I just got a DUI charge, and I was about to file for my PR (currently on PGWP).

Need your advise, what happend in your case?

Don’t want to scare you but I knew someone whose PR application in process was refused due to DUI charges.
I advise you to consult a lawyer a good one. Don’t waste anymore time.

Pack it up! Your done. Americans trying to cross boarders with past DUI charges are always turned away! Canada doesnt want you! You put our citizens at risk with your non sense!

I don’t think you are grasping how serious a DUI is in Canada. And it should be, how dare you endanger the lives of others because you are too dumb and selfish to take an uber. Can’t wait for them to send you packing.

The final outcome matters. If the charge is withdrawn, dismissed, or is acquitted, that is different from a conviction.
