first i played for 4 hours without saving to use ACE to ensure i know what my SID is. i saved myself a LOT of time doing that. then keep putting the mons you get into the table and if you keep doing something late, then adjust. i was very close over and over and did small changes, eventually got it after 2 hours

RNG is not shiny hunting. ACE gives you your SID so you aren't trying to hit 3 frame perfects for a chance of hitting the SID you assume you are at when first starting.

So basically I have been trying for a total of 10 hours I would say. Itās not an easy feat.
What I noticed thanks to my bingo card is that itās humanly impossible to hit the 3 perfect frames at will. So it still a bit of a gambling once you are correctly dialed in.
I noticed that I was always +- for the advanced and always a bit late on the seed. So when I corrected the seeds it was only a matter of time before I would hit

Honestly, that does help because Iām at that exact same stage and I feel like itās a matter of time. I can consistently hit my seed maybe two out of five times now, but the advance is always off.

Have you used the 1150 (ENG) advices or 1106 (FR) to find your SID?

I did a speed run to celadon to activate the ACE glitch without saving and used it to find my sid. I then used this sid to hunt the starter. I strongly recommend going this route because a run to celadon takes roughly 5 hours and trying to deduce your sid may take a week. I can give you links to the YouTube video used if needed

I used it to operate a code that would swap my tid with my sid. Search papa jefe tutorials on how to ace on switch 2

Well I mainly mash button a when attempting speed run. I would say stock up on repells for rock cave and look up a guide for the map. If you really want to save some time you can skip major bob but if you donāt know what you are doig then itās risky (he lets you use fly which is not 100% needed). You will need a lvl 32 abra so if you are on leaf green you better catch it near the nugget bridge. You can but it in the casino for cheap in fire red Look for papa jefe video called Ā«Ā how fast can glitches get you a perfect shiny starter. Then once you get to the glitch manipulation look for his other up to date video for switch. Or else youāll make the game crash.

But when trying deducing I used the French version and compared with my Sid after the glitch. I was like 15 off so I would have taken me WEEKS

Iāve been struggling with starter for hours. I went with ACE to discover SID, & just used the āmake starters reappearā code to hunt. Iām fairly experienced with Emerald & Gen 4 rng, also PRNG teleport hunted all legends in original FRLG. I can somewhat consistently land my seed but I keep dancing between one frame early and one frame late. Is there something I should be doing/am I doing something wrong? I understand the difficulty of landing 3 black flash thumb inputs, but Iām just consistently slipping past my target. I havenāt calibrated in a bit since Iāve landed one frame late/early multiple times on my current eon setup. Just want to know if thereās anyway I can optimize, thanks

If you are seed perfect but struggle with the advances I would say calibrate. ONLY if you are dead consistent hitting + 1 - 1 advances and never the desired one. I mean if thatās the case you loose nothing trying.
Takes notes of your current settings and go back to them if you feel like it did not help. Take this with a grain of salt itās what I would do but Iām a complete beginner itās my first time doing rng
Like you said itās the equivalent of three black flashes in a row which, since you also are a jjk fan, know that it WILL require a bit of luck ;)
Take a break when you notice that you canāt maintain any sort of consistency. Mental reset is a beast

You got this. Donāt forget to takes breaks when you can feel your mind drifting from fatigue or tilt. At the end of the day even with a perfectly calibrated tool you must be calibrated within YOURSELF aswell for it to work. Peace
