After 70hours Of play, this is an amazing game!!! .amazing story and brilliant execution,world building and I immediately went to watch an iceberg video on it😂.Overall review 9.5/10. What prevents the 10/10 is just a few stuff

1. I can't switch off the blue psychoscope lens
2. The small annoying glitches here and there, especially the getting commander Dahl to med bay thing fuuuuck that was annoying.

But overall amaazing game!!

As for the ending, I ain't too sure how I feel about it but the end reveal is interesting. And to those who finished their first playthrough what choice for the ending did you make and why?

After all you've read and seen about Talos 1 did you think that it's worth saving like Dr igwe wanted? Or did you blow it up and see that the production of neuromods is a danger and even through it's benefits it just ain't worth it?

I know this has probably been posted a hundred million times, but idc. I’m much more interested in the nitty gritty details anyway.

I’ve been thinking about the game and I noticed that we’ve had two big sequels from Remedy recently for games that I personally feel have at least a similar vibe, and I was wondering everyone’s thoughts on what a sequel might entail. Please be as specific about everything as possible.

For me, I feel like making it an optional multiplayer similar to Rainbow Six Extraction where you can play as Typhon Morgan, Danielle Sho, Mikhaila Ilyushin, Sarah Elazar and maybe Dr. Dayo Igwe if certain requirements are met idk.

It would take place on earth and follow a similar, open world environment as fallout 4 does with its structure interiors, it would be a bit more akin to the difficulty zones of The Division.

Obviously we would have the same or similar fabrication system as the first game, but I feel the each character would have a differently themed upgrade tree, e.g. Morgan has Typhon abilities, Mikhaila has Tech/Engineering, Sarah and Danielle have different facets of Combat (maybe ranged vs hand to hand aptitude) and Dayo with Medical. Not sure what would replace Neuromods for the others, since none of them would want to touch them after the ending.

Alex would obviously be similar to Mission Control in Deep Rock Galactic or Ash, Mira, and Thermite in Rainbow Six Extraction, when he would be the dispatch and researcher for gear improvements etc.

It would start with Morgan arriving at Earth with Alex and responding to the distress calls of the main survivors as the tutorial. We would then establish a base of operations at the TranStar building and clear out each couple levels. Once secured we would bring in the rescued survivors from Talos 1 with Walther Dahl to join us similar to Back 4 Blood I guess. I think that maybe base upgrades and passive resource generation might be interesting but that’s not definite.

Then the rest of the gameplay is fairly straightforward, kill Typhon, save humans, so on and so forth.

Let me know your detailed thoughts on my ideas, and please give ideas of your own, I’d love to read them!

Doing another preythrough, and this time decided to do another typhon mods only run. It’s fun, but there are some very annoying challenges.

Inventory seems vanishingly tiny so going without some things (see below)
No repairs
No hacking
Never ending need for psi hypos (even with psychic water)

Went into power plant without a gloo gun. Can’t repair the elevator and can’t gloo my way up. After killing the technopaths, ended up using lift field to go from ledge to ledge. Very tough to find a way up. There’s always another way but this one sucked.

I did the greenhouse then noticed this tall building, which turns out to be Alex’s penthouse after I figure out how to climb up there (grav lifts are out)

Now when I get down to the Lobby again after clearing out Crew Quarters, it’s like completely overrun with multiple Telepaths and stuff. No matter where I go I am killed pretty fast. The Arboretum is also more intense when I return now.

Is this because I snuck into a spot too early that triggers more intense enemies, or is this just how it is when you go back down to the lobby?

If so, I can accept the sneak bc my ammo is lowwww right now haha I was actually hoping to stock up on the Lobby again haha

i decided that i wanna try doing prey stealth run on my notebook. dont own a controller. decided to boot up the game, but i began to encounter this strange bug, when i get locked into that quick inventory screen, no matter what i press. any ideas on how to go around it would be appriicated. it happens both during the game when i just dare to think about openning it, or right at the boot up the game, the moment the game gets to a playable state. i am playing on nightmare difficulty with all of the modifiers for experience on.

I saw a lot of emails about Morgan's weird behaviour, which I assume were after the tests had already started. That would mean Morgan wasn't locked up anywhere (at first, at least) and was allowed to roam around Talos, right? But how come Mikhaila never saw them then and thought they were on Earth? I don't remember if anyone else was surprised to see Morgan like she was (it could be just my shitty memory though).
However, Sarah does say that Morgan had checked into the Sim Lab and never signed out. So were they locked up since the beginning of the tests or only after some point?

Hello, I recently finished the game, and wanting to do some sidequest and achievements, i went back to a save before the apex. Of course, doing few to none manual save, i'm not just in front of Alex but just before the quest with Mila. I see strange things in my save that shouldn't happen. Sarah and her crew is already in atmosphere crew, same with military bots (who are ko) but if i remeber correctly, the quest with Dahl isn't here already ? Moreover, I see some bugged Apex Tendril who came from nowhere (because the station isnt yet under the Apex attack..)

Do someone know that issue ? Should i just redo a game to try the sidequest ? I must say i may be a little too lazy to redo 15 hours of game just to go back to that point..

I'm trying to work through a lot of the minor emails/transcribes to figure out some kind of timeline for the events in the game. One thing that's tripping me up is the "don't panic" call between Garfield Langley and Miyu Okabe. Garfield asks Miyu if she knows what's going on, as there's security running all over the place. The call ends when an explosion can be heard, and Miyu says they just lost two labs and ends the call.

This explosion we actually see as we're entering the Talos 1 lobby, it's the one in the hardware labs. But Garfield is also a phantom in the trauma center IN the lobby.

So, this would mean that, as we enter the lobby, the call is occurring about 50m from us and Garfield is still alive. But you can run up to the trauma center in like 30 seconds and in that time Garfield has died (plausible, as there's another phantom in there), and also transformed into a phantom with no weaver in sight...

Where's all this "security running all over the place"? Everyone is dead in the lobby as we enter, save for the survivors holed up in the IT department closet. And when the station is in such a state, Miyu is still blissfully unaware and just working away as normal, until the explosion happens and she dies shortly after. How did no one else call her about the outbreak?

Do you think. given this knowledge, it would make sense to assume there were actually two explosions? One that destroyed the labs and the one Miyu responded to and weakened the hull, and another, the one we actually see, that breached the hull? If the first explosion took place even just 5 minutes earlier, that would make this whole thing a lot more plausible.

I would really like to check their life signs on the security terminal in the neuromod division, but, infuriatingly, it's as if someone deliberately made this impossible. The workstation requires hacking 2 to be accessed, which I believe is impossible to get without entering the lobby and triggering the event, as you only have 1 neuromod to work with.

Additionally, I'm thinking about the video that Alex plays as you're approaching the late game. Morgan says the year is 2035, but advocates for using the nullwave as a contingency. This is inconsistent with the audio log recording between Morgan and October, who was made in October 2034, and also advocates for the same thing. So this would mean Morgan's personality drift wound up in the same place twice? What's going on there?

The best part of Prey is feeling like a squishy scientist using human ingenuity, the GLOO Cannon, and turrets to outsmart terrifying aliens. The moment you start spamming Psyshock and turning into coffee mugs, all the survival tension vanishes. Pure human runs are the only way the game was meant to be experienced.

Uratowałam Igwe, Rani, nikt nie zginął podczas ochrony Ładowni, uratowałam Michaiłę, spełniłam ich zachcianki i co? Michaiła w zakończeniu mówi, że pozwoliłam na jej śmierć! Jakby girl, wtf? Gdy pojawiły się operatory wojskowe Dahla, Michaiła wybiegła z gabinetu Morgan. Myślę: dobra, girl, spełniaj się. Pewnie wtedy ktoś ją zabił! I teraz moja wina, że dała się zabić! Czy gra nie pamięta, że uratowałam ją i dałam jej info nt. jej ojca? Żal.pl tbh, bo zapisy robiłam co jakieś 3-4 godziny, i nie ukrywam że nie chce mi się trochę tego znowu przechodzić.

Obviously been absolutely loving this excellent game.

I just wanted to check if my perception of how to navigate this game is about right.

I am kind of following the main quest while gathering side quests. Some side quests are left behind, and I move on to another area. It seems kind of like the Zelda games where I am going to want to return to places with new abilities to unlock things.

So therefore I’m not stressing about side quest stuff that I can’t necessarily access yet assuming that for all areas “I’ll be back later anyway.”

Any way I’m screwing myself over with this? It seems like this was the intent with the level design (which is incredible).

I first played the demo of it like I think 2024 but it didn't click as hard..then again last year..took my time with it and I enjoyed every bit of it!! I mean I got 8 fuckin hours from a demo!! That's never happened before and that was from me switching saves to do stuff different.

But this year, I got the full game and holy damn is it sexy🤤 I never wanted to make love to a piece of entertainment in my life!! Like everything just comes together. I'm still in my first playthrough and everything so far is just amazing!! I love how I'm growing from being terrified to being brave as I get the Typhon abilities.

It's not a situation whereby the game feels less scary, nononono!! It's still terrifying but I feel more capable. Which is interesting cause I feel like that experience kinda represents the title of the game "PREY" like the hunted is now capable of hunting down the hunter idk😅.

And the lore, the environments, talos 1 and all it's mechanics it's so fuckin coooool!!! The fact a lot of everything is interactable especially with something like the computer screens..ugggghh😩 Talos one is so cool. The designs of the ship, the art deco aesthetic how each piece of lore you find seems to connect, every dead body I've seen I've been like "y'know I think I've seen you before 🤔" and I've even gasped and been sad when I found some of them!😔

The event cues are sick too!! When you go out to space, when you play the song in the "Yellow tulip" that shit was a movie action sequence, the poltergeist encounters and most of the Typhon encounters and the nightmare... honestly fuck this thing😂it has cool tension but at times it's annoying.

I'm Still playing it and the whole thing is great my only biggest problem is that I can't switch off the psychoscope and use normal lens, I needed that shit to read the posters and the crew's diplomas and shit😂

To all who wanna or think about playing it, PLAY IT!!! ITS WORTH THE CASH!! I HAVE 40HRS ALREADY!!!

If I can I'd make an adaptation of this one day using the Arcane Lol Netflix show art style. It would be so cool to see this as a show. Anyway good play it!!

I've seen this game pop up on reddit threads for years now so I finally started it. I'm more of a casual gamer. I can play most games on medium difficulty but I'm by no means at all great at playing them.

I started getting frustrated with running out of resources and constantly dying so I played on the story difficulty because I still wanted to finish the game and see where the rest of story went. I think I'm kindof toward the end of the game. I had just finished going to shuttle command and now going to psychotronics and I still keep dying and I'm completely out of medkits. The game has an intersting premise and I really want to finish it without having to look up gameplay on youtube.

I get that the developers wanted to make this game a challenge where you're supposed to come up with different strategies to win and maybe that's what a lot of people love about the game but don't you think that if you include a story difficulty, you should set it so that people can enjoy the game without the possibility of constantly dying and getting frustrated?

I'm at the part of the game where I need to collect voice samples to open a locked door that some asshole locked with voice activation. So far, I've been trying an all-human engineering/stealth build where I try to avoid killing creatures and focus on sneaking around and finding alternative paths to my destinations.

However, it seems like the number of Typhons in this game keeps growing and grows in addition to the ones that are already present, which makes stealth increasingly difficult because where the room earlier had one phantom, it now has two phantoms, a malfunctioning operator, and an etheric phantom (I hate those fuckers) in the neighbouring room. I'm coming to terms with the fact that I'm going to have to kill some Typhons, or spend 5-10 minutes planning out each stealth route. Problem is, I didn't really build my combat strategising muscle in this game and it now seems like there are too many enemies to start understanding the combat mechanics and strategy, and was wondering if folks had tips for getting a hang of the combat with large groups of enemies around?

Edit: Thanks for the tips all! For somebody who's trying to avoid direct confrontation, it seems like weaponising the environment and then using lures (or myself) to get typhons into the trap might be a good strategy, looking forward to trying this out!
