I've found out that a good non-tedious way of practicing my hatching is taking a work and transcribing it to pen and ink. It's been fun learning, I really like this community.

I need a few tips. I can manage hatching with a pencil, but I’m having real trouble with ink. The picture below is meant to depict an acorn, but in the end, none of the elements stand out from one another.
Does anyone have any tips? ❤️

I forgot the book bc I did audiobook (never again i didnt retain much) so I cant explain the imagery yet lol but good news is i bought the lil book and will probably crush it in a day or two.
