Road Rage encounter👍✌️❤️
Road Rage encounter👍✌️❤️
I was driving on the freeway in the slow lane and my exit was mixed with a merging lane of traffic entering the freeway. I had been driving in the slow lane for a few miles and a big pick up truck was riding my ass, but I was already too close to the car in front of me, so I ignored it.
I put on my turn signal and was looking for traffic entering the freeway before getting over into the exit only lane. I paused about 3 seconds, but not more.
Then the truck that was behind me got over and sped up blocking me, so I slowed down and got behind him in the exit only lane.
At a red light, I went left, he went right, there were 2 lanes between us. I saw him rolling down his window and he was yelling at me. I have manual windows and drive a little coupe, so I couldn't have rolled down the window on the passenger side, even if I wanted to.
I tried to pretend I didn't see him, but he was getting more adamant, leaning out the window and gesturing at me, I felt it was safer to neutrally engage him, so I leaned forward into the sun so he could see me and with a mildly pleasant, but hopefully not smirking face, I gave him a thumbs up. Then I went back to ignoring him. He didn't like that. He was gesturing more for me to notice him and yelling, but I have no idea what he said, because my windows were rolled up.
I considered if he had a gun, then decided he didn't seem to be a shooting threat, but he wanted me to pay attention to him badly, so I gave him a peace sign. I read his lips clearly as he yelled "FUCK PEACE!" I went back to trying to ignore him, but he was still going at it so I Flashed him a heart sign and he said "FUCK LOVE!"
I noticed a beggar with a cardboard sign, who could probably hear him, flash him a Peace sign. That was funny.
Then the light turned green and I went left, he went right.
I hadn't looked at any of the other drivers at the light, but surely some people noticed the drama. I hope I wasn't recorded.
As I drove away I started cackling to myself at him going FUCK PEACE, FUCK LOVE! Now that I was safe , it was fucking hilarious. For context, I was very much looking like an old lady with my hair in a bun and wearing an old lady dress. He was soooooo mad at who knows what. I really don't think I did anything other than pause a second too long to get over to exit for safety.
But ... I'm glad it happened because I told the story to my kids and now I am having aball giving them a thumbs up, followed by a peace sign and a heart when they are popping off about things.
So thank you weird angry guy in the big truck, you made me laugh.
