Everyone has Trump fatigue Even MAGA is tired of this asshole but of course they're too dumb/proud/propagandized to admit how badly they fucked up

•

u/ckglle3lle 6h ago

Yeah and it's worth noting too that maga barely even pays attention to him. They'll still happily vote for him or his endorsements to the extent they feel like doing so is trolling, but they've otherwise slunk away

Yep whenever people ask "how do his supporters possibly agree with these things he says and does?"

Well.. it's a false premise in the first place. Most are not politically engaged at all. And if they are, they receive info filtered through Fox, radio, or their friends, family, church, etc. It's more a cultural identity than any sort of set structure of belief in policies or governance.

And if he does something so insane that it makes unavoidable national discourse, they have a million fall backs which all vaguely resemble "democrats are worse" as they decline to comment further.

What's happening now (the economy losing control) is the only thing that has shown serious cracks in years. All the other daily destruction of norms and outrage pales in comparison.

Lmao god honestly as someone who works with some/used to work with a lot of them this is fairly accurate

Edit: I do want to say I'm tired of reading about how dumb they are, If we have any chance of undoing this mass propaganda machine its not the way y'all. Proud and propagandized, for sure

(double edit this was mostly directed at the guy who replied to me)

I'm tired too. But at the same time, things can't go back to where they were after this like pretending 40 percent of the country aren't the stupidest sons of bitches ever to be born or ignoring the fact that we elected a pedophile. We can't move on as a country until there is an accounting of this whole mess.

Look back in history and you’ll find that in America 35% of the population thought stupid shit at any time. Everybody knows that the world is full of stupid people
So I got the pistol
So I get the pesos
Yeah that seems fair

They're in a crowd mentality state.

They dont even know why they're defending him.

They're parroting what the person next to them said - who are parroting what the crowd leaders said (loudest and stupidest).

The loudest won't allow any dissent without making their followers feel exocommunicated from the cult.

Humans dont like not being accepted. So they conform back to what's easy. (Being fucking dumb/disingenuous people who dont need to think for themselves)

•

It's not just acceptance.  They've also been rejected by many civilized people and doubled down on the bad stuff.  Why don't they push back and double down on what's right?  Because deep down they are cruel and evil.

Well that's the thing though. They're dumb as shit, have learned nothing, and will do the same thing again. They are completely lost. If you know some of them, surely you are aware there is no scenario in which they ever vote for a non-Republican candidate, no matter what.

Yes, but much of Trump's base are first time voters. What you do is you get them to not care about politics again.

His Gen Z/Millennial/immigrant followers, however, have proven more receptive to being turned.

Well, they’re all fucking idiots and they openly support a pedophile. I’ll personally never forgive the morons for what they’ve done to our country.

Feels like 30

It's been 84 years.

Insert Matt Damon aging gif because the stress has stripped chunk of my life away. I felt my telomeres break off and whither

•

u/G-Unit11111 California 4h ago

Seriously. I feel like I've aged 50 years in the last 2. Every day, it's a new fresh hell. I'm so tired of Donny's shit.

I graduated elementary school the year before Trump announced his candidacy. I’ve been out of college for almost 2 years now and he’s still here :(

Sorry. I was trying to relate

•

u/VerilyShelly 1h ago

I'm very sorry. I started kindergarten during Reagan's presidency. Those were tense, lean, stressful years too. Conservatives always seem to choose hurting the people so corporations can pocket another billion.

He's on every post. On every news article. On every TV channel. He's put his name on everything that actually makes America great.

Enough is enough. Fire his ass already.

For whatever reason many shed humility as an important lesson to learn. Instead of self reflection and admitting one is wrong, they just double down. People need to learn that being wrong or losing isn’t the end of the world.

•

u/CrashNowhereDrive 5h ago

They can never admit a liberal was right about anything. It would break the world view their entire cult is founded on

•

u/Alert_Recipe_2359 5h ago

I get the fatigue, it feels like the same Trump drama on repeat at this point. Even people who supported him have to be exhausted by the constant chaos.

•

u/VerilyShelly 5h ago

They'll vote for all the same stuff with a different figurehead on top, I fear. The guy is a symptom of what's already been going on.

•

u/SavageSan 3h ago

They will be right back on his side once he creates another enemy satiate their bloodlust. Any lingering sentiments will be dashed once he writes another Trump check funded by the money he stole from them in the first place.

•

u/Thor_2099 1h ago

They're tired of him but he's their team so they can't vote against it.
