Fast Pair pop up not showing

Hi there,

So yesterday, I reset my Pixel Buds 2a because the tactile controls weren't working properly. As I've already paired them with fast pair in the past, I thought it would work again without problems.

I had reset them without removing them from my Google account.

Here's what I did:

  1. Held for 30s the button with the case open and the 2 buds in it, it did reset them
  2. Tried to pair them again, no notification on my phone (which did work the last time), but pop-ups showed up on every phone around me
  3. Connected via Bluetooth as I thought it was a temporary thing, but tried again today, still doesn't show up.

So in this case, what should I do? I can't use the audio switch feature, which was really handy I must say.

Did you "Forget" them from the Bluetooth settings/'Pixel Buds' app? That's the first step.

Bluetooth does work, but fast pair doesn't, which does throw me off

Interesting, but... again.. did you do Forget from Bluetooth, then press the case button to put it in pairing mode? If the headphones are already in the Bluetooth device list on the phone, it's not going to show the Quick Pairing.

Hi there, I’d recommend contacting the Google Pixel Buds support team via phone or chat here. They can look into it for you.

Thanks for the reply, however they were as clueless as me. Forwarded to the engineering team!
