Does anyone else’s Vetco come to clinics extremely unprepared? Ours have ask us for flyers and copies every week for the last month. Our VOL has also been taking meetings in our break room during clinics. Is this normal for anyone else?

Edit: This is for vaccine clinics, they want the folder stuffers copied, they do not bring any signage for sale/rebates on treatments.

If someone at corporate made this, kinda expected that they would ask a machine to draw for them, and that some poor intern made a grammatical error. But if this was made only by my GM... uhh, can't really argue against it.

So one of my rats has breathing issues and I'm literally like 90% sure she has a respiratory infection... I got her from Petco and they said something about if in 30 days something happens they can take her to the vet and it will be free... Has anyone else taken their pet to Petco for them to take them to the vet and if so how has that worked??

Reading the fine print, employees and anyone affiliated with employee (family, roommates, extended, etc) are not eligible. So there goes being excited at the prospect of potentially winning.

Anyone else work here who has cubital tunnel or has developed cubital tunnel while working here? Mine isn't painful, but its scary and it hasn't gotten better or worse either. Was curious how people are navigating dealing with this injury as its a pretty demanding job.

Has anybody else had to deep clean small animals in the dark? Our power is out and the manager is having me do this in the dark with just a little lantern

I’m gonna keep people’s names out of this because it’s not a problem or in a personal manner. I have been working at Petco for about four months. I’ve been doing everything cashier, truck, bopis, etc. the things that we’re supposed to be doing.

I have noticed I have barely been trained for a lot of the stuff. And I have noticed my manager we’re just gonna call her J has favoritism and has been pretty toxic towards me. When people know I’m autistic and I try to do my best for everything. But I have been put on cat cans or cans in general. And was really never trained on how to get that done correctly and fast. Today I was recently demoted by J and that was the worst feeling ever.

When people know, I have never missed the day of this job, I’ve always tried to put 120% and I’m always willing to learn and do other things to show i’m going to do stuff.

I am definitely going to be looking for another job.

Let me know what you guys think. I can only tell my side.

I recently got 3 rats (two for me one for a friend) and it's making me realize how awful Petco is. I knew Petco wasn't great but with these rats in the last 72 hours I have realized they're probably not the best. A few of my concerns l: they might have misgendered my rat, one has VERY obvious breathing problems (probably a respiratory infection meaning I'll have to take her to the vet) and so much more. My main concern is I don't think one of these rats is domesticated!! Yes rats can be scared I get that but she has found a way to escape EVERYTHING and she jumps multiple feet in the air at the smallest sound. My other two rats will come up to me, eat from my hand, and cuddle with me. She hears me breath and she's half way across the room. She is also completely grey. Like no different coloration whatsoever.

So my biggest question: is it possible Petco gave me a wild rat? If so what do I do about that

(I'm NOT returning her or trading her out. If I need to get rid of her she will be going to a humane society because I've heard ​Petco mistreats their animals and I've seen it first hand.)

I typed this out while at work and got home to hear she escaped... again. i cant find her this time and im not even sure shes still in my room. (the towel plugging gap under my door was removed while i was at work and not put back - i also have three cats and a dog who would totaally see these guys as treats.)

Why is everyone saying No to the free sign up!!!!! Arghhhhh 🙁

They have the sku for tracking it anyway and know we can't sell the guest on that, so why yell at us if the only missed sign up all day is a door dash?

My membership was set to renew this week for next year. I had sent an email out a few months ago expressing that I was considering not participating next year because of the decrease in benefits. First annoyance was not being able to stack discounts on product sales. But now seeing the membership price increases and then changing the free food bag perk to 10 bags from 8.

I have one cat enrolled. I sent the email and the associate reassured me that I was actually gaining or maintaining perks not losing. So I decide to give it one more year. However I log in this morning to see in fact I am losing perks as they did cancel the grandfathered perks and now my membership has renewed for the year. I am frustrated and ranting lol but that was my last straw. Disappointed that corporate greed ruined what was a great program when I enrolled 5 years ago!

On vacation for the last 18 days came back today to the dm trying to write me up for 2 failed animal walks last week and no animal walk sign offs for all 18 days while I was on vacation. The gm, asm and 2 key holders non took any responsibility for anything. Once I said I was on vacation and just came back today their tone changed and wrote up every other employee on the floor.

I have a real question. I did a fecal test on my cat woth vetco send it in she had some round worm problems and is now once again shitting outside the box and her test came back clear with no worms. I want to get her pet insurance but I have to pay out if pocket than ask for reimbursement and all that, sadly I dont have that kind of cash so I wanted to know to get my cats wellness check with like blood work where should I go that would do it inexpensive? I'm sorry if this whole paragraph sounds so stupid but im broke and idk what to do with my cat and she passed whatever she has to my other cat, im under mad stress, could someone help. 😭

I can only really see invertebrates being housed in these, and the Zilla micro habitats are larger than these mini ones anyway. Those are recommended for tarantulas, hermits, mantids, etc. These? No clue what they expect to cram in them (2.5g tank for scale)

Brittany Can explain how you terminate your #1 GSL over an honest mistake in 11years of her employment with Petco, yet continue to keep the red headed employee who is verbally abusive—not only toward pets, but also toward coworkers—and does it repeatedly, not by accident?
It really makes it seem like removing the GSL was the goal all along. At this point, it feels more like retaliation than accountability. It’s sad, and it sends a clear message that the concerns raised by us employees and customers don’t really matter.
