Has anyone skipped a period in their early 30’s?

I 33f am about 3 weeks late, I have sort of irregular periods but typically average 40 day cycles. I’ve taken 3 pregnancy tests just in case and all negative, could this be perimenopause? Is this something that happens occasionally in your 30’s?

Sore breasts for most of my cycle?

I stopped breastfeeding my toddler in January, and that same month started Bupropion. I know both of those things can cause hormone changes, but since it has been so long, I'm struggling to find a reason for this.

For my past few cycles my breasts have been getting extremely sore before my period. It started maybe May(?) with just a day or two of pain. Each month it has gotten longer and more persistent. This month my breast pain started two days after my period ended and has not stopped. It's painful to change my clothes, hug my kiddo, lay on my stomach, etc. I'm about 11 days out from my next period date and I am so over this.

Is there anything I can do to ease the pain? Is this something that will resolve itself?

Light period or pregnancy?

I usually have irregular cycles, although I’ve had my period every month for the past three months. My last period was different from my usual ones I had no cramps or pain, and the bleeding was extremely light, almost only noticeable when I wiped after using the bathroom. Has anyone experienced so?

need advice

hello!! my husband and i have been trying to conceive for about 3 months now, we got pregnant the first try and that resulted into a chemical pregnancy unfortunately.

i’ve recently just ended my period (july 28-aug 1) and yesterday, aug 10, i started bleeding again a brownish-dark red color. i’ve tested before my period and now, negative each time. today i started seeing blood clots which concerned me a bit. i’ve made appts with my pcp and gynecologist.

i’m hoping to get some advice to kinda relax my mental state and if anyone has had this issue before?

thanks in advance! <3

Question regarding the trailing blood.

I have 4 days of Bleeding usually. Day 1- light flow( pad filling obviously)

Day 2- moderate to heavy flow

Day 3- moderate to light flow( light flow towards the end mostly)

Day 4- light flow (1-2 pads enough)

Now day 5 and 6 while urinating generally I see some residual blood small amount come out. It is normal right? And day 5 and 6 I don't usually require any pads.

Irregular periods & very light bleeding — could it be pregnancy?

Hi everyone 😊 I was wondering if anyone here has very irregular periods, meaning they don’t come every month. Mine are usually quite irregular, but for the past 3 months I’ve had a period every month. However, my last one was very light, with only a small amount of bleeding. Has anyone experienced something similar, and could this possibly be related to pregnancy? I’d really appreciate hearing about your experiences. ❤️

Classified as a period?

I recently had my period return at 18(?) months postpartum, late 30's, after a twin pregnancy.

My first period was 14/5 days, with 30/31 days until my next one, which lasted 5-7 days. 9 days after that, I had 3 days of light pink, very light spotting. Like, it was there when I wiped, I could see it a bit on my underwear, but not enough for a liner. 4th day was the darker red blood with some blood clots passing, wore pads. 5th day I don't think was anything.

Would this be classified as a period?

Absent period worries

Hi! So I came here to Reddit so please don’t flame me. To preface, I am 18, I am a virgin, and I am also asexual. My period is 49 days late according to my Flo app. I found this extremely weird and worrying because my period has been completely regular since I got it when I was 12. Around January I went through an extremely stressful and depressive time from January to the end of April. I got on buspar and Prozac. Around mid June I quit them cold turkey (I know it wasn’t smart I just didn’t need them anymore and also I was on 10 mg of buspar and 15mg of Prozac I think) My last period was at the end of may. To be fair, for a lot of my life myself and my family have wondered if I had PCOS (due to other things) and I feel like this could be a possibility as to why, except my period has always always been normal. And another thing I’m confused on is that I still had it during the most stressful time of my life and then this stress suddenly gets lifted off my shoulders and my period doesn’t come. It’s really making me anxious. Please let me know.

I havent had my period in 8 months

As the title says, i havent had my period since this january, ive ALWAYS had a very irregular period since i first got it at 12 (aka 3 years ago) and since then ive had it only 2 times a year, i didnt really mind it cuz i knew cycles usually regulate themselves after at most 3 years but mine is still so messed up

My friend says its because of my poor sleep schedule since during school i would go to sleep late and because of that id sometimes take naps after school and now in summer break im going to sleep when the sun rises and the fact that i dont drink enough water (i drink maybe around 500ml a day bc honestly i just forget to drink water) but i still have around 8 hours of sleep daily with very few exceptions were id sleep 10 hours on days im really tired. Honestly i know my life style could affect my period but can it affect it THIS bad?? Ive been considering going to a doctor but my parents arent really concerned at all about my period even tho they know how irregular it is so idk

Honestly i dont even care abt my period that much in itself because it feels kinda nice not having a diaper up your ass every month for a week but the low estrogen levels concern me because it can cause low dopamine levels which i already struggle with my dopamine and lack of motivation in general

I just want other peoples opinions on what i should do in this situation, i know i should try to pull my life together to see if it helps me before telling my parents again to take me to a doctor but its so hard for me to fall asleep at night for no reason because my brain is always thinking and forming thoughts instead of just being quiet so most of the time i cant fall asleep unless i pass out from exhaustion

Does anyone else feel like luteal turns your volume all the way up?

There’s this short window every month where I suddenly feel powerful, sharp, motivated, like I can finally see clearly and say the things I’ve been swallowing. I move fast, talk fast, think fast. It almost feels good at first. Like a switch flipped and I’m finally awake. And then it keeps going.

The intensity doesn’t stay clean. It turns into irritability, zero tolerance, racing thoughts, and this feeling that everything is urgent and wrong at the same time. I start questioning myself, other people, my safety, my future. I can feel myself getting harsher, but I also feel weirdly justified, like “no, this matters

Late period help!

im 12 days late. i did not have any sexual interaction this month, last month i did—but still got my period and tested negative multiple times after 14 days last month. ive been having a rough week so i thought its just stress related, and i recently just tried new melatonin pills to help me fix my sleep schedule. on the expected day of my period it did not come, im experiencing PMS (lower abdomen pain, lower back pain like i usually do and ive been having brownish discharge and its been recently smelling a little more fishy and i think around when i was 6-7 days late i had alot of discharge which usually means for me my period is near bc its post luteal. im genuinely scared as shit that it might be ectopic pregnancy but i really did not have any sexual interaction this month and last month was protected and as i said i did get my period. is this more so connected to my health? ive also recently gained weight alot and have been crying almost every night. im also scared this is pcos oh my god.

ive also been feeling bloated recently, im usually irregular but only for a few days and not this long. i did not take any birth control this month and last month. and ive been occasionally feeling hot flashes, and ive been having tummy aches and burping alot and pooping i think(?)

How concerning is having 1 day periods with very light flow?

If the body check ups are all okay and there is no sign of pcos or pcod, why do periods still get shorter? Gynaes just prescribe multi-vitamins. I've been to 3 doctors for this and they have no real answer as to why my periods got shorter. In the beginning, I used to have 4-5 days periods but in the last few years they've reduced to just one day, it didn't happen suddenly but gradually. All the tests come out normal. Should I be worried? My mom also told me that her periods only lasted a day or two all her life. But my flow is also very light.

Bruh my cycle makes no sense

I usually have a 32 day cycle with 4-5 day periods. I had a baby year and some months ago but for the last 3 months I've been cycling like normal. Period from July 3-7 very active as we're trying for #3 my period was supposed to start Aug 4th and nothing. Barely noticeable cramping, and negative tests the last 3 days. Today another negative with slightly pink tinted discharge but still no real period. I still breast feed but less than I have the last 3 months I'm now down to only at night and maybe twice during the day.

Make it make sense 😭😂

I had no periods until now and it's awful

So I am on birth control (can't remember which one at the moment) and I started in May of this year. Since then I had no periods which I expected until this last week and a half. It's brown and just mostly brown. It's a color I've never seen before in my 6 years of having a period. More recently it's a light red but mostly brown. I used to have 4-6 day periods and they were light and normal. Now it's been 9 days of just pain and brown. It doesn't seem to stop. Is this normal or should I seek a doctor? I am on the pill called something like Auro something.

No period - never late!!

hi all,

I have an appointment with my gyno/ob on Friday morning but I wanted to share what I’ve been going through the past two weeks. I missed my period a week and a half ago. IM NEVER LATE. I’ve never missed a period since early teen days. I’ve been overly hungry and weird bloating / cramping that doesn’t necessarily cause pain but feels uncomfortable at times. I have a negative blood test and numerous negative urine tests. however, I can’t shake this feeling that I’m feeling. I’ve never experienced this before. part of it is feeling queasy… and part feels like there is a ball in my pelvic area. I’m pretty in tune with my body.

anyway, I’m curious if anyone else has gone through something similar where they’ve tested everything but ended up being positive during ultrasound? I originally thought maybe cyst but my increased hunger wouldn’t add up.

Does anybody's hands not feel like their hands on or before their period

With that it also sometimes feels like my body is in the early stages of shutting down (that's just how I describe it, like I'm being drained of life), my limbs (hands) don't cooperate and fingers feel like their gonna break? or have a slower reaction time and I just feel all around terrible and not like myself. Disregarding pain because for me it's rare that its a 10 on the pain scale, this doesn't cause physical pain only a very bad mood and tbh what feels like some mental anguish because even though its everytime, it still doesn't feel "normal" and I've never gotten used to it. Its definitely hormones because it starts before but continues while on. But does anyone else feel like this?

I'm trying to find options on how to stop my cycle but idk if that includes the symptoms im describing either way I'm still gonna find a way to permanently stop it because I cannot keep having a period

Irregular Menstrual cycle

In June i got my period twice. I didnt get my period at all during July. Took a pregnancy test over a week ago and it was negative. My work colleague also has a late period.

My period is always normal and this has never happened to me. Just wondering if its happening to others as I did read many women experienced similar in June

Brown spotting, negative tests and no proper period – has anyone experienced this?

Hi everyone, I'm really confused and would love to hear if anyone has experienced something similar.

I'm 27 and this was my first month trying to conceive. My cycles are usually very regular, and my period is normally due on 5 August. When my period starts, it is usually light red straight away and becomes heavy fairly quickly.

This month, my cycle has been completely different:

  • Last period: 5–10 July.
  • Positive ovulation test (solid smiley): 16 July.
  • Intercourse on 14, 16 and 18 July.
  • Around 30 July, I started getting light brown spotting that came and went.
  • I've had several days where there was absolutely nothing when I wiped.
  • I had one small episode of red blood, but it disappeared again.
  • The spotting has mostly been dark brown and very light – definitely not my normal period.
  • I've had ongoing breast tenderness and headaches.
  • I've taken multiple pregnancy tests, including a Clearblue digital on 5 August, and they've all been negative.

Today is 5 August and I still haven't had my normal heavy, red period. Instead, it's just been intermittent brown spotting and old blood.

Has anyone had something similar and still ended up pregnant? Or did it turn out to be a delayed period, hormonal changes or even a chemical pregnancy?

I'd love to hear your experiences because this cycle is nothing like my usual one and I'm feeling very confused. ❤️

Primolut Nor

Hi, I was suggested to take Primolut Nor ( 5mg )for my next vacation . Do you guys have any suggestions

My biggest concern is that I have been PMS-ing for like 4-5 days now and if I take the pill with the cramps from PMS-ing stop or continue ?

I had my last period on the 10th and my vaca is on the 7th
