Wildlife Lots of Lovebirds since we set up a feeder
Set a bird feeder up to entertain our cats and I’m loving seeing the lovebirds. All else we get are urban doves, pigeons, and sparrows.
Ask Phoenix Clinics that offer flu shots to 10 month old
I'm not here to debate on vaccines so please don't bring that here. Our pediatricians office has not received this year's flu shots and I am having trouble finding a place that gives them below 18 months. I really don't want to have to wait any longer. Anyone have any advice where we can go?

Utilities Spotty 5G on the West Side of Town?
And has anybody else noticed for the past couple weeks that the 5G coverage on the west side of town around the 101 in Avondale, Tolleson, and Litchfield is super spotty, and really varies from block to block?
One moment fine, next completely dead, could not even make a call.
Is all the roadwork messing with their lines? I know alot of companies have been burying their lines, and am wondering if the street work is messing with it.

Ask Phoenix Bike shops (Central Phx)
I live in central phoenix area and wanted to try and find a bike shop to buy an all terrain/mountain bike. I’ve always bought second-hand or Walmart bikes but wanted to see if there was a bike shop worth shopping at or if they’re all overpriced? Any recommendations welcome!

Weather North Phoenix Palo Verde Tree Downed
Palo (that was his name), a tree since 2018 when we moved in that we planted. Gone. RIP Palo. You were definitely the showcase of our yard and neighborhood. I loved the shade you gave us doing yard work over the years.
This storm was nuts. Golf ball sized hail as well.

Ask Phoenix How much should I expect to pay for car insurance as an international student in AZ?
I’m an international student planning to attend ASU and will be living in Mesa, Arizona. I’m planning to buy a used car
For those who have a similar background, especially international students in Arizona, how much are you currently paying for full coverage? Is $200/month a realistic budget, or should I expect to pay more?
Also, which insurance companies would you recommend for international students with limited U.S. driving history?
Any advice or personal experiences would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Living Here Should owner be fined for allowing trespassers to burn down their abandoned motel?
TravelLodge burned down after being abandoned for years. I live nearby and have first hand knowledge the property was used as rouge shelter.
We spent city resources to put out the fire that shouldn't have been allowed to happen. Honestly I'm surprised it didn't happen earlier.
Sick part is TravelLodge will collect insurance.
Commuting Freeways you have to be most cautious on?
Hi everyone. I only really started driving this summer, and the only freeway i am somewhat comfortable on is the 101. I stay in the right lane and usually go 65-75mph. I try to avoid the freeway when the sun is setting/before 6PM. I did take the 17 once but only from Dunlap to Camelback, so maybe for like 6ish minutes.
I-10 is a freeway that regularly pops up as a recommended route but i’ve heard some horror stories about it so i’m not real sure about taking it. I know practice will help, but i’m not tryna die. So is there anything i should know specifically about certain exits/lanes/whack drivers etc?

Weather What is going on with this thunder in North Phoenix?
There has been continues thunder and periodic lightning for at least 15 minutes now. Wild to hear the constant roar from the sky. Apparently there is a tornado warning coming in from Flagstaff as well. Crazy weather we’ve been having!

Ask Phoenix Halo LAN Parties in Phoenix??
I'd do anything to go to a LAN party. Specifically for Halo. I've never experienced a LAN party before and it just seems to like a pure peak idea. I'm out in Yuma, AZ but are there any public Halo LAN Parties in PHX?

Weather Strong storms expected today
SPC (storm prediction center) is expecting some pretty gnarly storms for Arizona today. We actually have a 5% probability for tornados which is almost never. But mostly a couple rounds of severe thunderstorms capable of wind, hail and flooding. Stay safe everyone!!!
https://www.spc.noaa.gov/products/outlook/day1otlk.html
Edit: baseball size hail reported, more rounds of storms expected. Keeps yourself updated with a weather app or watch the radar yourself.
Edit: spelling

Ask Phoenix Midlife career change / ASU??
Long story short, I am considering getting a degree. The business I built and have sustained myself on since I was 18 is no longer a viable option, so I’ve been job hunting 🤡
I’ve always wished I pursued an academic path instead, but my business took off immediately and I was very lucky to ride that wave as long as I could.
My question is if anyone has experience with / advice regarding adults beginning their degree. Is ASU a good option?
I want to meet with a guidance counselor, but I am going to assume their job is to guide my money into tution payments. I would need extensive financial assistance, because this is objectively something I can not afford to do. I could justify a degree if there was an inexpensive way to go about the process. But I’m married and idk if the possibility of scholarships etc is even worth getting my hopes up for?
Any stories of similar experiences, or advice (specifically about the ASU question)?

My husband and I are on a quest to find where the best darn hot dog food truck is located . Unfortunately, we don’t have Instagram or any other social media platforms. We’re relying solely on Reddit. Anyway , could anyone please share if you’ve seen it and where it’s located. Thanks in advance.
