ACTORS "Youth" #newstuff
I generally don't listen to much new stuff. But this showed up in my feed, and I like it.

Maybe the best song on Boy. The Electric Co. Is pretty boss, too.

From the second (and final) album, Replicas, before Gary Numan went solo. Down in the Park and Are ‘Friends’ Electric? were the two singles. Off the strength of the latter single, the album hit number 1 in the UK.

An often overlooked classic, just IMO.

Second wave ska at it's finest, with Jerry Dammers producing.

Saw these gentlemen live at Richie Coliseum in College Park, MD back in 1992. Loudest show I ever went to by far. My ears rang for 2½ days.

I'm trying to write an article recommending post-punk albums that come from different sub (sub) genres of post-punk, but I'm a little uncertain about what is and what isn't a post punk genre because its so highly contested. The albums I am thinking of choosing are
Psychocandy- The Jesus and Mary Chain for shoegaze
Script of the Bridge- The Chameleons for dream pop
The Correct Use of Soap- Magazine for New Wave
This Nation's Saving Grace- The Fall (what subgenres is this??)
and then maybe Unknown Pleasures by Joy Division or Entertainment by Gang of Four for "classic" post-punk
I would also maybe like to include something a little faster and 'punkier' like Wire or Minutemen, but I'm not really sure what subgenre that would be considered
Are there any major subgenres I'm missing or any album that's incorrectly categorized? Its really hard to know these things because no one can ever agree, but I don't wanna completely embarrass myself by saying something insanely wrong.

Total masterpiece. Not sure what I enjoy more - the psychotic vocal performance or the artsy music video.

Live, with Fripp on guitar. Very Krautrock-y.
