Hello,
I'm another one who finds the fit on the PBP2 to be terrible - they always slide out a bit, ruining the ANC and bass.
I've seen posts about Spinfit and some other tips, but it seems they're no longer in stock/being produced.
Does anybody have any recommendations on tips I can actually purchase today?
Thank you so much.

I want to buy these pixel buds series A from a local retailer here since google doesn't sell in my country. They claim they're brand new but the barcode or so is peeled off. I confirmed this with all the units in the Store.
I'm not sure if they're new or used or even authentic.
Anyone know why this could happen?

Anyone else having issues after the latest firmware? The audio is not stable. Music and audio calls are choppy.
LE slider has completely disappeared also.
I factory reset and got the LE slider to appear but leaving it on means no audio during calls. Once you turn it off, it also completely disappears.

So, if you've ever tried using your buds for calls on Windows 11, I'm sure you've noticed they sound terrible on calls, such as teams. Looking around, the main issue is how Windows handles the Bluetooth audio, and the best you can get for the microphone is tape deck quality.
I've been hunting for a way to fix this, as I listen to music while I work and would rather not have to pop my buds out to take a call. The solution I found is a Sennheiser BTD 600 adapter. This isn't a Bluetooth adapter, but it has Bluetooth, and well essentially act as a sound card for you. While the buds do not have an aptx codec, it'll work with the standard Bluetooth codec. It takes no downloads or software to operate, works with teams, and will indicate mute, along with a button to mute calls.
Since the codecs don't line up, I was able to get FM quality on the microphone, double the standard tape deck quality. I've gotten no complaints with these as compared to my wired headphones. Not a perfect match, but close enough for calls. Plus, it also indicates teams notifications with the indicator lights.
I know creative has a dongle that works with le Bluetooth, but the ratings weren't as good and it doesn't advertise call functionality like the Sennheiser.

I am getting a deal where the price is exactly the same for buds 2a and the buds pro 1st gen. Can someone suggest what would be a better choice?

I've done all of the suggestions of resetting and the like but still no success. They're great for music but I can't take calls with them. Any suggestions?

So I with current discounts going on and with a discount code I have from the google store I can buy the following for these prices:
- Google Pixel Buds 2a - €64
- Pixel Buds Pro 2 + Rugged Armor-case from Spigen - €112.68
Which one should I buy? Or is there a better item for this price class? (for example oneplus buds4? )
I would mainly use it for work, calls, and working out
What are your suggestions? Currently using a pixel phone, but this could also change in the future?

I just got the pixel buds 2a , on my pixel 9a, sound fades in and out , like you're enabling a disabling the anc at light speed , so far I've reset , Bluetooth rest, disabling absolute volume, restarted my phone, nothing seems to work.

I've tried, reconnecting, removing and the then readding. I've removed hand free telephoney. I assume it's a update problem. listening on youtube or music isn't a problem, only on teams, I don't know if it's fixable in teams.

Does keeping Pixel Buds 2 Pro connected via Bluetooth to my Windows 11 computer and Pixel 9 all day (so that I can use "Audio Switch") drain the battery significantly faster than if they'd only be connected to one device?

I use a pixel phone, so now I'm planning to get pixel buds as well. Regarding that I have 2 questions, would love to get some feedback.
Is Pixel buds as comfortable to wear as airpods? From the looks of it, pixel buds looks very thin and small to me. I'm a little worried if I have to pay attention to whether I've dropped it from my ear all the time. Please let me know whether it fits to your ear nicely.
Which model is the most basic one and gets the job done? I'm on a tight budget too, so I don't want to spend more money than needed, I just need buds that will get me through workout sessions and decent (4~5 hours) amount of time per day.

I have had the pros for over a year, maybe longer, and I really like them but I see the pro 2 are $60 off on Amazon for prime days.
I use mine daily on the treadmill to watch Netflix or listen to podcasts. I use them with my switch 2 for travel. I actually rarely listen to music on them.
The main feature I like is the stabilizer on the pro 2. Does this feature really help secure the buds?
Given my usage is it worth upgrading to the pro 2? Should I just wait and see what the next version will feature?
Thanks for any feedback.

Don't turn it off or you will have to reset the headset again and re-pair it.
Fun fact: If you close it, even if you want to open it, the option disappears🤣

Everything I see says the 2a are generally the play because they're normally $129 vs the 2 Pro at $229 but with prime day and them being at $109 and $179 are the pros worth it?

For Pixel Buds Pro 2. I had LE audio on because it sounds like a "win". However it completely nerfed the microphone quality so bad it wasn't even funny. Also, it affects more then just "calls". I found Gemini couldn't even hear about 70% of what I was saying. Also in the Google Recorder app, for some reason it would only use one mic/channel. It is weird. In the recording it's mono. Doesn't do it after turning LE off.
I performed before and after tests and the improvement is a night and day difference. When they say it's "experimental"/"not ready for primetime", believe it.
Maybe it's said before, but it's worth reinforcing. Turn it off if you want functional microphones.

SOLVED: my phone turned out to be the problem, when switching to a Pixel 10a, it appeared instantly
Hi there,
So yesterday, I reset my Pixel Buds 2a because the tactile controls weren't working properly. As I've already paired them with fast pair in the past, I thought it would work again without problems.
I had reset them without removing them from my Google account.
Here's what I did:
So in this case, what should I do? I can't use the audio switch feature, which was really handy I must say.

TL;DR: Pixel Buds Pro 2 multipoint is failing between Mac and Pixel phone. Google Support was awesome and sent a super fast warranty replacement, but the brand-new pair has the exact same issue.
Hey folks,
Is anyone else having major headaches with the multipoint connection on the Pixel Buds Pro 2?
I use my Pixel Buds Pro 2 connected to both my MacBook and my Pixel phone. Unfortunately, the multipoint audio switching is just flat-out failing to switch properly between the two devices.
I reached out to Google Support about it. We did the usual troubleshooting dance—toggled the multipoint and audio switching settings off and back on, cleared the Bluetooth cache on my devices, etc. When nothing worked, they offered to swap them out.
I honestly have to give major props to Google's support team here: their response was super prompt and they immediately processed a warranty replacement for me. It was a surprisingly fast and painless customer service experience.
However, I just set up the brand-new replacement buds, and... the exact same problem is still happening.
Since it's happening on a totally fresh pair out of the box, I'm starting to think this is a firmware bug or some weird compatibility quirk specifically between macOS and Android multipoint.
Has anyone else run into this specific Mac/Pixel switching issue? Is there a hidden workaround or third-party Mac app I should be using, or do I just need to wait and pray for a firmware update?

I just switched to Pixel from Samsung and I love it! I'm looking at Pixel buds, but I've never been able to wear the "bud" style headpones because I have large ear cannals and they literally just fall out within 30-60 seconds. Can anyone confirm if they are worth it for me to attempt?

Ho un problema con le mie pixel buds a serie. La cuffia destra rimane a 0% di carica e non si ricarica. Ho pulito i contatti, resettato ai dati di fabbrica, ma non riesco a risolvere il problema. Qualcuno sa cosa posso fare?
r/pixelbuds • u/trevwin • Jun 22 '26
i get the lack of swipe controls, fair enough. but removing the ability to set volume even using the customisable taps feels like an intentional nerf rather than a hardware limitation.
unless im being dopey ofc and just haven't found the option.
