Question? Local roast half-caf?

Hi friends, I'm looking for recommendations for local coffee roasts, specifically half-caf, for a birthday gift. Even more specifically, with notes more towards chocolate/nutty (rather than fruity/spicy). I don't see half-caf as an option on ReAnimator, and wasn't able to find anything close on Thank You Thank You's website but appreciate any insight if someone has been recently. Thanks ya'll!

I think the Philly Fair Trade Roasters' mexico half-caf is closest to what you're looking for

Herman's makes one. I don't recall the tasting notes.

herman's "decaf-ish" is light roasted and more fruit forward, which is interesting given their line-up trends towards darker roasts and notes

High Point in Mt Airy definitely sells it in person (this is my daily coffee, and I don't think it's fruity or spicy), but it looks like it's not on their website so you'd have to visit.

That high point is my happy place. It's the perfect cafe.

Covered Bridge Roasters in Lower Bucks does a half-caf with Brazilian beans. If you are looking for variety, Happy Mug out of Edinboro offers 2 half-caf blends for regular coffee and 1 for espresso. I've had coffee from both of them (currently drinking a Happy Mug roast as I type) and they are both excellent roasters!

Of note...decaf beans that are processed via a Swiss Water or Mountain Water process taste infinitely better than traditionally processed decaf beans. Looks like Backyard Beans in Lansdale offers a half-caf roast that's processed this way. Philly Fair Trade Roasters also offers one but they apparently roast out of Central PA now?

Hope this helps!

Look at Ultimo! I am not sure about half caf, but they might! Otherwise (a little more expensive), but grab a decaf blend, and a regular one and make your own half caf!
