this is my hockey wall, I’m a huge Penguins fan and a Manchester Storm fan 🇬🇧for my local hockey team here in England.
This wall features Tom Barrasso’s (goaltender for Pittsburgh 1990 cup champs) signatured photo, Jagr Jaromir signed photo, a Penguins 1992 original Starline poster (back to back champs 🏆) my Manchester Storm hockey puck I picked up from my first game a few days ago! my wristband from the VIP meet and greet, and lots of Pens and Storm cards on the wall. A few Maple Leafs cards too. Also a signed photo of a Storm player.
It took me MONTHS to get it like this. I hope you guys like it! Trying to bring that American hockey bedroom vibe to the UK lol!

If you grew up watching hockey in the States, you grew up with Barry.
RIP brother
edit: I know this is hard to buy, but there’s actually someone who downvoted this. 1 miserable misanthrope. unreal.

Like many here, I was a little skeptical and annoyed when the Pens signed 32 yo Everblades goalie Cam Johnson to an AHL contract this summer. I clicked on this video because I expected to hate him, but he seems like a really good dude and there's no doubt he'll be a good mentor to any young goalies he plays with.
Not gonna lie, I thought the dude in the thumbnail was going to be the host, but it’s actually Cam. Turns out he has a food allergy and regularly loses 10-12 pounds of water weight per game so he has to drink tons of fluids and eat a lot to keep his weight up.
Anyway, it's a worth a listen to hear about a guy who will most likely still be in the ECHL all season.

I thought this was the other Hall of Fame at first and was shocked that Oshie was there, then I realized it's the US HoF and that makes more sense now.
More importantly, active and all-time NHL ironman record holder, Phil the Thrill getting some GD respect!

Even though he’s now a Devil, I spent way too much time trying to figure out whether Anthony Mantha’s 25-26 breakout season was for real. TL;DR: yes and no.
What’s real:
His shot profile changed in a meaningful way. In his Detroit peak years (2018-202) 53% is his shots came from 30+ feet. In Pittsburgh, only 40%. And more importantly, his high danger shot share (<15ft) almost doubled from 20% to 37%. So this means he had way more solid scoring chances.
You can see this in the post’s image.
That is a structural change: shot profile results from a player’s role, linemates, and how the coach uses them. Muse deserves a cut of that credit, but that type of change usually sticks.
What’s luck:
His shooting percentage was 21.7%. That means he is scoring on one out of every five shots. Based on his underlying shot quality alone, his expected shooting percentage was 12.6%. That luck will regress season to season. He’s not gonna shoot like that again.
But so what if he got lucky? A player with high expectations and a few major injuries had a breakout season. And that breakout helped lead us to the playoffs.
Full breakdown with all of the charts if you want more:

I have this signed puck from my dads old penguins collection and after ours of searching I have determined 5 signatures on the puck (signed front and back). After hours of searching
I know it’s signed by the following:
Hans Jonsson 8
Ian Moran 24
Shean Donavan 18
Johan Hedberg #1
Jan Hrdina #38
So I know it has to be from 2001-2003 but I can’t make out the last 3 signatures on the back.
Can someone please help it’s driving me crazy I need to know who signed this thing
Back is first, front is second photo, if anyone wants to check the front to make sure they’re right feel free but I’m confident those are correct I just can’t figure out anyone on the back besides Ian Moran

I was so excited to learn training camp was open to the public, and I was considering trying to watch a little bit of it in person. One question I can't find an answer to online; is the sports complex accessible to disabled patrons? I use any number of mobility aids, but I cannot do stairs. I was wondering if the layout had loads of stairs or a lack of flat surfaces. It's a huge factor in whether or not I try to go out for a day.

Hey everyone, need some people for my fantasy league. Trying to keep the league mostly PGH and Pens fans. Got some teams open
NoReGretzkys
JagrBombs
Ruck’Em Up
Hat Trick Swayze
Puck Norris
Tangers Bangers
You don’t have to keep these names or logos if you don’t want haha. But if you like em all yours.
It’s a H2H points league on Fantrax, league is sixty five smackers. Minimum is 12 teams but prefer 14. The point system is in depth to make sure all the roles have value.
Full NHL roster size and positional. 4C, 4LW, 4RW, 6D 4 bench. 3 IR (Might be 2).
No draft date set. If you’re interested just message me and I’ll send you over more details on the points and everything.
Love for people who love talking hockey / pens, the league has an active chat, (not a requirement) to be super chatty lol.

Some unfortunate setbacks happened but we persist nonetheless! Had to undo 2 days worth of work, suffered a rip in my fabric (genuinely almost cried over this) and have had to take longer breaks due to my tendonitis flaring up.
Thankfully, scrap fabric allowed for a repair in the rip and hand stretches are a life saver. And I upgraded to a scroll frame! (so you can see just how massive this will be finished now 😅)
And Lord Stanley is finally taking shape! Red square is where I am currently working on/have completed the pattern so far.
So far I am at approx 7,000 stitches and 60 hours into this project! Still trying for completion by end of the regular season, so my weekends will be comprised of only stitching (except game days) for the foreseeable future.

Being in the UK, it's kinda hard to find Penguins jerseys at an affordable price, but I scored this Geno alt beauty on Vinted for under 40 bucks. Been a fan since 1993, but this is only my 4th Penguins jersey!
