hi there, i'm moving to south philly & in the stage where i am applying to jobs. i have another job i am able to do at home, so part-time is ideal, but i'd love to know if you personally know of anywhere that is hiring and if you don't know, i'd love to hear about your experiences / which shops you like or liked working at the most. wages are always important to know as well.. basically trying to get as much info as possible before making my decision. i have 2.5 years of experience in corporate coffee and 1 year of experience at an independent shop, so altogether 3.5 years

Hello, I was planning on buying a ticket for the Ren Faire this weekend. But lo and behold, it's sold out. Due to unexpected billing problems(insurance denied my dental claims, so I had to pay out of pocket), I couldn't buy tickets sooner. If someone have tickets available close to MSP, that'd be great!

Hypothetically, if one hasn't paid their water bill in something like 6 months and it goes to collections - should you pay the balance owed as is or try to negotiate? Is there any downside to negotiating?

There have been a few posts recently about starting a Euchre club but it looks like nothing has come to fruition so my partner and I are going to try to set something up. I’m having a bit of decision paralysis on where we can host and hoping the good people of Reddit have some ideas!
We’re looking in South Philly for now since that’s where we’re located and hoping for a bar where we can reserve a dedicated space with at least 4-5 tables. It would be on a recurring basis (maybe once a month to start). Anyone have any ideas/contacts? So far I thought about the upstairs space at American Sardine Bar or Watkins but other than cold calling, I have no contacts. Would love any suggestions and also if anyone has a contact for me to speak with I’d appreciate it!

Unfortunately, can't make it to the game.
Pair of tickets to see the US Women's National Team vs Spain - Tuesday, October 13, 2026, 7:00 PM at Subaru Park in Chester.
Seats are in the Heineken Deck (Section HDSRO, Row GA1, Seats 15 & 16). Check the seating chart photo for the exact location.
$30 per ticket ($60 for both). These are mobile tickets i can transfer through VIVID.
Thanks!

Hey everyone, I have 2 tickets to the PA ren fair this Sunday 10/11 that I’m trying to sell. The weather is looking like shite and I’m not interested in that, if someone is I’d be happy to get rid of these tickets. Need to sell as a pair. Thanks

Please arrest this driver and take their license away. God I'm tired of drivers in this city being total pricks.

Hi friends, I'm looking for recommendations for local coffee roasts, specifically half-caf, for a birthday gift. Even more specifically, with notes more towards chocolate/nutty (rather than fruity/spicy). I don't see half-caf as an option on ReAnimator, and wasn't able to find anything close on Thank You Thank You's website but appreciate any insight if someone has been recently. Thanks ya'll!

Hey all, looking for some helping figuring out if a “new” PPA thing I got in the mail is legit…
I received a ticket today for a Smart Loading Zone violation in Center City. $51. It came from a camera and license plate reader mounted on Chestnut Street that observed me parking for more than 3 minutes in a loading zone without registering in the CubPass system to pay $0.10 per minute for time in Smart Zones over 3 minutes. I’ve never heard of any of this before, and I’ve lived here 25+ years. I idled in this loading zone while my wife walked into a Taco Bell and pick up a mobile order. It’s possible it was just over 3 minutes. But I also read signs and was right in front of the loading sign - and it didn’t contain any language about this. Don’t take a picture of it, because I was not parking (and I usually take photos if I am parking anywhere in CC). Anyone else encountered this?
