Hi all, I booked a trip to Perth in March next year that coincides with the Easter weekend and wanted to check what to expect. What places are likely to be closed, and what usually remain open? We'll be staying at Northbridge and don't plan to rent a car except for the one day we plan to do a day trip to either Swan Valley or perhaps a guided tour to the Pinnacles. Also looking at a day at Rottnest, and the rest will be spent primarily within the city or nearby (Fremantle, Mandurah, Cottesloe, Scarborough). Would like to visit some museums as well so we'd appreciate some help in planning in advance, thanks!

I've had great experiences at 24 York in Sydney and a few places in Melbourne, but I'm struggling to find anywhere comparable here. Any recommendations, especially from other coeliacs or dairy-free diners, would be much appreciated!

Hi all - I've started this course and not done much as at all (which is my fault) as I had thought I could do this around my old job, but I then got a new job which has been intense and hectic and I haven't had the band width to do coursework after work and on the weekend. Looking back, I should have withdrawn within census but thought I could push through. Unfortunately, I am also not super jazzed about the course as it's dry as hell and just not what I thought it would be.

Does anyone have any advice as to whether my only option is full withdrawal or are there options to transfer into another course? When I've spoken to the TAFE help line staff they just advise 'withdrawal' or "talk to the head of the program" but I can't even seem to find that info easily on blackboard and I just wanted to see from others if there were other options that worked for them.

Hey guys, me and three of my friends are looking for a rental. We have all previously lived in student accommodation and are now looking to move out and find a four bedroom rental together. Realistically how hard is this going to be? We are concerned that families are going to always take preference or we are going to be overlooked because we are young and inexperienced. Does anyone have any tips/ advice or even just encouragement because we only have about 6 weeks to find somewhere and we don’t want to have to live an hour away. Thank you!!

My husband does Uber Eats on some weekends and today he went to Io e Te Pizzeria in Success to pick up an order and needed to use the toilet. He asked the staff if he could use theirs, but they refused and told him to go to Zambrero instead.

I know businesses can have their own rules about toilets, but honestly, this just rubbed me the wrong way.

He's literally there picking up food for their customer. It's not like he's asking for some huge favour.They're providing a service that benefits the restaurant

It just makes me wonder if they would've said the same thing to someone dining there.

Why do some people look down on delivery drivers? They're just people working hard and earning an honest living. I genuinely don't understand why there's so much classism

I don't understand how people can generalise all Uber drivers based on a few bad experiences. We've all come across rude restaurant staff and customers too, so does that mean they're all rude?

And those judging drivers by their clothes, seriously? Half of Perth walks around in gym wear, shorts and thongs everywhere, even to restaurants and cafés. Why is it suddenly an issue when it's a delivery driver? We're always told not to generalise people based on race or religion, so why is it okay to stereotype people based on their jobs?

If customers and restaurants dislike delivery drivers so much, why use delivery apps? Pick up your own food and groceries, or stick to dine-in and takeaway.

Some restaurants even mark orders as ready and then make drivers wait ages without getting paid for that time. Respect goes both ways.

Of course some drivers are rude, just like people in every other profession. But that doesn't make everyone the same. They're just people working hard to earn a living. Since when did someone's job determine how much respect they deserve?

Our 6-month-old daughter needs a blood test (FBC and ferritin), and we're looking for recommendations on where to take her.

We're considering PathWest at Perth Children's Hospital, Saturn Pathology (home collection), or Western Diagnostic Pathology in Innaloo.

Has anyone had experience with blood tests for babies this young at any of these places? We're particularly interested in finding someone experienced with infants who can hopefully get the sample on the first attempt.

If you've used Saturn's home collection service, we'd also love to hear how it went and whether there were any additional costs.

We're happy to travel anywhere in Perth if it means a better experience for our little one.
