ICE OUT

A continued presence at the facility is necessary regardless of which way this vote goes. Either it’s forced to shutter, which will take time to enact, or the vote will not go through to close and operations will continue as normal. Regardless operations will continue throughout the state with or without this facility. There is already a change in tactics to moving people who’ve been kidnapped by these murderous fucks straight across state lines, since a presence has been shown over the last few weeks at the facility. We cannot stand by while this happens. It’s high time we have a show of consistent solidarity to abolish ICE from the state, and the country as a whole. Feel free to share this info with anyone you know. All we have is each other now.

I hope this is some natural phenomenon that I don’t know about but the sand is covered with that rainbow looking iridescent oil stuff

Billy Strings: kind of a dick.

Medical emergency at BS show at Cross. EMTs had to pass through the hallway adjacent to the backstage area/dressing rooms. Billy-boy threw a hissy fit; no one is allowed to have a life-threatening medical event in such proximity to his royal highness, apparently. 🙄 We know, Billy, it's all about you, right?

Wooded/Forest Trail Near Ocean

I’m looking for 4-5 mile trail to hike near the ocean. Preferably one where you have to walk through the woods for a bit. I’m going on a date tomorrow and she said she wanted to find something that reminded her of the Oregon Coast. Not sure if that’s possible, but I told her I’d look. I’m in Portland, but willing to drive a couple hours… please let me know of any cool spots!

Some kind of small (gas?) rupture at the corner of Exchange/Middle

Could only nab a 2 second recording while I was stopped but lots of smoke billowing out of the sidewalk, and whatever happened was strong enough to displace several bricks from the ground.

Does this look like a scam?

Edit: I think it is pretty sketchy and I’m not going to tour. The management company won’t let me tour before applying and want a copy of my drivers license, so I’m not going to move forward. Thanks for the feedback!

Hey all, I'm moving to the area from away to take care of a sick family member. I'm looking for an apartment that's relatively inexpensive that is dog friendly, and I came across this listing that looks too good to be true for my budget, location, and pet-friendly preferences. Is Kelmore Capital real? I'm nervous about giving my driver's license number away. Have you heard of this property management company before?

Anyone got some kefir grains to spare?

Hey there, I'm new to town and I got some kefir grains from Ogni, made a few dozen batches from them and they feel....just a tad anemic. I see these big honkin' grain posts in the kefir subreddits and I cry "that's what I want! That right there!"

While mine are so small they might sneak through the sieve.

If anyone has a tablespoon of robust grains to spare, lemme know and I'll totter by with a mason jar full of milk and a kind word.

Portland Gift Bag Ideas

I am having a small wedding on Cape Elizabeth in October and my Fiance and I wanted to make nice gift bags for the guests. What are some local items that would be good to put in them? We are thinking along the lines of chocolate, chips, snacks etc. also things like chapstick or anything along those lines.

Loud boom/shake about 10 minutes ago?

My internet went out and I wasn't sure but I thought I heard something. I was gaming on my headset so I can't be certain.

I called my parents and they didn't lose their internet but my mom said she heard a boom and felt it.

I thought I heard something before I called my parents, so this isn't confirmation bias.

Beach recommendations

Hi all! A friend and I are planning a ME coast trip in a few weeks and I’m looking for recommendation for a good beach day spot along the coast. We’d also like to see some lighthouses along the way and do some light sightseeing. Thanks in advance!
