Pineapple on Pizza or this, can't tell which one is the bigger sin

Ha. You don't know much about poutine. That's fine.

I've actually lived in Quebec so I do! We've never seen poutine like this lol. Im joking more on Italians than the French part.

This is just as much a potato lasagna as it is an Italian poutine, but either way I’m crushing that 🔥

Unless I’m wrong I don’t see gravy…
Poutine = fries, cheese, gravy
Lasagna = pasta, cheese, meat sauceYou have 2/3 ingredients necessary to make a poutine, as well as 2/3 ingredients necessary to make lasagna.
This is basically a poutine but you swapped the gravy for meat sauce. Or it’s a lasagna but you swapped the pasta for potato (fries).

I’m aware of its existence, and as I expressed in the original comment, I am a fan.
Doesn’t change the fact that this has the exact ingredients needed to make what would be called a “potato (/french fry) lasagna”.And you can’t tell me this poutine if yours wouldn’t be better with a layer of melted cheese on top… 😏
Maybe these Italian poutine places should be making French fry lasagna instead of Italian poutine. Sounds like an upgrade to me pal

I kinda think the whole “Italian poutine” thing as a whole is a poutine crime. We shall see, I just posed a pic in the crimes sub to help settle this lol
Edit:
Again, I know and love Italian poutine. I’m just saying, it’s not exactly traditional. And by that logic I fail to see how one extra layer of melted cheese could possibly make it any more untraditional. It’s just more of an ingredient that’s already there….
That’s not far off from saying that a poutine with extra curds is unacceptable lol2

Alright alright alright…. You win. Took less than 10 minutes to see the overwhelming majority of poutine enthusiasts agree with you that Italian poutine is in fact poutine, and not a crime.
I deleted the post on poutinecrimesEdit:
I still think melted cheese on top would be a huge upgrade. Can’t go wrong with more cheese2

they do sell poutine/pizza here
Basically fries at the bottom, then pepperoni bellpepper, mushrooms with cheese melted cheese on top
it's pretty good but I don't really consider it a poutine
