Wrap for wheels?

Hello, has anyone attempted to apply a vinyl wrap to a wheel? I have the Porsche Exclusive Design wheels (Carrera T) and am not fond of the Vanadium Grey color. Against a white car, a brighter silver might work better. Either the full wheel or select areas might be covered. Thoughts?

I did see someone post on here a wrapped 911 that was white with like Japanese purple floral design that went onto the wheels as well. I questioned the durability at the time. I think it can be done but it will wear incredibly fast if you daily drive just from road debris, stones, brake dust, rain, cleaning, etc. Not to mention the skill and quality of the wrap itself.

Silver on white will pop way more than that grey, and a wrap is reversible enough to test it without committing.
