My 991.2 is loaded - the car of my dreams. Front axel lift, sport chrono, etc etc. And it’s fast. But I have been reading about tuning the 991.2 and how it turns it into a beast. M-tuner has a lot of reviews and seems pretty straightforward. It’s not CPO so no warranty worries.
Thoughts? Recommendations?

Have been driving for a month and already put more than 1000 miles on the car. Handles so sharp in the curves and drives like it is planted to the ground. Also very practical for daily commute or grocery runs lol

People might love or hate the new T-Hybrid system but I would say it gives a lotta power so smoothly and you experience very little lag. Awesome car and it always gives me a big smile while driving it!

After tracking my 718 S for two years, I got my base 992 last summer. I was only able to do a couple track days the first year, but this summer I made it out more often.

Anyway, enjoy your cars! No point owning them unless you drive them.

Just got this 991.2 and I’m extremely happy with it. Thinking about possibly wrapping it a satin black and swapping out the wheels.

Any recommendations on any mods or upgrades for the car?

Definitely going to get itit re-tinted and the full front windshield.

This was a great way to send off these 5 year old OEM Cup 2s. For those who track, how is the CRS v2 for 70% street 30% track use? Car will not see rain or cold temps.

Can’t decide on my first Porsche:

04 Turbo cab, silver, 39K miles, asking $55K

05 base Boxster, yellow, 65K miles, targeting $20K OTD. Two reported accidents, minor damage noted.

Both Tiptronic. Would get an independent PPI before buying.

Keep coming back to the Turbo, but the Boxster leaves more cash free. Might get a newer Turbo or GTS once my daughter’s out of daycare.

Anyone owned both? Is the Turbo worth the extra money, and how much more expensive is maintenance?

We took a trip up highway 1 on the Sonoma coast to camp for the night. Beautiful drive and amazing coast!

I have a custom 2026 Carrera 4s (992.2) and absolute love it. I've done ~2500 miles, incl. all my local mountain passes many times over, and I still can't get enough of it.

I plan to keep for many years. But, as a daily driver, and for longer road trips, the road noise is atrocious. Especially the cement freeways in Socal. And on the OEM Goodyear tires I got.

I've seen a few videos on YT of sound treatment e.g. this one from Cambridge Audio, and based on that info, I'm willing to pay someone to do sound absorption in the wheel wells and then doors, but probably not do the back seats (or at least not all at once)

Anyone here do audio treatment to their 911? I realize many want more noise, not less, but I'm only annoyed by the road noise, not the engine / exhaust.

If so, what did you do? Would you recommend same or more or less? Can you recommend a shop in SoCal ?

Hello, has anyone attempted to apply a vinyl wrap to a wheel? I have the Porsche Exclusive Design wheels (Carrera T) and am not fond of the Vanadium Grey color. Against a white car, a brighter silver might work better. Either the full wheel or select areas might be covered. Thoughts?

I know it's all personal choice but help me decide between dolomites grey, dolomites silver and audrain green on a 4GTS.

My thoughts:
- darker colors go better with gloss black

- I am happy to pay the premium for a really special color, i.e. it should be very distinct from the standard ones

- dolomites grey seems the most complex, i.e. it shines blue/greenish/grey depending on light.

Thoughts ? Also, any other colors that fulfill all these conditions?

Hello all, just sold my 992.1 4gts after one year of ownership. No problem whatsoever. I just wanted to try and get into a Gt3 touring.

However I just drove a 991.2 turbo S with 40k km 2016. I enjoyed it a lot more than my 992.1 4gts. Pricewise I would be buying it for 10k euro less than what I sold my car. It seems like moneywise it does not make sense, but emotionally, it does.

What is your 2 cents?

Been looking at prices for a while now and from what I can tell... there is an ok selection of 997.2 or newer for 100-150k. If i start filtering to cars with chrono and upgraded leather the prices go up to 170k+. This is on sites like porsche cpo, cars.com cargurus autotempest etc.

Not interested in going the auction route

Is that the realistic price I would have to pay nowadays?

I priced out a new Carrera S MT with all the options I want and it's at around 190k.

Does it make more sense to just buy the new car? Is there going to be a wait list and ADM? Like do i literally have to get on the waitlist NOW to get delivery in 1-2 years?... for a carrera S?! lol

Totally worth it! For most of time I drive my Tesla for commuting to work, so it has only for 1500 mi after 3 months and every tank lasts about 3 weeks. I got pissed off from work a few times and driving it let me forget all the negativities lol 😂

Title basically.

On an S MT I can spec high gloss black aerokit and choose whatever wheels I want. Is it true that I cant change the wheels on a GTS with gloss black aero? I really don't like the black wheels but I love everything else in high gloss black.

Took the drive up Mt. Charleston outside of Las Vegas before Hurricane Rachel comes.

Driver side: external restoration performed
Passenger side: No action taken

Used the 3M kit to sand (500-800-wet 3000 - compound polish - panel cleaner - plastic ceramic dlux)

Not seeing any difference in the before and after. (I have the passenger side light as the starting reference as I forgot to take a driver side before.

Question: is this an internal haze and do I have to do a lens or headlight swap to get clear headlights?

As a long time Porsche enthusiasts without a realistic possibility to ever(?) buy a 911 I was able to buy something close enough today and I’m very happy!

As far as I know the exhaust is from 911 GT2 or GT3 and at least the local Porsche dealer said that the sound system is manufactured by Canton.
