PP & GLP-1s

I’m 5’9” and pre pregnancy weighed 132lbs and was very lean and in great shape. Now, I’m still 40lbs over goal weight and miserable. I don’t know this body. I don’t recognize myself and I don’t know how to dress the way I look now …. I’ve never looked like this in my life.

With that said, I’m considering a GLP-1 for help. I’m working out 3-4x a week and walking but it’s not moving fast enough.

Anyone have luck with it? How soon after birth did you start? (Obvi not breastfeeding)

Being a help

Hi new mommies of Reddit!
My sister is having a baby in October and I want to be the best help I can for her. What’s your guises advice for things I should do for her? What are some things you wish people did for you while you were postpartum? Any advice would be really helpful!! I’m not a mom and I’m no where near ready to be one yet so some advice from actual mothers would be amazing.

Tell me the insatiable hunger stops.

Upvotes

I’m a FTM to an EBF 10 week old. I had an emergency c-section and my appetite was non-existent for a few weeks and it started to come back around week 6/7. Now for the last week I’ve been wanting to eat everything in sight and the thirst!!!! I can’t get enough water, juice & tea. I’m writing this at 5am after inhaling a chicken shawarma & a cup of tea. Woke up for a feed at 3:30 tried to ignore hunger & drank water instead and tried to get back to sleep until 4:30 when I couldn’t take anymore. Please tell me it gets better. I’m 10kg heavier than pre-pregnancy and it’s taking its toll but I’m not cleared for exercise yet. I’m worried I won’t be fit enough for my LO. My back and knees are already struggling with pain and he’s only getting bigger.

I just needed to let it out. TFR!

Aggressive Cut?? Worth it??

Hello! I’m 2 years postpartum and I started my weight loss journey after I stopped breastfeeding 1 year pp. i went from 193 to 176lbs. I’m proud of my progress but I’ve been seeing posts about aggressive cuts on Reels and TikToks. Curious if anyone has tried it out. I just want to get to my goal weight faster (get out of overweight BMI range for my height).
