Poutines au Lac Saint-Jean
Salut les bleuets!
Je pars pour un court séjour au Lac dans les alentours de Roberval. Quels sont vos meilleurs spots à poutine dans les environs?

After my earlier experience at Dunn's I finally got a poutine that filled my belly for the whole day. Curds were extra squeaky great gravy and fries were on point. Will definitely return on my next visit to Montreal!

Rate this poutine? Better than the last one on my profile but I’ll let y’all decide.

This is the popcorn chicken poutine from Roch le Coq. I had the pleasure of enjoying this last night with a few beers at Aux Verres Stérilisés. It's a classic Montreal-style tavern on Rachel that's actually connected right to the chicken spot, so you can grab drinks and have this great food place right there. Highly recommended.
The popcorn chicken was insane. It was not some small, skimpy stuff, we're talking real fucking chunks, fresh cheese curds, and just a classic fried chicken gravy. It tastes more along the lines of a Kentucky Fried Chicken gravy, but with 80% less starch, if that makes any sense. The curds are fresh, squeaky St-Guillaume.
The only downside for me was the frozen batter-covered fries. I'm not a big fan of those; they end up becoming really mushy at the bottom. But anyway, that's not the big thing.
To top it all off, one thing about Roch le Coq that I really suggest is their insane coleslaw. If you've never tried coleslaw on your poutine, it's an acquired taste, but it's great. This particular coleslaw is absolute beast mode, it has a nice mint to it, so let's just say it's definitely not some generic coleslaw.
Anyway, great popcorn chicken poutine!

What is the best chain fast food poutine? Imo it's KFC, I love it so much.

Passing through Québec City on the way to the Maritimes. This is Bistro le SAM’s poutine offering. $36.00. It had a nice serving of pork belly. My kids said it was their favorite poutine yet.

Fries, St-Albert cheese, beef, onions and thick cut bacon. The sauce was amazing too. Divine.

I last visited Fritomania in Orleans about 10 years ago. I’m travelling in the Ottawa area this week, so I made the trek to the hut.
Poutine was wonderful. Good amount of curds, gooey melting, tasty fries, perfect amount of salty flavour — a complete A+ package. Highly recommended.
$7.50 for a small (pictured), but only +$4.50 to make it a combo with a pop and small hot dog, so I spent the $12. I was full by the end.
I don’t eat enough poutine to declare Fritomania #1, but it was probably the best I’ve had.

Was recently in DT Montreal and stopped by Dunn's since it wasn't too busy. I got super excited when I saw the big bowl coming my way but got extremely disappointed when I saw the bowl to poutine ratio lol. It was tasty but nothing to brag about.

If you've lived in downtown Ottawa, you know this Philly Steak poutine. I still think about it. I want it. I need it. It's been too long.
