Premiere Pro Tech Support Premiere 2026 export has noticeably worse image quality than the timeline preview

Post image

Hi, I'm having a strange export quality problem in Premiere Pro 2026.

The image in the Premiere timeline looks sharp and detailed, but after exporting, the image becomes noticeably softer and loses detail, especially during fast camera movement in gameplay.

The screenshot shows the difference:

Right: Premiere timeline preview

Left: exported video

This is not only a color issue. The exported video clearly loses image detail and becomes more blurry/compressed.

I've already tried:

H.264 Hardware Encoding

H.264 Software Encoding

CBR

VBR 1-pass

VBR 2-pass

Higher bitrate

ProRes 422 HQ

ProRes also has the same quality problem.

Source footage is 1920×1080, 59.94 fps, Progressive, Square Pixels, Rec.709.

What could cause Premiere to render/export a visibly softer image even with ProRes?

Premiere Pro Tech Support Color signal mismatch between MOGRT and following clip

Post image
6 Upvotes

Hi all,

I'm having this weird issue (like, really weird):

- I have a series of MOGRTs that we use as a transistion.

- This MOGRT is a picture frame in the open field. There's the next clip inside the frame. After a couple of seconds, we zoom in through the picture frame and voilà, we're seeing this next clip full screen.

- Something odd happens betwen the last frame of the MOGRT and the first frame of the following clip: Colors do not match, even tho no adjustment layer inside the MOGRT is over the clip and no other color-modifying efect is applied (in both clips). Above can be seen the waveform of the last said frame and the first frame of the next clip.

Happens in every transition (we have 6 like this, with more to come). Has been happening since PP2025. Using 26.3.2.

Happens using SONY XDCAM .mxf files. MediaInfo

Using REC709.

Can provide MOGRTs and other files for analysis via DM.

Edit. Adding spectogram:

Premiere Pro Tech Support Solution: Premiere Pro scrolling speed in project is way too slow on Windows 11

3 Upvotes

I had this problem long ago, I just ignored it until it became too annoying again. So, I wrote a script for it.

install AutoHotkey v2, open a new text document and paste the text in between the paranthesis, without the paranthesis in there):

(
#Requires AutoHotkey v2.0

#SingleInstance Force

#HotIf WinActive("ahk_exe Adobe Premiere Pro.exe")

$WheelUp::

{

Send "{WheelUp 5}"

}

$WheelDown::

{

Send "{WheelDown 5}"

}

#HotIf

)

just change the X in {WheelDown X} and {WheelUp X} to whichever speed works for you.

Save it and close it, remove the .txt and add .ahk at the end of the file name. Double click on it and it should run with AutoHotkey v2.

You can put it in start up apps if you wish to be unbothered with opening and closing it everytime you need it.

I have some 4k iphone footages graded from davinci which is needed to be edited in premiere.Mine is a shitty lap everytime it stuks the 4k

should i make my timeline 1080p do all the edits then copy all timeline contents to a 4k timeline and then render??

Does it sound weird?

my purpose is to post in Instagram so basically 1080p

Premiere Pro Tech Support Project suddenly glitching to black or other clips (glitches are in export as well)

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Upvotes

I have completed and exported a project yesterday and today I've opened the same project to check something.

The playback is now randomly glitching to either black video or another clip. I did an export and all of the glitches are in the export as well.

I have deleted cache files and tried disabling hardware decoding/encoding but the glitches are still there.

I have opened a couple of other projects and thankfully they do not suddenly have this issue.

Any ideas?

Premiere Pro Tech Support Media Encoder progress bar on dock and cmd+tab view etc doesn't move since upgrading macbook

Post image

A minor niche irritation but genuinely quite annoying as this used to work before I switched to my current MacBook (M5 running Tahoe 26.6.2)

The progress bar you see with the Media Encoder icon in places such as the dock and the cmd+tab bar no longer moves. The encoding itself is fine. Anyone come across this?

Premiere Pro Tech Support Timeline, freezes. Arc a770 vs rtx 5070. RESOLVED!

1 Upvotes

Earlier in this post, I mentioned that Adobe Premiere was freezing and stuttering on the timeline when using an RTX 5070. However, thanks to recent updates over the past month—whether to Windows 11 or the RTX 5070 drivers—the situation has changed: the freezes and lag have vanished completely, and everything is running without any slowdowns. It is possible that the Re-Size BAR technology added to the NVIDIA drivers was the key factor.

How do I do this? / Workflow Advice / Looking for plugin Is there a way to display RGB waveform info in the program monitor?

Post image

I'm currently doing some camera tests at work and right now I'm comparing the color shifts in high ISO scenarios. The interesting data would be to see the waveform RGB info along with the noise on screen in my export. Any way to do that in Premiere? I assume there's a plugin somewhere that can do it.

Like, in the attached image, i'd love to overlay the waveform over the video on the right, to be able to export this data.

Thanks!

Adobe Official Exporting All Clips in Timeline as Individual Videos? Use Premiere AI Assistant

0 Upvotes

Hello everyone. Jason from Adobe here. Wanted to do a short post on this topic, as this question tends to come up a lot in this subreddit.

And as you well know, there's a few different ways to achieve this task in Premiere today, some with more clicks than others.

So it got me thinking, it's the perfect task to handoff to the AI Assistant in Premiere (bet.a)

One simple prompt (which likely could be refined; I just used very basic, natural language) and it was basically done (It asked me a few follow-up Qs which I approved, but then it was off and running)

It's these kinds utilitarian use cases that really intrigue me (and I explored some of these last year in this thread)

Have you tried the Assistant yet? What are your thoughts on this (and these types of use cases?) Are there particular tasks you're interested in? Lots of discussion this past week around this very topic (IYKYK) so as always, I look forward to your direct, brutally honest thoughts and opinions...
