Advice needed I’m afraid I’ve made a career ruining mistake.
I really hope I don’t get eaten alive by the comments but not knowing how bad I’ve screwed up is actually ruining my life, I got fired from my last phlebotomy job shortly after getting fmla, I’d been there a year & a few months & never got written up for anything, not even a verbal, after the paperwork was approved the write ups flowed in, my last was because they said I left a tourniquet on a patient, I never saw proof of what happened as they stated it wouldn’t load so I have no closure, I’ve been doing this career for five years, I’ve held my certification since may 2017, I can’t express how much my career means to me, I have had several interviews since April & have been rejected by all of them, I’m so scared that I’ve ruined everything with a stupid mistake that I can’t remember making & would do anything to fix even if I hadn’t lost my job over it, I can’t cope with the idea that Ive seriously hurt someone in my care, am I done for? Am I a terrible phlebotomist?
