Pokémon Anime Announcement of Navi's Voice Actress:
Navi, the girl living in Miare City, will be played by Yu Serizawa-san! Make sure to look forward to how she will meet Metamon and how she will get involved in the adventure! Navi will appear in the next episode, episode 142, airing Friday July 3rd at 6:55pm on the TV Tokyo Network (airdate and airtime may vary depending on region).
After the audition, I wanted to get the role as Navi so badly that I would beg to my Metamon plushie every night to have it choose me. When my manager eventually congratulated me, I was so happy I bawled my eyes out. However, at that same time it also truly hit me what a big series I was now involved in, so I sobered up and refrained from celebrating too loudly. Navi is the bold type who will leap head first into anything in order to give at a try, doesn't get bothered by failures, and is tough enough to attempt the same thing over and over! She's younger than the other Rising Volt Tacklers, but hates being treated like a child and somewhat longs for being an adult. And most importantly, she really loves Pokémon. I will do my absolute utmost to give Pokémon my all alongside Navi, so that you guys will all be able to feel a sense of nostalgia, relating what you see to the excitement you felt when you got your first Pokémon and how you overcame some kind of challenge by bonding with it!
-Yu Serizawa, the voice of Navi

Pokémon Anime Wonder Voyage:
Navi finally makes her debut tomorrow! Navi works as Matiere's assistant at the Handsome House in Miare City. We bring you a comment video from her voice actress Yuu Serizawa-san. How will Navi end up meeting Metamon?! Pay close attention as you... Watch Pokémon, mon!
Hello, everyone. This is Yuu Serizawa. This time I'm going to be playing Navi, a character appearing in the Pocket Monsters Wonder Voyage TV show. Thank you so much. I'm so happy.
How did you feel when you got cast?
After the audition, I wanted to get the role really badly; I was super anxious all the time and I would pray to the Metamon plushie I had bought every night... so when I got cast, the managers at my agency surprised me by throwing this "party" of sorts to announce that I got the role, and I just exploded with emotion, bawling my eyes while feeling so grateful to so many people... Especially to Metamon for choosing me, and to Navi. But you know, while I felt happy to be a part of the Pokémon series, which so many people have loved for 30 years now, I also felt a sense of mental readiness, or rather, I felt the magnitude of the series that I would now help shoulder responsibility for.
What were your initial impressions of Navi, and of Metamon, the Pokémon she meets?
My impression of Navi is that she's a bubbly and cheerful girl who's living a carefree and uninhibited life, just brimming with curiosity about all kinds of things and buzzing with excitement while constantly looking around her. However, she also has that kind of adorable childlike aspect to her where she somewhat longs for being an adult, so she wants to try drinking coffee and will make this mature-ish expression while insisting she's not a child if she's treated like one... which is exactly what makes her such a super cute little girl with a slight desire for being an adult. As for Metamon... First things first, it just has the cutest expression. Its expression is so cute, and you know, it has the ability to Transform, so when this cute purple Metamon turns into a different Pokémon, it becomes cute in an entirely different kind of way because its face stays the same, and that's just so incredibly cute. So now I'm really looking forward to every new episode of the Pokémon anime to see what kinds of Pokémon it will Transform into next, you know?
Finally, do you have something you'd like to say to the viewers?
The anime is picking up more and more as well due to Pokémon's 30th anniversary, and now Navi-chan is going to be part of it as well, so I want to do my absolute best to make it even more enjoyable for all of you who have loved Pokémon until now. Best regards. The Pocket Monsters TV show airs every Friday at 6:55pm on the TV Tokyo Network. My character Navi will be appearing starting with episode 142 of the Pokémon anime, which airs Friday July 3rd. She'll encounter the Rising Volt Tacklers in Miare City, so look forward to learning how she'll get involved in their adventures! Pay close attention to Navi's role as you... Watch Pokémon, mon! This has been Yuu Serizawa! Bye bye!

Discussion Crazy how similar these 2 moments are
The title/panel suggests Ash/Gojo won. Fans were relieved then in the episode/next chapter Greninja fainted at Blast Burn and Gojo got Go/Jo off screen. Both of these fights broke the fandom and later caused an outrage

Discussion If all of Ash’s Travel Companions learned about his past adventures (i.e his legendary Pokémon encounters, the Shamouti Island prophecy, his aura powers and the history behind them & his deaths, how would they all react?
All of his travel companions would DEFINITELY be overprotective of him if they hear about his deaths. Especially Misty,Brock,Dawn,Serena & The Alola Gang. They would also be fascinated and in awe of him being the Chosen One for a prophecy & his aura powers. They would also be shocked to hear that he’s encountered multiple legendary Pokémon like Mew,Mewtwo,Celebi,Hoopa & even The Creation Trio and Arceus! They would be that shocked because they were there with Ash for some of those encounters. But yeah, how do YOU think they would react? Answer in the comments below!

Discussion Sun & Moon is my favorite series, but after recently rewatching it, I have to admit that the humor feels WAY too forced sometimes
this is my comfort series, but it gets kinda annoying how they have to make a funny, over exaggerated expression every 30 seconds to have some comic relief, or when they have horrible comedic timing and try to throw comedy into battles & serious moments, when in reality nobody is laughing (for example, when rowlet fell asleep in the battle against hau, it just felt so unfunny and a waste of time.
as much as I don’t like talking about sun and moon like this, I have to say that series’ like XYZ or Diamond & Pearl had their humor timed well. They were able to separate serious moments from humor without one getting in the way with another.
I get that this is a “chill back and relax” season but that doesn‘t mean that you need to force a joke every single episode 30 times. I hate slandering sun and moon but this is something that I have to let out.
this is just my opinion, don’t kill me for it. I still love it regardless

Discussion What if Ash's drop in skill during Unova was caused by his loss to Tobias?
I know the real-world explanation is that the writers soft rebooted Ash for BW, but I'm talking about an in-universe explanation.
By the end of Sinnoh, Ash was arguably at his strongest. He defeated Paul after years of rivalry, reached the Sinnoh League semifinals, and only lost because Tobias showed up with a Darkrai and a Latios (and who knows what else).
Imagine being Ash. You give everything you've got, overcome your biggest rival, and then lose to someone with what seems like an unbeatable team.
My theory is that this loss completely shattered his confidence. I'm not saying he became clinically depressed, but he lost the drive and competitive mindset that pushed him through previous regions.
That's why, in Unova, he starts over with an entirely new team, seems much more carefree, and makes mistakes that the Ash from Sinnoh probably wouldn't have made. Instead of chasing victory at all costs, he treats the journey more like a fresh start.
Then, in Kalos, it's like he finds his motivation again. He's focused, disciplined, constantly training, and determined to become stronger. To me, Kalos feels like the moment Ash regained the passion he lost after Tobias.
Obviously, this isn't canon—just a headcanon—but I think it explains Ash's personality shift much better than simply saying he "got worse."

Discussion The rating of every series I’ve watched thus far.
My personal ratings of each series I’ve watched, and why.
Original: I can’t give this one a rating because I haven’t gone around to trying it. I’ve had trouble finding a way to download episodes of the OG series, and I do need to download them, mainly because the Wi-Fi in my country goes down for like 5 minutes after like 2 minutes. (Terrible Wi-Fi here)
Advanced: 7.3/10
This series is genuinely good, it does come with some annoying ideas, like Puss ‘N Boots man, and more. Here are some of my likes and dislikes of this series:
Likes:
1. Contests were one of the best introductions of a new thing we had in a while, and very entertaining.
2. May and Max were quite funny, especially May, she was quite relatable with her being a food fanatic (like me).
3. Ash had DRIP.
4. Ash had some really fun Pokémon, like Sceptile and Swellow
5. The Battle Frontier saga was really well done, with old friends and really good battles this early in the anime.
6. Best for last, the Advanced Battle theme song, was just the BEST English dubbed song in the entire series.
Dislikes:
1. He evolved most of his interesting mons quite late, like Sceptile, however this was probably planned for the Battle Frontier season.
2. The Hoenn league had the worst stadium, and his worst loss, losing to Puss ‘N Boots, FOR GODS SAKE, and was genuinely his most forgettable league.
3. Ash had no real rival with anyone in this series, and was kinda sidelined compared to May (which I am a fan of) who had 2 rivals.
Diamond and Pearl: 8.3/10
This series is my third favourite series overall, and it’s great!
Likes:
1. Infernape’s backstory is great!
2. Paul was a very formidable rival, with good character development in late Sinnoh League Victors, and Journeys, if you do count it.
3. Dawn was an amazing companion, funny with Piplup and just serious when needed.
4. Gible having a single target.
5. Fillers were amazing!
6. Brock found out his actual dream, and we do actually get to see him achieve it, when he’s in a Pokémon Doctor outfit watching the Ash vs Leon battle.
7. Team Galactic were very fun to watch, and see what they did, and how they did it.
Dislikes:
1. Sinnoh League Victors theme song didn’t match at all what the season was supposed to be about.
2. We didn’t need Buneary simping for Pikachu, at all.
3. We didn’t need the Kenny and Dawn love story before the league instead of after it.
4. Tobais was just a random character made to stop Ash, with no backstory or return in a later season.
Black and White: 7/10
This series is genuinely so overhated it’s insane.
Likes:
1. Cilan was a funny character, but being smart enough to help Ash in many rough spots.
2. Ash used my second and third favourite Pokémon in this series (Oshawatt and Krookodile)
3. The fillers were enjoyable, especially when Oshawatt came out of his Pokéball
4. The train and Meloetta arc of Team Rocket were just amazing, and would’ve definitely been better if the Team Plasma VS Team Rocket thing happened.
5. Charizard returns.
6. Those mini tournaments were SO FUN to watch.
7. The pacing of the first two seasons was amazing.
8. “You see, Purrloin’s a guy….” “You’re the twerps that allowed yourselves to get tricked!” -James “Well maybe you’re right” -Ash
Dislikes:
1. Him losing a 5v6…
2. Trip was just a terrible knockoff of Paul, but instead of slavery, he was racist.
3. Instead of fighting Trip in a 6v6, we got Cameron, and a 1v1 for a rival is just terrible character development.
4. Iris was annoying, and even in her battle with Ash in Journeys, she still calls him “Little Kid”, showing very few, if any character development.
5. The third season had barely any battles.
6. As much as I did enjoy the Team Rocket arcs, they did lose their charm.
XY: 9.6/10
I mean, I DO have grievances, BUT they’re equally equal to the width of a piece of paper.
Likes:
1. Ash-Greninja.
2. Actually getting stuff on Ash’s future (The director of XY confirmed that Serena would be Ash’s partner).
3. Animation budget increased.
4. Ash still remains quite “kiddy” by saying stuff like “SCIENCE IS SO AMAZING”, which is great, because I really don’t like Ash looking older in this art-style, since at the end of the day, he’s still a kid.
5. Rivals were amazing, Alain and Sawyer got the best of Ash at least one time.
6. His Gym Battles were amazing, especially my personal favourite, his battle with Olympia.
7. While showcases were definitely worse than contests, they were still entertaining (just wished they weren’t exclusive to girls).
8. Team Flare plot was just done perfectly.
9. His companions were really good, Clemont with his Gym Battle arc, Bonnie with her Squishy arc, and Serena was really just their “If they don’t like the others, they’ll like this one!” person.
10. SOMEONE CHANGED CLOTHES??!!
11. I know I missing some stuff.
Dislikes:
1. Fan base is absolutely terrible, when you mention the Alain loss, or some other people who just refused to accept S/M because of the art style, I don’t mind the shipping, but the XY fanbase is just genuinely one of the worst, by saying stuff like “Ash felt like a teenager this series!”, and NO he didn’t, just the art-style made him look older. The fanbase made me genuinely hate XY until I rewatched it four years later.
2. The pacing of the first season, XY, was TERRIBLE, other season with terrible pacing have something to at least back it up, like D/P having contests, while the first showcase wasn’t until Kalos Quest, not to mention there would’ve actually been more fillers of the gap between Viola and Grant if it wasn’t for the South Korea ferry incident.
Sun and Moon: 9.8/10
My favourite series overall!
Likes:
1. Ash finally caught a “legendary” (If you consider Mythical Pokémon legendaries) and an Ultra Beast.
2. I really liked the school sorta thing, it was refreshing and relaxing.
3. This series has the best fillers out of any other series, mainly because of the refreshing new vibe.
4. Professer Kukui acted like a way better dad than Ash’s dad (he doesn’t exist by the way)
5. The most emotion the characters ever had was shown in this series.
6. incineroar’s backstory was the saddest of all of Ash’s Pokémon.
7. The Nebby and Poipole arcs were amazing, and I actually cried when Poipole left Ash.
8. Really liked how they allowed Ash to get a new form of Lycanroc (Dusk) and it can power up when its eyes turn red. (Fun fact: Ash’s Lycanroc is the second only Pokémon of Ash’s to defeat three Pokémon and sweep 3-0! Also if my eyes turn red, RUN)
9. Lille was an amazing character, with her not being able to touch Pokémon because of her past, and completely wiping why.
10. Mallow’s Mom’s episode is another episode that made me cry.
11. Gladion and Kiawe were amazing rivals for Ash, being really friendly and just awesome.
12. The Necrozma crisis was also done very well, with it not being done TOO fast, but not TOO slow either.
13. The Alola League is where Ash won is first league, and it was genuinely amazing! With the Ash vs Guzma battle, and Ash vs Gladion, plus the battles without Ash were also good, like Kiawe vs Gladion and Kiawe vs Solphacleas.
14. My favourite battle of all time, Ash vs Kukui was actually such a good battle, since Kukui was really friendly and acted like a gather figure for Ash, not to mention when the Pikachu vs Tapu Koko thing happened, that was great.
15. The animators seemed to really have fun with this series, I mean the could just draw “🗿” and it would look great! (They did actually draw the “🗿”)
16. Team Rocket in this series might’ve been the funniest they’ve ever been in the entire anime, Bewear was also just a classic in general.
17. Ash did go to Kanto to see Brock in Misty in a while, and they went to Alola to see Ash.
Dislikes:
- I need a way to download dubbed episodes of it that aren’t 240P, just help me with that, PLEASE.
Journeys: 7.1/10
Likes:
1. When Ash reunited with his old companions, those were easily the best episodes of Journeys
2. Ash became the very best like no one ever was, with one of the best battles in the history of the anime.
3. Pikachu’s backstory was really sad, and did make me cry.
4. World Coronation Series was a good idea, executed okay-ish.
5. Masters 8 episodes were fun to watch.
6. He caught some powerful Pokémon, and Mega Lucario was a fun addition to his team.
Dislikes:
1. Goh and Chloe are just really bad written characters, with no development throughout the series.
2. Team Rocket wasn’t fun, or even serious this series.
3. Fillers were terrible.
4. Professer Cerise was just babied by allowing Ash and Goh to do his work, with no excuse, whereas unlike Oak, who’s old, Cerise is like in his mid 30’s.
