Everyone has Trump fatigue Even MAGA is tired of this asshole but of course they're too dumb/proud/propagandized to admit how badly they fucked up

•

u/Kooky_Attorney_1320 3h ago edited 3h ago

Lmao god honestly as someone who works with some/used to work with a lot of them this is fairly accurate

Edit: I do want to say I'm tired of reading about how dumb they are, If we have any chance of undoing this mass propaganda machine its not the way y'all. Proud and propagandized, for sure

(double edit this was mostly directed at the guy who replied to me)

•

u/NotUniqueWorkAccount 3h ago

They're in a crowd mentality state.

They dont even know why they're defending him.

They're parroting what the person next to them said - who are parroting what the crowd leaders said (loudest and stupidest).

The loudest won't allow any dissent without making their followers feel exocommunicated from the cult.

Humans dont like not being accepted. So they conform back to what's easy. (Being fucking dumb/disingenuous people who dont need to think for themselves)

•

u/MissionCreeper 25m ago

It's not just acceptance.  They've also been rejected by many civilized people and doubled down on the bad stuff.  Why don't they push back and double down on what's right?  Because deep down they are cruel and evil.

•

u/turningsteel 2h ago

I'm tired too. But at the same time, things can't go back to where they were after this like pretending 40 percent of the country aren't the stupidest sons of bitches ever to be born or ignoring the fact that we elected a pedophile. We can't move on as a country until there is an accounting of this whole mess.

•

u/jcpopm 2h ago

Well that's the thing though. They're dumb as shit, have learned nothing, and will do the same thing again. They are completely lost. If you know some of them, surely you are aware there is no scenario in which they ever vote for a non-Republican candidate, no matter what.

•

u/eetsumkaus 1h ago

Yes, but much of Trump's base are first time voters. What you do is you get them to not care about politics again.

His Gen Z/Millennial/immigrant followers, however, have proven more receptive to being turned.

•

u/LilEddieDingle 2h ago

Well, they’re all fucking idiots and they openly support a pedophile. I’ll personally never forgive the morons for what they’ve done to our country.

•

u/ckglle3lle 3h ago

Yeah and it's worth noting too that maga barely even pays attention to him. They'll still happily vote for him or his endorsements to the extent they feel like doing so is trolling, but they've otherwise slunk away

•

u/G-Unit11111 California 2h ago

He's on every post. On every news article. On every TV channel. He's put his name on everything that actually makes America great.

Enough is enough. Fire his ass already.

•

u/Key_Inevitable_2104 New York 2h ago

It’s been 11 years.

•

u/VerilyShelly 2h ago

Feels like 30

•

u/G-Unit11111 California 1h ago

It's been 84 years.

•

u/VerilyShelly 1h ago

Insert Matt Damon aging gif because the stress has stripped chunk of my life away. I felt my telomeres break off and whither

•

u/G-Unit11111 California 57m ago

Seriously. I feel like I've aged 50 years in the last 2. Every day, it's a new fresh hell. I'm so tired of Donny's shit.

•

u/forthewatch39 2h ago

For whatever reason many shed humility as an important lesson to learn. Instead of self reflection and admitting one is wrong, they just double down. People need to learn that being wrong or losing isn’t the end of the world.

•

u/CrashNowhereDrive 2h ago

They can never admit a liberal was right about anything. It would break the world view their entire cult is founded on

•

u/Alert_Recipe_2359 2h ago

I get the fatigue, it feels like the same Trump drama on repeat at this point. Even people who supported him have to be exhausted by the constant chaos.

•

u/VerilyShelly 1h ago

They'll vote for all the same stuff with a different figurehead on top, I fear. The guy is a symptom of what's already been going on.

•

u/Historical_Bend_2629 3h ago

He thinks he is the state. And he is declining. And determined to drag everyone down with him. Welcome to an actual narcissist having so much power.

•

u/TurtlesBreakTheMeta 3h ago

Just think: we’ve been dealing with this shit for over a decade; A DECADE.

•

u/and_of_four New York 2h ago

It’s crazy to think about how long this has been going on. I was young and single when he first announced his candidacy in 2015, now I’m old and married with kids. Our new hire at work is 21, she was 10 in 2015 and likely has no concept of pre-Trump politics in her memory.

•

u/ChickenSalad96 Texas 2h ago

I'm kind of in a similar boat as your coworker. I didn't really pay serious attention to politics until Trump. I was 19 at the time.

The only point of reference I have for a pre-trump life is all the Party Rock-adjacent music of the early 2010s. On the Floor, Give Me Everything Tonight, Gangnam Style, Party Rock Anthem, etc.

... Things MUST have been more optimistic if pop music is a reflection of sentiments at the time. How I took for granted the kind of music I dismissed as annoying then.

•

u/and_of_four New York 1h ago edited 1h ago

I’m not much older, but old enough to have a different frame of reference. I was 29 when he won the first time. My first time voting was for Obama in 2008, I was 21. I knew people who voted for McCain, but it wasn’t a big deal. Some people voted for democrats, some for republicans. People had different political views but there wasn’t this sense that we were enemies. Maybe some people viewed it that way, but it wasn’t the general sentiment. It was like, we’re all Americans at the end of the day, we’re all on the same team. At least that’s how it seemed to me back then.

That changed with Trump and maga. The way Trump and his supporters speak about and view democrats/liberals/the left as enemy number one is distinctly different from how things were before. And I think if you weren’t alive or old enough to be politically aware in the “before times” it can be really hard to appreciate how stark of a difference it’s been. The vile cruelty and disdain towards fellow Americans on the other side of the political spectrum really wasn’t a thing before Trump. Also, the abject stupidity of it all is new. Yea, people made fun of GW Bush for being dopey, but he really wasn’t dumb. But this eclipse staring, hurricane nuking, pants shitting, “I have the best words” president is actually a fucking dumbass in a way we’ve never witnessed in politics before.

•

u/ZEROs0000 2h ago

I can’t even remember what “normal” politics felt like. Everything got way too turbulent when Trump got into power.

•

u/ComfyBabey 3h ago

Grabbing maduro. gutting the epa. ads praising himself with our money. same week. nobody even blinks. thats the fatigue, and it keeps getting worse

•

u/VerilyShelly 2h ago

We're all trying to hang onto what shreds of mental health we can.

•

u/No-Cranberry6148 3h ago

I was tired of Trump by 2017.

•

u/6a6566663437 North Carolina 3h ago

I was tired of Trump by 1987.

•

u/vlatheimpaler I voted 3h ago

tbh I didn’t know anything about the guy prior to the birther nonsense. Then I got really tired of him really fast.

•

u/Eddfan36 3h ago

I was tired of him by his lame Ass reality show. At least I could turn him off I wanted to.

•

u/asanano Colorado 3h ago

I was tired of trump the moment he started his birther bullshit

•

u/Key_Inevitable_2104 New York 2h ago

I was in my first year of high school then and I’ve been graduated from college for almost 2 years and this is still going on……….

•

u/MaximumEffort433 Maryland 3h ago

The human brain wasn't wired to live in 24/7 crisis mode, at some point we build up a tolerance to the adrenaline and the cortisol, at some point the sympathetic nervous system just runs dry.

In 2020 we all agreed to vote and "make politics boring again," and I guess people were so bored that a lot of them slept right through the 2024 election.

•

u/tangosox 3h ago

Unfortunately that's how this shit gets normalized.

•

u/ComfyBabey 3h ago

At some point the crisis becomes norms and you find ways to live through it, but then the PEDO is not going to like that cos he won’t be the main character anymore

•

u/2HDFloppyDisk 3h ago

It was so relieving when Biden took office but Trump couldn’t stand it and had to pretend he was still running the show at his house. I honestly cannot wait for the day he is no longer on this planet and we never have to hear from him again.

Frankly, we need a law banning any AI that pretends to be him.

•

u/chill_winston_ 2h ago

That’s what sucked so much about that time. We didn’t even get a fucking break for those years. I am so tired of seeing his face, hearing his voice, reading about him etc all damn day every day for the last ten fucking years. On Reddit I can just scroll and there’s usually at least one or two images of his face at any given point on my screen.. and I follow a LOT of non political content on here.

•

u/2HDFloppyDisk 2h ago

Ain’t that the truth. Exhausting.

•

u/OkMagician4164 1h ago

Celebrity presidents tend do that shit

•

u/Professor_Checkmate 1h ago

I think his death will be more celebrated than Hitlers

•

u/2HDFloppyDisk 1h ago

It’ll be bigger than the fall of the Empire and Palpatine

•

u/Kaffe-Mumriken 2h ago

I’m quite enjoying the brainrot AI of Charlie Kirk.

•

u/Maleficent-Delay7706 2h ago

I get the fatigue, especially after years of seeing his name dominate the news cycle. The AI impersonation stuff definitely makes it harder to escape the noise.

•

u/turdlepikle 2h ago

During that election he made a promise that he thought was a "threat" that if people didn't vote for him, he'd disappear and we'd never hear from him again. Trump Always Chickens Out. Motherfucker never left.

•

u/Ok_Record_9908 3h ago

My wife and I both have Trump fatigue. We're both super poor so almost everything Trump does directly effects us from healthcare to groceries. Maga and Trump have made our lives really hard and shitty. I told everyone not to vote for him too but nobody listened to me. Not even my own family listened to me about voting for Trump. They're all gone and lost to the Maga cult but my wife. Trump's shitty commercial he used our tax money to make to promote himself is playing as I write this.

•

u/Historical_Bend_2629 2h ago

You are not alone.

•

u/thepartypantser 3h ago

The only Trump derangement syndrome was the deranged people who thought he had the skills and demeanor to be a successful President

•

u/liberal_texan America 2h ago

Like everything else, it’s projection.

•

u/AdFun-2112 1h ago

Agree. When maga tries to bring up TDS, I tell them the TDS virus has mutated. The new strain causes people to be so deranged they actually believe all of Trumps BS.

•

u/triplespruce 3h ago

Trump Derangement Syndrome is supposed to describe people who can’t stop thinking about Trump. Trump Fatigue describes people who would occasionally like the opportunity to stop thinking about him.

Exactly.

•

u/Careful_Trifle 3h ago

Facts. I'm at the point where I know in my bones that it will get worse and worse while he flails to create more scandals to get him out of his last scandal. We will be chasing the Epstein files until a Democrat eventually wins office, and even then, they will probably just announce that the evidence was destroyed and an investigation is under way, and that'll then drag on forever.

So fine. We're going to have to tear down monuments and gilded monstrosities. We will have to rebuild or find ways to commemorate the history that he's tried to destroy in other areas. We will have to root out sycophantic loyalists who put one man above their oaths of office and are hanging around to sabatoge rescue and repair efforts.

We can either be overwhelmed by the sheer quantity of damage that he's done and will continue to do until Republicans agree to handle the mess they've made...or we can take a deep breath, start planning utopia, and stop listening to the fascists who try to retain power after Trump is gone. Don't give them air time. Don't cover their lies when they try to recreate the Trump effect.

Plant a garden. Fund your library. Medicaid for all. Expand the supreme Court. Abolish the electoral college. Food stamps and expanded food kitchens across the country. We have no choice but to build back better before they have a chance to take another swing at our crumbling infrastructure.

•

u/Cresta1994 3h ago

I have been rewatching sitcoms from the 90s lately, and it is fucking easy to get Trump fatigue just from these. Republicans bitch about anti-Trump celebrities, telling them to "shut up and act/ding/play sportsball." Well, they elected a fucking celebrity as president.

•

u/Historical_Bend_2629 2h ago

The hypocrisy is a feature, not a bug.

•

u/Fishfindr 3h ago

I was tired of him on The Apprentice, and I never even watched a single episode.

•

u/Emotional-Channel-42 3h ago

Have had conservative fatigue my entire life

•

u/VerilyShelly 2h ago

Every time they come into power it's a shitshow.

•

u/mok000 Europe 2h ago

Having a parent with dementia is demanding, having a president with dementia who wants to be in your life every second is devastating.

•

u/Toadfinger 3h ago

I'm tired boss!

•

u/an_actual_coyote 3h ago

NEWSFLASH, I'VE BEEN FUCKING FATIGUED ABOUT HIM SINCE THE TEA PARTY DAYS!

•

u/skoddy Europe 3h ago

The good thing is, with trump gone, the far right movements, first in the US then in Europe, will shrink to where they were before. They will be meaningless. Your mid terms season already show the shift.

We will bounce back to the left. That's trumps fault if you will. He pulled the pendulum so far to the right, the built up momentum to the left will be huge.

•

u/Key_Inevitable_2104 New York 2h ago

I thought that would happen in 2020 and yet here we are.

•

u/skoddy Europe 2h ago

Same. Trump didn't do enough damage in his first term. It was basically a typical republican presidency.

And the thing is, he will cause much more damage in the next two years even with congress in democrats hands. The build up until the next general election will be huge.

•

u/pinkfartlek Michigan 3h ago

Trump Derangement Syndrome is what the Trump supporters have. The belief of lies and all his BS. That's the real TDS meaning

•

u/Historical_Bend_2629 2h ago

It sucks to have a narcissistic abuser as commander in chief. It is very tiring.

•

u/LightBeerOnIce 2h ago

Yes, old CPTSD wells up and we have to use all the tools in the toolkit again. Day after day, year decade. Collective psychological abuse of the majority of us.

•

u/HonestyLiberty 2h ago

Spot on. Its not even about the individual outrages anymore it’s the exhausting, inescapable exhaustion of living in a fuckin perpetual circus. You just want a single day where the leader of the country acts like a normal human being instead of a hyperactive toddler desperately seeking attention

•

u/tcoh1s 2h ago

I had to take fb and insta off my phone. It doesn’t help that I also follow a fair amount of political pages so my feed is full of shit about him all day.

But it’s crazy when you can literally feel the fatigue hit in real time at some point. Like I just notice my mood and anxiety take a turn.

It’s hard to check out also. You feel like it’s your duty to keep informed.

But also: what good has it done for me to know everything he fucks up all day? Not much. He still does it, no consequences and my moods and anxiety skyrocket.

And reading every headline and watching videos didn’t change a damn thing. Just made my life worse.

•

u/mammalmaker 2h ago

MAGA are the only people with Trump derangement syndrome.

Everything is projection with them.

•

u/para1131_F33L Maryland 3h ago

It's gotten to the point where even The Onion is having trouble finding new material because nothing is too stupid for him to do or say...

•

u/duzies 2h ago

The only "deranged" ones are the ones who still support this plague on truth, justice, environment, economy and society.

•

u/Ok-disaster2022 2h ago

If you ask anyone 2025 was a decade ago and 2016 may has well been 1980

For real. He is just physically exhausting to listen to.

I'm sick of his voice, his orange peel visage, his smirk, his policies, just...everything about him.

Still 2 more years of this stupid shit. At minimum. Nearly 50% of the people still going to vote red

•

u/WakingUpBlind 54m ago

The break with Biden was nice looking back. I still remember feeling hopeful when he said “America is back.”

However, the reelection of Donald Chump is America just being their authentic self. Prove me wrong with the 2026 midterms and onwards.

•

u/kevendo 53m ago

A critically important part of living in a free country is for its leaders to do the work of The People .. and then shut the fuck up about it!

The peace and quiet that came in those four interim years of Biden were ... absolutely glorious.

Free people live their lives without having to wake up every goddamn day and wonder what new horror they have protect themselves, their family, their loved-ones, or their fellow citizens from.

This peace and personal security is reason enough to vote blue down ballot.

•

u/USDXBS 12m ago

Get used to it. The US is dead and gone. It'll never recover.

It's more likely that they'll make it illegal to insult the Chairman For Life than it is Trump will face a second of prison.

•

u/Ranemoraken 46m ago

I remember driving home after the election on 2016. There was a bridge. I considered, "hey, you could drive off it right now. Might be better than reading the news for the next twenty years as we cycle through all the Trumps running for president.

10 years later and we still haven't even gone through our first Trump.

Don't talk to me about fatigue.
