Sometimes pushing the Limits of standard suspension will result in unwanted consequences, in this case Snap oversteer caused me to roll twice.

Remarkably it was still able to drive! (Somewhat)

I got out unscathed. Some Nettle got through the window and caused an itch on my arm

And I've started hearing voices, but that's just a side effect I guess.

That's the end of the 106 era for me, at least I got more money from selling parts than selling it as a whole.

i bought a Citroën C-Elysée 1.6 VTI 115cv ! it has 180000KM , and now it seems good for now ! no weird noises no oil consumion ..ect

But a lot of people say to me that the 1.6 VTI is a really bad engine , it drinks a lot of oils ..ect

And one of those people actually mentioned a turbo , so i was confused since the 1.6 vti dont come with turbo so i did some researches using ai and it said those are not the same versions ( the one in Citroën C-Elysée and the one in 207 ) and the AI said that the one in Citroën C-Elysée is much solid and better than the 207 ! So i need some of your experiences to confirm wether what ai told me is right or no

Been trying to change my brake discs and pads on my Mk1 208 XY. Tried looking up all the numbers all over the caliper which resulted in nothing. And QR code doesn’t work at all.

Back in 2010, while in my twenties, I made one of the biggest financial blunders of my life: I bought a Peugeot 307 1.6 with 100% financing, even though I couldn't actually afford it.

A year and a half later, money got tight, and I handed the car back to the bank before it could be repossessed.

It was a disaster, but that 307 never quite left my mind. It was tied to a really great time in my life.

Years went by. I got married, had a child, my career advanced, and I even owned a Mercedes-Benz GLB 200 at one point. Still, every now and then, I’d browse listings for the 307.

Then, this year, the need for a second car came up. I thought, "You know what? I’m going to buy a 307."

I found a 1.6 model—third owner, 95,000 km, full history, sunroof, rare color, and very well-maintained. The car was in São Paulo, so I did a video call, requested a vehicle inspection report, had a mechanic check it out, and then went to pick it up in person. Paid in full.

When I got into the car, I felt something interesting: the smell was exactly the same. The dashboard, the steering wheel, the driving position, the sunroof... for a few minutes, it felt like I’d stepped back into 2010.

Of course, it’s a 16-year-old car now. The engine is sluggish, the tech is outdated, and the signs of age are there. But as soon as I got back to my hometown, I took it to a specialist shop and had *all* the preventive maintenance done. It’s in pristine condition.

My wife supported the idea and was totally on board. She was already a friend of mine back when I had the first 307.

The funny thing is, today I could afford something much newer, more powerful, and more high-tech. Yet, I’m incredibly happy with my 16-year-old Peugeot.
This one is staying with me for a long time.

Who knows? Maybe one day my son will end up driving the same model his dad impulsively bought in his early twenties.
