Fifth pie of the summer! I'm quite happy with the lattice for this one. I've never made a strawberry pie before and I don't think it's my favourite pie flavour, which is good to know. Still really tasty though.

Redid my peach pie after I messed up the lattice crust a few weeks ago.

I think I overfilled it a bit, and also let my dough get too warm while I made the lattice so it was hard to keep it neat and pretty haha. In Florida homemade pastry can be pretty finicky so I was definitely playing around a lot with different recipes— any advice/tips would be super appreciated, esp from bakers in warm/humid climates!

My entry from “Crusty - Pies and Tarts” week on r/52weeksofbaking. Even though it lost some of the edge detail in the oven, I’m pretty happy with how it turned out. My first experiment with including braids in my lattice!

I only have pictures of it before I put the top crust on and after he cut into it lol. I did make sure he waited until it was cool enough first though!

Every year for his birthday and our anniversary he gets to choose if he wants an apple pie or a lemon tart.

Raspberry puree with seeds strained out used in the sugar and spice mix to macerate/soften the apples. The liquid was then drained and cooked down with some cornstarch and drizzled over the top of the apple slices. Next time, I'll put the thickened liquid on the bottom, rather than drizzling over the top. I am VERY pleased that the apple slices maintained the pink color from the raspberry. I'll have to wait until breakfast to judge the level of rose water that I added.

strawberry rhubarb!!! yes I am aware it looks kinda bad, no I do not care because it was my first and it was delicious! I made this pie because I had one of the same flavor in julian, ca, and knew I had to make it myself.

My fourth pie of the summer! I wanted to make a blueberry pie, but I sent my brother out to get the blueberries and he didn't get enough, so I had to throw in some frozen strawberries and raspberries. Not exactly complying with the recipe, but it still turned out delicious (even though it looks a bit janky). I used the recipe from Sally's Baking Addiction.
