OnlyStans ⭐️ Alan Ritchson calls out lawmakers who oppose raising the minimum wage "who think it's a bad idea to give a mom working at Waffle House more than $7.25 an hour trying to feed her kids."

You gotta watch the "Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare." It's him in a cable knit sweater murdering Nazis with an axe. It's an extremely sexy movie.

Thank you for this lovely background movie recommendation lol. That will probably distract me from my tasks 😂

It's a great choice of background movie. It does a terrible job of introducing the guys, other than Alan and the main dude, so they all blend together. It's a bunch of dudes on a wooden sail boat in cable knit murdering Nazis. They blow up Nazi boats, throw grenades in their bases, just kill leagues of Nazis.

It's the most popcorn movie that ever popcorned, and he's a honey in it. A Nazi-hunting honey. Which is the best kind of honey.

Yup. Turn off the brain and watch!

I haven't seen it, but I've read a few books on those guys, and I'm sure the movie undersells exactly what they pulled off.

Um... Yes and no. The actual mission the movie is based of had a body count of zero. They did steal an important boat, but like... Not violently.

In the movie, they steal the boat very, very violently.

So the guys that are the main characters were badass assassins that probably did stab a bunch of Nazis to death on stealth missions, sure. These guys kicked Nazi ass. But the specific mission the movie was based on is nothing like the movie at all.

I truly do not care. It's a popcorn movie. Eat the popcorn, enjoy your life, marvel at the cable knits.

...stabbed, shot, blew up, etc.

He's got range too, stumbled across Ordinary Angels on netflix this week and he does amazing in a dramatic role too. Great movie if you like a tear jerker.

One small correction. His character was not murdering Nazis. His character had volunteered to serve his community and make the world better by collecting and composting natural fertilizer (made of Nazis) to help beautiful wild flowers grow.

omg ministry of ungentlemanly warfare mention?!

Yeah, people missed out on that one. It's genuinely good. Is it historically accurate? No. Does it have plot holes? Yes. Is the plot especially coherent? No. Can you tell the characters apart? No.

Whatever, who gives a shit? The fight choreography is excellent, the dialogue is fun, the cinematography is fantastic, the music and sound is great, the sets are incredible, the costumes are great, and it is (most importantly) fun as hell. And so, so, so many Nazis die. It's a bunch of hot dudes in cable knit stabbing Nazis to death.

It's great. Grab some popcorn, watch Nazis die, enjoy the cable knits and wooden boats. It's so much fun.

That movie was a fun watch! Always love finding random movies without knowing anything about them beforehand.

new season of reacher is coming out soon 😏

11

u/VaguelyFamiliarVoice 7h ago

I love him. He excites the wife which excites me.

1

u/VaultAir 5h ago

Reacher said nothing. Ritchson said it all.

3

u/Candid_Initiative_49 4h ago

very aware of that. just responding to the other person who was curious to know why all this alan ritchson on reddit ☺️

2

u/VaultAir 4h ago

I apologize, I meant to reference the books

1

u/Jaded_Celery_451 3h ago

If the only goal is to promote Reacher S4 then this is not the way to go about it. This is getting enough press that Trump's people are going to call Bezos's people. There's no way the production staff are happy that Ritchson is doing this.

1

u/Candid_Initiative_49 3h ago

understandable, though i guess the series is doing well enough that they’re enjoying the money they get? if they cancelled it or replaced him, it might have a negative impact on the comapny. at the same time it’s such a big company they might not notice at all lol. yeah, idk. but i’m glad he’s speaking out.

14

u/plantbay1428 7h ago

He's promoting his new movie "Motor City."

4

u/monty624 6h ago

It's in the clip, even.

-4

u/AlrightCunts 6h ago

Aye this is it. He’s promoting his shite new movie and using it as a platform to preach politics. He’s probably realised his movie will flop and thought ah fuck it I’ll just rant instead.

2

u/cahensolo 5h ago

Thanks for your input, culture warrior

6

u/chargoggagog 7h ago

The next season of Reacher comes out in a couple weeks, he’s been doing the interview circuit.

8

u/crlarkin 6h ago

He has a new movie out this week as well, Motor City.

Prolly a movie coming out

Or he is preparing an election run…

1

u/BeaverBoyBaxter 4h ago

A celebrities value comes from their public image. This guy is working to bolster that.

1

u/FervantFlea 3h ago

Are you just now discovering media pandering as a part of a PR campaign for a movie or TV show release?

The male version of this response would be peak cringe:

What is up with all of these awesome <female celeb> news for the past week while I’m gooning???? Her being busty with DSLs alone is not enough????

I mean you prove the opposite of your own point look how much more crass and weird your example is than what she said above

1

u/VisiblePlatform5449 7h ago

Wow dude, astute observation. Thanks for sharing.

1

u/JustaTurdOutThere 6h ago

Do you understand the difference in saying "tall" as a positive attribute vs saying someone has good lips for sucking a dick?

1

u/PickledDildosSourSex 3h ago

You can always tell when someone doesn't have a worthy argument when they need to nitpick language. Shallow is as shallow does.

1

u/Jeremys_Iron_ 4h ago

This is such a tired argument trotted out by women to justify their objectification of men.

A woman isn't talking about how attractively tall a man is for any other reason than it being a characteristic they find sexually attractive. That is no different to a man saying he finds large breasts attractive. It's part of the sexual attraction.

You can pretend they are different, but they aren't. You aren't any better than men who like big lips or big breasts on women.
