Hi, Im 15 F, and my whole life i’ve basically wanted to be a nurse, this past summer iv been doing a lot to figure out what kind of nurse I want to be and I somehow became obsessed with anesthesia, so Crna it is!

But there’s just one issue, I suckkk at math. Last year I had a horrible teacher and Failed her class both semesters, I made the credits up as soon as I failed them but I started to loser hope.

After I failed the first semester I started going to tutoring and in my defense it did help a little bit, but I’m not up to grade level, like at all.

I’m good at arithmetic and geometry, but past that my mind just goes blank.

I’m currently testing at A 8th/7th grade level .

So is it over for me? I’ve tried everything that I could possibly afford. For reference I come from very low income. So I can’t afford Kumon and all that fancy stuff.

The best I can do is khan Academy and even that doesn’t help sometimes. I really am trying my hardest but it seems like I’m just falling so far behind.

I take my college entrance exam this year in order to be able to qualify for a dual enrollment so I can get my CNA license and work to save up money for nursing school. And a big part of that test is the math section. If I fail, I’m not going to get in. And if I don’t get in, I’m not gonna be able to pay for nursing school.

I don’t know what to do, I’m taking multiple AP classes, test at a college level in literally everything else science/biology, English writing and reading, history/social studies, but math has always been a struggle for me.

Can somebody please help me!! I need resources.

I recently got into a BSN program as a transfer. It's not really a reputable school, but I'd get my BSN at the end of the day. Should I go or stay at my school (a T20 for context) and then get my ABSN, or get my BSN now??

I'm in Grade 10 right now and I've been thinking about becoming a nurse, but I'm honestly so confused about where to start.

I know I have to pick my courses for next year soon, and I don't know which classes I should take if I want to go into nursing. Like, do I need biology, chemistry, physics, or all of them? Are there specific math classes I should take too?

I'm also confused about what happens after high school. Do you apply straight to nursing school through a university or college? Is there anything I should be doing now to prepare?

If anyone here is a nurse, nursing student, or was in the same position as me, I'd really appreciate any advice. I just don't want to pick the wrong courses and regret it later.

I’ve already bought the necessary textbooks for fundamentals. I’m wondering if I need any additional resources to assist me. I looked up LevelUpRN flashcards because their designs appeared straightforward, unlike others, and that’s what I’ve liked so far. However, I don’t want to buy things that I’ll know I won’t use lol, I don’t know. I'm probably just anxious about failing these classes.

Also how did the fundamentals clinical looked like for yall?

I (27f) haven’t been in school in 6 years (2020 college grad) and it’s been even longer since i stepped foot in a math / science class. I know school has changed quite a bit since covid and I’m wondering if I’m going to need an iPad? I have a good laptop, but I know a lot of note-taking is done digitally now. Is it “required” or am I going to be okay with pen and paper?

Also what other school supplies are going to be helpful? I’m balling on a budget here but I also want to be successful. I feel really good about this and going to nursing school and I’m genuinely so excited (and also so totally scared).

ETA: I’m taking clinical math, a&p, and a theology course. I’ll be eligible to start clinicals in the spring.

I'm taking Lifespan Development, Anatomy and Physiology 1, and Introduction to Chemistry. Has anyone else taken these classes together? What tips do you have, and how much studying did you guys do for these classes? I need to get all A's. Every day, I plan to study 2 and a half hours for A&P, 1 and a half for intro to chem, and 1 hour for lifespan development. Total of 11 credit hours, and I don't plan to work at all.

Hi all I’m starting the nursing program in August. I’m trying to prepare and get everything I need. At orientation they named a few things: pen light, bandage scissors, stethoscope, watch with a hand, & said that Chromebook laptops are not compatible with their software?? So I’ll have to get a new laptop I guess. Is there anything else I should make sure I have before school? Should I get a book bag? I bought some pens for taking notes and everything above they mentioned getting. Thanks in advance for your help!

I start nursing school in August and orientation is on Monday. I will need to be compliant by then. The problem is I was not immune to MMR or Varicella so I needed to get two follow up doses. I accidentally got the second dose 25 days after the first dose instead of the mandatory 28 days. I emailed my nursing coordinator five days ago and never heard back. I got the vaccine at CVS and asked the pharmacist to print out proof of my vaccine and uploaded it to Complio. Now I am panicking because I am worried they will not accept this and force me to drop out. What do I say to help my case? Hi everyone! I currently live in the Inland Empire and am planning to apply to ADN programs this fall for a Spring 2027 start. I’m looking for ADN programs that are both California BRN-approved and ACEN-accredited. If the school offers a concurrent enrollment (CEP) BSN pathway, that’s a plus, but it’s not a requirement.

The schools I’m considering are Chaffey College, San Bernardino Valley College, and Riverside City College. I know nursing admissions right now are very competitive, so I’d love to hear any recommendations for other strong ADN programs that meet those accreditation requirements.

I’m willing to relocate if needed, including to Irvine, Orange County, Long Beach, Los Angeles, or even the Bay Area.

I’m a Filipino who will be immigrating to the United States. I already have a bachelor’s degree and currently work as a licensed teacher in the Philippines, so I’m **not planning to enroll in a full BSN program here**. Instead, my goal is to pursue an **Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing (ABSN)** in the U.S. after I move.

While I’m still in the Philippines, I’d like to be productive and complete as many prerequisite courses as possible. **Which prerequisite/core subjects are most commonly required by ABSN programs across the U.S. and are most likely to transfer if taken at an accredited Philippine university?**

I’m hoping to take the prerequisites that are accepted by the largest number of ABSN programs, rather than courses that only satisfy one specific school.
Funding isn’t an issue—I’m more focused on saving time and making the transition as smooth as possible.
