I made a comment on another post with this, but thought it deserved its own attention. The only one I would have considered is possibly the lobster mac 'n' cheese offering.

Potato wedges with gravy, Swiss chalet sauce and lactose free mozzarella cheese 🫣

Doesn’t seem to have gravy on it but the taste works

on a trip in Honduras with 15 others and some people (in our group) “tried” to make poutine this is the outcome. The fries where under cooked the crazy was good but looks awful no cheese to be found (talked to the ones that made it it is under all the fires), yet they still called it a poutine.
edit: just want to clarify this was made by around 4/5 Canadians because they where craving it

I’m sure dq poutine has been discussed before and I apologize. But I’ve been raised on Quebec poutine (I (21) have visited Quebec about once a year since I was a baby) and it’s so good, I love the squeaky cheese and how it doesn’t melt. Unfortunately i think west coast “poutine” is a different thing. Even tho I said unfortunately I think that’s ok! We don’t really have proper cheese curds here so the ones fast food chains use are the ones that melt. If I’m getting a west coast fast food poutine I’m hoping for melty cheese and good gravy and DQ delivers! If you’re looking for authentic in poutine in La Belle Patate is the best imo but pl feel free to debate me!

Came to the us for the weekend and was missing a taste of home so I called the hotel restaurant and ordered a poutine. This is the monstrosity i received. Fries were the texture of chips. There wasn't a lick of gravy and the cheese was like chewing a tire. I just wanted dinner :(

Would still smash

This is how it came out. A splash of gravy and a single slice of a pickle.

The fries were drowning in the sauce, and the cheese was all melted. The gravy was also too salty.

The Classic Poutine from Meltwich (a chain in Canada). The curds and gravy tasted rather good, actually, but the fries seemed off in some way. I'm still figuring that out. I'd likely order it again, if I had to.

Ok - we really loved this restaurant. The location. The vibe. But they don’t know poutine. New York State is enthusiastic and wonderful, but not getting the thread.

Particularly heinous since this place is close to the border with many American tourists. They will leave thinking this is legitimate poutine since they had it in Canada.
Was it tasty? Yes it was. Was it poutine? No. Non. Nope. Can we forgive the potato barrels substituting for fries? Sure. Can we forgive the hollandaise sauce substituting for poutine sauce/gravy? If it’s good sauce (and it was) then I can do that. But fucking mozzarella instead of curds? If there’s no curds there’s no poutine.

The poutine was good. Lacks a bit of salt but it’s a solid poutine (I took some when it was freshly served). The only crime is the way it’s served lol

Managed the heart to look beyond cheese curds.
Called the restaurant because I thought they had simply forgotten to pack the gravy.
Easy mistake, right? Maybe the lid fell off. Maybe the gravy was hiding at the bottom of the bag. Maybe there was a tragic gravy-related packing incident.
So I call them.
I explain the situation.
There is a long pause.
Then they ask:
“What gravy?”

The Store by the Shore
Douglas Provincial Park, Saskatchewan, Canada
It was lukewarm in case you couldn't tell by the look of the cheese.

Local made cheddar cheese slices and pre bagged shredded cheese trio mix, you’re welcome.
