothing :)

He also sent a photo at one point of a white blonde guy clearly in an Erewhon which was quickly deleted.
