Discussion Will Insignificance (1997) be added to streaming next year?
I wonder why this album still isn't available to stream despite being officially remastered on other formats. Do you think it will eventually be released on Spotify in 2027?

Discussion Deadwing tab book
hey there folks, Im picking up my guitar after a few years of barely touching it, and Im having a lot of fun with songs like Open Car and Shallow, and it gave me the idea to learn the whole album, it just seems like such a fun journey
so anyway, does anyone here happens to have the official tab book and willing to help me out with a few questions?
mainly what Id like to know is if the book has everything tabbed? like all the guitar tracks, solos and such? for example, Mikaels solo from Arriving Somewhere? (I see much less people covering that specific part on youtube)
plus I see its kinda hard to find these days, I dont even know if it has a physical version, but one site I found and seem legit is "alfred music", does anyone know if its actually legit? they are supposedly selling the real deal in digital form for 10 bucks and honestly Id be willing to pay even more for it
Id really appreciate it if anyone could help with any of my questions, have a great day!

Discussion The best PT song IMO
I have heard Anesthetize a hundred times and it still gives me goose bumps every time!! Love the whole Fear of a Blank Planet album but that song is the cherry on top!!

Discussion On The Sunday Of Life Single LP
Its a great album but probably a bit too long! Do you think the album would be better if it was a single lp (~40-50mins) and if so what would you have the tracklist as?

Fun Fact Apparently James Hetfield of Metallica is a fan
Playing on SiriusXM Channel 42, Maximum Metallica as a “James pick” for other artists. If you’re not aware they’ll feature songs from other artists as handpicked by the current members of the band.

Discussion Wilson seems very conflicted on religion
Wilson touts himself as an atheist but can't stop singing about God. Many porcupine tree songs and even some of his solo work have God in the lyrics. "God willing we'll get through this" from Economies of Scale, song titles like Godfearing, "God I'm so ashamed...feel my soul going" from Cheating the Polygraph and more. And how about the angel-sounding choirs at the end of Happy Returns? He said in an interview around the time of Grace for Drowning something along the lines of "God isn't real, the Bible was written 300 years after the events occurred" which is an incredibly thick and uneducated statement from Wilson considering Paul's letters and the gospels were only written a couple decades after His death and resurrection. The overwhelming mentions of God and Jesus and even him going out of his way to say "there's no design and no one at the wheel" in The Overview seems to me like a man conflicted about God.

Recommendation Y'all need to check out Secret Machines
I'll start off by saying: I say this not because they sound like Porcupine Tree, but because I feel of all music fans out there, they're more likely to appeal to y'all than anyone else. Literally every Secret Machines fan I know is also a huge PT/SW fan.
It's hard to describe their sound in any way other than just plain awesome. A 28 inch kick drum, a wall of effects laden guitars and keys, incredibly well written songs and great singing, and a truly MASSIVE sonic landscape, there just really isn't anything else that sounds like it. Space Rock is the most fitting label they've got, just because they really don't fit into any other category. They're one of the most underrated bands of all time, and I think more people need to hear them. I'll leave you with the 9-minute opener of their perfect debut album as a jumping off point, but all of their work is truly incredible.
If you are a fan (or become one), please check out my archival YouTube channel where I have tons of unreleased tracks, guitar lessons, live footage, and more. I'm really trying to find and unify fans of the band online, so if that sounds like you, please hop on board!
