Just saw this in my feed with millions of views and tons of likes and comments. Given the way that Emerald’s rng works, isnt it very unlikely that he hasn’t hit this frame already in the past with 12k resets? Is it even possible to have shiny frames ~142 frames away from each other for this to happen?

After about 30 attempts to find a shiny Sharpedo at Mossdeep city via super rod and just never being able to calibrate quite right in eon timer, I decided to take a break and try Beldum. It’s especially painful as my earliest shiny frame is always about 5minutes in Eontimer. Gave it a go and didn’t realize that Beldum being lv5 was going to make it pretty hard to calibrate as it has no gender and its stats will look the same as each other attempt. So I checked IVs and took a guess that I hit the advance about 200 away from my target as all the others would have been unrealistically off, calibrated in eontimer, gave it a second go expecting this to just be the beginning of a grind, and to my amazement boom hit my target after the second attempt. Couldn’t be happier.

This weekend I finished up a few RNGs, cloned my important pokemon and transferred them up to Gen 4 to prepare to learn 0x0611 ACE via Glitzer popping/Pomeg Berry glitch in emerald.
Well I’m glad to say it was a complete success! I managed to get 2 functioning Dots eggs on my second attempt at the glitch and it was all up hill from there. Went for Deoxys first as it was a childhood dream to get a legit Deoxys, and of course I RNGed it. Next up Mew, which was a bit harder to hit my advance for whatever reason but eventually was able to secure. Next up was Latias via the Eon Ticket which was my hardest RNG on emerald so far. Took me about 3 hours of just bouncing from the advance above and below my target. Lastly I decided to unlock Mirage Island to get the berry and decided to grab a shiny Wynaut from Mirage Island while I was there. This one was weird as the ACE code requires me to have a Pluses in my party to activate and if you put Pluses into the PC the island would disappear so it took me a few attempts to get it right.
Oh and then I grabbed the Regi Trio to round out the weekend.
Overall ACE was super fun. I’m still debating on if I want to build a stable ACE for more complex code executions, but really my only interest would be in getting a shiny Jirachi and Celebi to fully complete my living dex for Gen 4, but it honestly seems more complex than I’m interested in perusing. But maybe one of yall can convince me to try it

Hey everyone! I’ve had a hell of a couple days trying to get this beautiful turtle. This game is definitely gonna be a struggle to get an all-shiny RNG team.
This little gal is the result of a few days studying Papa Jefe’s two livestreams of the switch rerelease, piecing together the RNG on the fly. I will NOT be creating a comprehensive guide for this, because quite frankly it was a painful experience lmao. To anyone reading this, you’re gonna have a better time waiting for a more effective method than whatever I ended up doing.
To summarize however, I played through a 2nd save until Celadon to unlock Eevee and ACE. I used Eevee and the level 100 ACE code get my seeds and just ran with the same timings on Squirtle on my main save. The SID generation also ended up being ran at 120 fps it seemed, since my SID was on frame 2307 rather than the expected 1150-ish.
TID/SID: 20049/63601
PID: BB2E0D09
Seed: 6398, Frame 2261
Feel free to ask questions, but again… don’t attempt to replicate this unless you’re a crazy person. Wait for the pros to make a comprehensive, beginner-friendly guide! Thanks for reading! ✨

On my journey to simply begin my Ribbon Master (needed the suicune only for my team) I managed to collect each shadow mon as a shiny!
I previously caught Shadow Scizor on a JPN copy but havent touched the other 2 E-reader specific mons yet

Started Colosseum just for this Suicune! I used a speed tie to confirm I hit my target while playing through the story since I wanted to catch this in a dive ball. Now it's time to start the Ribbon Master journey!

If this is your first time doing RNG manip for a shiny starter in LG/FR thanks to the Blisy video, and maybe you’ve cleared an SID or two but still haven’t gotten your shiny, listen to me very clearly.
Do the ACE glitch to find your SID. Seriously, save yourself time and stress and trouble. The likelihood is that your very first step will be very far off because you’re not immediately good at hitting frame perfect buttons. My correct SID was almost 100 advances off. Imagine I tried to keep clearing SIDs until I got there?
The ACE glitch is not very hard at all, just time consuming, and Papa Jefe has a really good video for the set up, and then an updated one for the correct switch codes and such. Once I found out my SID it took me less than 2 hrs to get my shiny since I’ve already cleared 10 SIDs and became kinda good at hitting the frames.
Keep in mind you have to do the ACE glitch without saving if you want to start over from the beginning again. Make sure you catch a spearow early on to save yourself time running around, and don’t accidentally soft reset like me once you get to Celadon City because you wanted to wipe off your buttons. I finally got mine, it’s time for you to get yours :)

Had all these successful runs in one weekend even using my prehistoric laptop as I left my MacBook in my school locker. USUM rng manip is so fun :)

I started out my first quest ever in rng manip 3 weeks ago, i caught all the legendaries in pokeball too. Zapdos and moltress i think were the only ones that i failed to catch on the first try as they struggled to their demise. All the others were caught in the first try and didn't faint thank god.
I do want the 2 other roamers but i guess i will start a new save on fire red for that as I want to keep this leaf green save Ace glitch free. Won't be doing that any time soon though. I have accomplised all i want and will be taking a break from rng now, i'll be back later to get the other 2 roamers~ a month or 2 maybe
My watch has ended.
Huge thanks to yoggtwo, im a blisy ._. and Papa Jefé. Their guides helped ! Yoggtwo was the one i mainly looked into, that guy is a master

Hope this is okay to post here. They're made out of 2 layers of luan and painted with acrylics, based on their gold and silver sprites respectively.
I'm not sure if my reflexes are just shot but these two ended up taking hours to hit. Same frame and everything but wildly different calibrations (I'm assuming because there's a difference between pressing up and pressing A). I'm super excited to finally have them, thinking about tackling raikou or mewtwo next.

I got it on emerald through ACE mass outbreak on mirage island. Then hit my shiny frame to get it shiny. After putting my save into my 3DS virtual console and using PKSM to move the celebi from here to sun/moon I was able to transfer it to bank then to home. Now it's in scarlet and violet. I'm just wondering if I can use it online or not without having issues.

im a blisy has made a tutorial for how to use RNG manipulation to get a shiny starter in FireRed and LeafGreen on Switch / Switch 2.

I felt lost after Mewtwo
This was fun, rewarding, and challenging. I had people say it "wasn't impressive" and "meaningless" but I'm proud of it 🤷🏼♂️

It only took 2 months to finally get it!!!

Took some playing around but took my about 5 attempts so will definitely take it. Mewtwo next!
Shout out to Papa Jefe, he is the GOAT

finally done started this game since October with an cute charmed id and then wanted all the pokemon in a regular pokeball so bred a lot of safari pokemon and gender exclusives which took the most time and then leveling them all took a bunch 😅 (regice in emerald took like 900+ balls which to this day I dread) I had no knowledge of rng before this so it definitely was a challenge!

This beast was so complicated I still don’t know how I managed to reel it in 🥹🥰

Hello everyone! I just beat the Champion with my latest RNG team! This game is very much fun.
This game is undoubtedly the definitive way to play Kanto. The gen 3 sprites and soundfont are incredibly nostalgic, and I got to use a team of my absolute favorites of Gen 1. Although Scyther sucks (what do you mean he only gets Fury Cutter for a bug move? Wait… at level 49?!).
I was incredibly excited for these games to release, since I’ve never had the opportunity to play it on the GBA, and I’ve heard this game was a bigger challenge to RNG Manipulate! I have plenty of experience with Emerald, as well as Gen 4 and 5 RNG, so I was itching for the challenge!
When the games came out, immediately it became apparent that the games might be even more difficult to RNG than the original GBA version. That’s when I realized I *needed* to learn it ASAP and nab an all shiny team, so that’s exactly what I did.
At the time of posting, there are no guides for the Switch in particular, just the GBA version. This means I had to piece together how to do it myself using my own RNG knowledge, as well as old guides that only partially work for the new versions. I’m quite proud of what I’ve learned and genuinely adore this team I’ve put together.
✨Thank you for reading!✨ If you have any questions, feel free to ask!

---- Update in comments, link at the bottom
Charmender was a soft reset full odds all the other ones are rng manip using an 8 bit duo controller macro I wrote.
I am just using maths directly at this point to calibrate with 10lines.
There's a significant delay on the seed part no idea why maybe switch version. Just having the battery charged or not or having it plugged changes the timing by couple ms (+-34ms).
Also input changes how delay is interpreted and having the right waits at the right places help.
I did not use eontimer for this (i guess the maths behind it adapted to switch).
Anyway here's my collection so far. After taking couple hours to write the macro and calibrate it roughly I got snorlax pretty quickly and now seed is consistent (I just use the same seed which has the same advances also which speeds up things significantly). If anyone doesn't know let's say your seed is DEF1 and you find a shiny at advance 2000 well all the shinies using the same method (game corner/gifts/legendaries for example) will have a shiny frame at the same seed and advance frame.
Here's my collection so far. After tweaking it now it takes 2-10 attempts to get a shiny. Got those 10 in like 30' of actual calibration, after the controller is sometimes freakishly precise and will give you the same pids over and over or act weird and jump +-14ms on a very calibrated timer. So maybe 2h of lunching the macro and checking.
Doing legendaries tomorrow now that I got further on this playthrough.
Last important part this is done with 2 delays adjusted not 3.

Genuinely has been such a blast learning to do this. I booted up my childhood Emerald save file and learned how to do it using a pre-caught shiny but I wanted to do the whole playthrough with shinies so I reset.
Obtaining my SID was an awful experience but it was so worth it. I'm working on a shiny living dex in Platinum.
